  1. I've not had any sleep...but there are some changes made as of late last night to FG. For a change, no long essay from me, no long explanation - go and have a look. Massive room for scope. Just want to hear your thoughts. GGFG

  6. i would really love if it was something like uncharted with the great characters and with puzzles etc, i was excited about the lara croft reboot trilogy but it failed so hard with the characters and it took them until the 3rd game to have proper puzzle dungeons

  7. Maybe, but with my family my gaming time is usually quite late here in the UK, maybe it would match up lol. I don't mind playing Cold War, I am on xbox but happy to play crossplay if you are, my activision id is simply konvictvivivi.

  14. if you don’t have 14secs on the heart then don’t drop down otherwise you’ll struggle to make it. If you can turn your character towards the stairs and orientate yourself whilst floating then you can but don’t risk it unless your the only one left. Drop the heart at the top for the final person then they can drop straight down. There is an easier way to do the heart run but it’s rng based on who’s picked and the person soloing it needs to be experienced

  16. I have to say mate you were very unlucky with your auto shutoff. Mine turned off as I went into that long left handed and miraculously my guess at where the track was worked out whilst I wrestled with the controller. Still not sure what was up with that last track as my optimal time was near as damn it what Greebs did, but for the life of me I just couldn’t get the sectors hooked up resulting in a fastest lap that was seconds away from what I could have done. Just a disappointing race from my side unfortunately

  17. As we can't really travel at the moment I thought I'd share some pictures of some of the places I've been over the last decade in the hopes that you guys would do the same, the one thing that has changed with covid is the lack of travel, true for others it's much worse so I get that a lot of us have been lucky so far. Pics from Norway, Australia and aushwitz and closer to home Scotland,Wales, IOM and Yorkshire. Hope the link works, it said something about not being able to embed https://www.flickr.com/gp/191699114@N02/k71n3F

  18. Awesome thread Gary @techno , i've been meaning to check it out for a while. Shropshire below - Didn't take a picture of the Cottage but its in the middle of nowhere. Over 5 days we heard 10 cars pass by the lane and this was the farm lane that owned the cottage at the bottom with their house you can see at the top of the road in one of the pics. Beautiful scenery and only an hour away from where we live. I'll go back through my pics of last few years as I'm sure I have a few places around the UK that were amazing places to visit.

Thanks for continuing to put up events @Baabcat and @RenFengge as it really is ace to see the progress but also regular activity is still strong in the game. How many triumphs for the seal have people got left to do?

  21. Thats ace, thanks @Greboth. I tried to change the PNG files i had of a few into SVG but for some reason the game still thinks they're blank. Can you look to try and get these done at all mate? These were the ones i tried but failed miserably 😞

    GT Sport - FG Races

This weeks races were a good selection @phil bottlemixing up fast and technical across the 3. Race 1 - Blue Moon Bay oval 30 laps Gr.3 We raced this track a few weeks ago but a much shorter race and without tyre wear or fuel usage. I'd used the GTR before and thanks to my Not Matt Racing livery I was going to use it again. I done a little practise to know that 10 lap old super softs were still faster than fresh racing hards and with fuel in the GTR only lasting 11-12 laps I'd settled on doing 3 stints of 10 laps each. My strategy was a gamble though based on an assumption others wouldn't be running super softs meaning I could lap quicker. Though it was risky as if I got caught in the pack then the tow would nullify my tyre advantage and 2 pitstops meant I was open to being challenged if someone eked out 15 laps of fuel and doing 1 stop. Phil had left fuel and tyre usage on for qualifying so experience and tactics came in to play, burn as much fuel as possible then pit for new tyres, no fuel and then go for a qualifying lap. Again this was a gamble as a tow helps but catching people at the wrong point of the oval does cost time and I'd only have 2 or 3 laps of actual qualifying. I got a good first lap to get provisional pole and was going better on my second but messed it up allowing Kiwi to take provisional pole. I knew a faster lap was possible so a quick dive in the pits for another new set of super softs saw me take pole. On to the race, the first corner was going to be a big deciding point of the race for me - you start getting a tow around 1 second back in GT Sport, if I could break that I was going to be in good shape. Thankfully I nailed T1 and staring at the gap to second; 1 second, 1.1 seconds, 1.2 seconds. I'd nailed T1 and got a good enough run out of it that second place wasn't in the two. After this it was a simple case of drive as fast as possible and I pulled out, I think, about 6 seconds over the first 10 laps and sticking to plan I pitted. This dropped me to the back of the field so it was now time to see how everyone else's pit stops would fall. Over the next few laps everyone pitted giving the lead back to me though I think some had stretched to lap 13 or 14 which was a concern if it could be stretched to finish without another pit stop. Lap 20 came and my second stop, this dropped me to 4th but I was gaining enough on the cars in front to know I could catch them before the end. Though without pitstops I doubt I would be able to break the tow so it would then be free for all for who could get the best tow for the line. Thankfully my gamble paid off as just as I caught up to, I think, Mike he pitted, then Kiwi pitted leaving me to chase Lee. I think I got within a few seconds and then Lee also pulled in to the pits. After this it was just keeping it clean to take the win. For all the only tuning left jokes, it ended up being quite a tactical race and one I didn't know how it would end up until Lee pitted near the end. The highlight of this race though had to be Mike asking me what tyres I would be using for me to say round ones 🤣 It was also good to see @Misneach_ bagging himself another podium. Race 2 - Sardegna Track A 7 laps Gr.4 ...or the Peugeot convention. In the quick practise going in to this race, I got the fastest time but Kiwi was close behind. Come qualifying I did a Bottas, I set the initial pace getting provisional pole but though I'd gone faster in practise I bottled my lap whereas Kiwi nailed his to take pole by just over 0.1 seconds. A few hiccoughs with getting the race started but eventually we got it sorted. From practise I knew I had the pace to get passed Kiwi but equally I know how well he can defend and it's easy to lose time and not be able to get passed. I think it was lap 1 Kiwi made a mistake on the fast left hander running wide giving me the easy lead but a mistake at the last corner allowed him to tow up behind me down the straight meaning a battle was on my hands. I left a little room open going in to the hairpin in the middle of the lap which Kiwi took taking the lead again. I think at this I followed Kiwi for the rest of the lap eventually getting passed again going in to the last hairpin where Kiwi ran a little wide giving me a gap. I think a few more mistakes from Kiwi left me unchallenged for the rest of the race. Race 3 - Kyoto Yamigawa + Miyabi 5 laps Gr4 We'd done quite a bit of practise of this track on Friday after GTA so most of us knew the track quite well. Both Mike and Lee had gotten close in practise prior to Tuesday so I knew I couldn't rest on my laurels. Come qualifying though I think both failed to nail their laps giving me pole bu ~1.5 seconds. With my pace and a short number of laps it was going to be relatively easy win so when Lee told me slow down the end of lap 1 I did...well that was a mistake. This put me in the pack with Lee, Mike and Kiwi meaning I couldn't run me normal lines or normal pace. Due to some battling at the start of lap 4 I was 3rd about 1.5 seconds off Mike in the lead but at this point I'd managed to drop Kiwi a little. Over the course of the lap both Lee and I caught up to Mike with Lee taking 2nd and me taking the lead at turn 6. With lots of corners to go I was counting my chickens just yet but sadly Lee got a penalty at the double hairpins giving me a little breathing room and allowing Mike to get 2nd right at the end.

