So! Yet another game has peaked my interest and I have been starting out on my journey in Elite Dangerous with some guys from work. I am loving the way this game plays and the interfaces you use within your ship and also just how big the scale of this game is incredible. I know that this has been around for a long time so I wondered who else has played/plays this? and if anyone has any hints or tips other then stay away from hollow triangles? lol. I have just started out by doing some light courier work to get cash to improve my ships cargo capacity and have only had a few people try to shoot me down but somehow managed to boost away from the situation while the "galaxy police" take care of the bad guys. The game is currently on offer on steam at the moment which made the decision easier and I can see many hours being sunk into this carrying out bounties or just shipping and trading bits until I am at a decent level. Overall I am super impressed with my first few hours gameplay and will see if I can keep updating this thread now with screenshots and info that I find while travelling throughout the galaxies and any adventures I have. GGFG!

I'm trying not to put on my "capitalism caused this" cop-out cough cough, but then I look at it in terms of general organisation and if it makes sense to reward the short-term thinking; the greed; and waste of resources and human beings our current mode of economics is famous for. I also look at the developers/workers/people actually creating and making the games not being the owners of their creations and why freedom loving people would allow themselves to be so abused. I hear union activity and mutual aid is increasing in the sector but it's woeful right now. And everyone plays a part in some way I suppose. We're certainly not helped by all the stupid fucks who will buy any old shit if it has a bit of sparkly tinsel stuck on the cover (which occasionally includes me to be fair). 😁

The gaming industry will continue to be a disaster that releases hot piles of garbage until they stop putting people who only care about money in charge. Care about money, but care about the quality of games too if you're going to lead a gaming company. Care about the well being of your employees a bit. Creatives are not factory workers. Creatives cannot just "make" it happen. Gaming devs need to focus on the task at hand... not be told to do a million other things. Look at Guerilla Games. They shifted gears completely, focused on one game... and now they have everyone's attention. Look at Bend Studios. Look at Iron Gate. Look at what proper growth can look like when you look at Square Enix. Conversely, look at how major games with cult followings failed when money-hungry leaders took the reigns (basically any EA acquisition). The gaming industry is going through some serious rough patch... oddly at the same time that I think the Anime/Manga industry is as well. Great games just happen rarely now.. just like great manga and anima rarely happens.

I too have this game, maybe 20 hours in. I made the mistake of jumping outside the safe zone and now I can't get back in. I think I may start over. Mind if I join you guys? I bought it because a friend at work has over 2100hrs in this game. I love feel of it but it's lonely and without the building like NMS, I got bored. Mostly because I think I messed up my leaving the system too early but I'm not sure. Have not played with anyone yet in multiplayer situation. I do find that having a stick and throttle is THE ONLY way to play lol.

If they can put in the 2 maps into rotation that would be ideal. Adds to the surprise factor of which map you'll be flying into.

Interesting, I bought the game back when I had a 4Pro. I've not logged into it since getting the 5. I do like the game. FG nights would be fun!

Oh, I'll probably put a bunch of fires in it after I clear it... But, someone :: cough :: @TurboR56Mini :: cough :: seems to take issues with my random "beacons of hope". 🙃 I actually use Needle Arrows since we have killed so many Deathsquitos. Alternating between actual Poison and Fire arrows for multiple "damage over time". Have yet to really use Frost arrows. They breed so quickly! It's like Tribbles from Star Trek! I was laughing when @TurboR56Mini showed me a pic from something he built last night, and there was a wolf cub wandering around next to his new building lol. Also, might as well make them useful if they are going to reproduce like bunnies everywhere.

Ok so I'm back. La ( @RenFengge ) and I started walking around during her off workout days. This evening we wanted to enjoy the nice 65 degree (18.33 cubits or whatever) weather and decided to visit our neighboring town Greenwich. Now this is not the English version but it is the OG one here in the US. Like bought from natives (Siwanoy) for "25 English coats", (no shit, that's real) in 1640 with old, white, fuck you money types. To illustrate, on the way to park we passed not one but two Bentley Speed GT Verts, and not those poor people used ones, we are talking factory fresh, 15 cow interior brandy new ones. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Bentley man myself and I would 100% flash that big dick energy money if I had it. But alas I don't so we parked...next to a brand new BRG Bentayga...it's a neato way to buy a 250K VW Touareg... Anyway, our few mile walk produced some fun shots. I'm getting reacquainted with Lightroom and I'm enjoying the results. This little camera is a powerhouse, and I like shooting in 35mm equivalent prime with no chimping as the XPro-3's rear screen is a fold down which makes it harder. It's a real hard habit to break but needed. This makes you feel the shots more and when I get home to process, I get to see what I got. Harkens back to the film era and I like that. Since I can only upload one it seems, I made it this tasty E Type...in the mix we have a '55 Merc 300SL Gullwing, a Rolls, and a few other goodies. 4/3/2021 Workout Mixed Martial Arts - Intro Session Thoughts: So, I don't think the FMA teacher is going to be for me. There's not enough structure in it for me to learn anything worthwhile. As for this MMA place I checked out today... I have been somewhat curious about this place and its instructor for probably a year. I just would always think, "Ugh. I'm not going to Norwalk." It's about 15 - 20 minutes from me, and the times never seemed to work for me. However, we're still remote, and I just wrapped up my boxing package for now. Onto the next thing. Jonesly (my instructor for this place) is intense. And, after today's session, probably the only one who will be able to fix some of my footwork. I will, unfortunately, have to fight with gloves. But, I'm wondering if I can at least go down to MMA gloves. I guess we will see. Jonesly will be teaching me more close quarters combat, which I have always actively avoided. While it's where almost all real fights end up in, my training and how I like to fight is to end it in 3 moves or run away. There will be no getting me on the ground. But, that's not realistic, is it? So, okay. BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai it is. This is all new to me. Haven't been this nervous about a physical activity in a while. Should be good.
