Name: Grand Central Location: FG Server, Home Base UPDATE: Poked around the inside tonight, goal was getting a working level 3 forge, meadery (cauldron & fermenter), and legit storage bank. After farming 70 copper to make the magic happen, I went to work. I'm quite happy with the results and think this might be the best, and most compact storage set up. This allows 500u of 12 items in only 2 x 1.5 cubed area, 500x16 for a 2x2 or 6k and 8k unit capacity respectively. That's pretty compact considering most small outposts are at least 4x6! I splurged with some sconces but never fear, there is plenty more copper out in the world. I guess I was that anal-retentive guy for label and sorting after all. So go out, forage and bring back the spoils to the potion pantry. I plan on doing similar ones for other goods as well. Last but not least, feel free to have a brew and curl up by the fire on backs of all those deer we slaughtered!!

Another good night of racing, 13 of us in the first race, the maximum it allows is 16 and I think we’ll get that when everyone is free. Just going to talk about my experience today. I’m starting to find some improvement now in my wheel driving and I’m almost as fast as I was on controller. Felt I had some pace last night in qualifying for the first time. I’m still more inconsistent and prone to silly mistakes on the wheel and my race pace needs improving but overall I’m improving and enjoying the feeling of improving. I qualified well for race 1 and was going well but for an incident I thought was caused by @GazzaGarratt shunting me, which was not the case, I’m going to watch that back to see what happened. Race 2 I messed up the start and went straight to the back but quickly made up places and went up to 3rd or 4th…until I was rear ended by @Stretch616 going round the last corner. I’m so unlucky😅 I enjoy driving that Mazda and it was a fun race, if a bit slow. Should really have finished 3rd in race 3. I qualified in 3rd and followed behind a Greboth struggling on Hards for a couple of laps. I had a good gap to @Mikepjbell in 4th which was maintained until lap 6 where I pitted my worn Medium tyres. When I came out after pitting I was only a second behind Mike. I was cool sitting behind him at first as I expected him to pit as well. But the fucker was on Hards and stayed out. Over the next couple of laps I made multiple attempts to pass him but lost my composure on one turn, went off track and hit a wall. Great drive by Mike on dying tyres. Really enjoyed the races, some good banter and I encourage everyone to get on next week as one of the races will be the first FG League race. Which I’ll talk more of in another thread.

I added a bit of style to the back, it's a half round room that has 7 (can fit 8, need a few materials) portals, only 4 in use which frees up some space and we can put another 8 upstairs. More additions include a forge bench, for our meadery. I was half thinking of mining a basement for it since we need fire and a cauldron, still thinking about that one. I 've had to dig deep to level this land out and I might hit the water table too quickly but we will see, more to come. To Do's: I'm going to be looking to fellow Vikings to help decorate. I think the sconce lighting will be good so we need 2 copper bars per. I think maybe hang some of our trophy's on the wall? Maybe some weapons? When folks play for a bit, we will need everyone to pick up everything!! Berries, weeds, shrooms, etc. All these things are needed for potions now. Also, "bee" on the look out for bee hives, we need more queens to set up more hives here at the meadery. Finally, I need our more anal-retentive or OCD folks to help with chest signage, at this point, having dedicated chests for everything is probably a must with signs.

Ok, so here we go. Spring Season starts on March 2nd and each Tuesday we will dedicate one race as a League race. Points for places from 12 weekly races. Best results from 9 races count towards final tally to decide seasonal winners. This will be decided after all 12 races are done. I'll add the specific points available at the end. I'll put a league table up after race 1. Each seasonal winner will also generate points for the Grand Final in December. Almost two years later, I'm at 208.4 as of this morning, and am in significantly better shape. I can do a 1 mile run in right at 8 minutes, 5k in under 28 minutes, 10k in under 60 minutes. The Garmin has been really helpful, both in terms of motivation and in data points and feedback.

We need a launch base/outpost for the Second Boss fight on Sunday... so, I'll go in that direction before I go south.

Good evening again, not much time to write much but I enjoyed the racing that I had. Didn't use my wheel as I've struggled for energy and time to use it this week. Whilst I was probably still faster on controller than my wheel, I knew I'd probably make enough mistakes to drop me down from the top pack as I haven't kept topped up on any practice of any kind. Still some good fights on the track and great laughs. 3 more for a full grid, its getting real close now....

Maybe it would be worth suggesting implementing drop scores, to help people who can’t make it to every race. if you say that only your top 9 or 10 scores will count towards the final total then that allows anybody to still be in contention if they have to work or have internet issues etc. only a suggestion though but I really like the idea of this @phil bottle so well done mate. Think there will be some really close racing and it’s an extra incentive to not stop pushing in a race even if it was a poor start

This sounds ace! unfortunately I probably wont make it to most of the races as its proving a struggle right now but Im happy to volunteer for any impartial decisions and reviewing footage of any dodgy drivers should it be required. Would be nice to be involved even if I cant join the races however I can lol. Good luck all!

Thanks @GazzaGarratt, I started to play with sings for the portals but it was late and it did not look good easily. I'll attack it today. As for the dock, I'm super excited for you guys to finish that. @RenFengge also realized we only explored north so far 😂. I think she plans on going south for another portal post!

It’s going to be a mixed bag next week. We’re doing a rally race, a wet race and a standard race, of which the latter will be the first FG League race, and places will determine points and standings in the Spring Season FG Race League. Calendar for next week will be up today and full league schedule for the Spring Season will be up by the end of the week. I’ll do a thread on that and explain how the points system works etc

This game was one of the few reasons for picking up a PS5 but I hear Sony are planning to let more of their games go to PC...... here's hoping😁

I still haven't finished Fallout 4. STILL! I got so distracted with base building, then there was a bug where one of my camps wouldn't get above 75% on happiness or whatever... so infuriating. Then I think I got another bug right at the end of the game, so I couldn't complete it. Great list to start with! I would say Witcher should be in there, but I haven't played any of the series. I heard it was fantastic. And, Mass Effect Legendary, just so you can see the difference in visuals (or experience it for the first time). Then there's Civilization 4, 5, and 6. I like 4 the best, but obviously 6 will be the newest graphics. So excited for you! Hope to catch you on Valheim!