  24. Haha @RenFengge i'm sorry! When it comes to coffee i'm not one to drink eat as I literally LOVE tea instead. My wife would probably just grounded beans but I just don't think she appreciates it as much as a few you people here do, to her own admission. At least its a decent one based on your approval though! The milk frother was the dealbreaker for her if i'm honest. I don't think its worth it without it.

  25. Well, of course you know my answer 😄 We've tried a few times for mini-leagues like this and they've always fell by the way side because of timing and commitment. The idea of doing one race on a Tuesday that is connected to this makes perfect sense in my mind. That way people can still have a good time around that race learning more tracks and cars like we always do. Annoyingly, our Tournament application might not be able to do one where we all play in the same race (its more set up to play team vs. team) but that's not a dealbreaker, we can still find ways to show this off each week if i can't get it to work. As for the guidelines to follow, i'm cool with all of that you've said. Would make it more interesting for sure. If we all have the same attitude we all do on the weekly races then it will be even more fun. Great shout @phil bottle!

  26. Thanks man, we do tend to get in the region of 10 players on a Tuesday, and possibly more, just want to know how many actually can be arsed to do the league🤪

  27. Indeed, and to answer you and @Mikepjbell at once on this, like Mr Smug😅 says, the RCZ isn't all that in Gr.3......and it's like across the board with all car makers. I have no problem with everyone choosing the same manufacturer, although that's kind of boring ha ha. And no, @Grebothyou're always a consistent dick but you've never swung it about 🥰

    Gran Turismo League

It’s easy enough to find a list of cars in game so stick them in a spreadsheet and you could quickly work out which manufactures have a car in the desired classes. That’s going to be the interesting choice though. The balancing of the cars in each class and which overall is the ‘best’. The gr4 Peugeot is great but rarely the fastest in gr3. Between those 2 classes alone it would be tough choice between Peugeot, Audi, Toyota, Porsche, Jaguar and Lexus (maybe more as I can’t remember every car in the game). Add in other classes and it becomes a much finer balancing act, Have I been smug? I’ve been a dick but I like to think I’m a consistent dick; win or lose.

  29. Hey, so is there many warzone/CoD players round these parts? All the people I used to play with seem to have binned off CoD, yet here I am still loving it but having to play alone a lot of the time.

  32. I'm just not a Warzone fan, I've stated my reasons many times. It's a huge FFA on a giant map with extreme camping, extra health so people run away in long distance fights. Teams have early loadouts and quick buy backs. I find the whole experience extremely boring, slow and long winded. I'm literally yawning atm just writing about it. If there was no Warzone? Great, then people would have to play MP. And the game would get better support and attention. Now I'm a fair guy, just because it's not my kinda thing doesn't mean others wouldn't enjoy it. I still think the warzone should be a separate game and reasonably well priced like £20. And the core game only £40-50. With different Dev support. I want it to be a separate entity and have nothing to do with the regular game. It's the we can do it all attitude with crazy money driven deadlines and ambitions that bug me and ultimately leave the game bugged. Like I said all these Season/Operator challenges filled with warzone shite that I refuse to play.

  34. Following on from the Not Matt Racing livery above, it would only be right to create it for the Blue Moon Bay race as that where it all started. So I present to you, NMR98 and NMR99 now in resplendent red, white and blue. On a side note, it also means I now have 2 GTR's as I couldn't work out how to put different liveries on the same car in one scene so had to buy a second one 😆

    Cold War - Season One

Its Alcatraz from Blackout, but day time. The rebirth resurgence version is trios, when you die there is no gulag instead you have a countdown timer for when you fly back in, as long as one of your team mates is still alive. They replaced it the last few weeks with "mini royale" instead which was quads but with gulag and a smaller portion of the map like in normal Warzone mini royale.

  48. HC is usually the place people go to do challenges, it's also not a place you find the better players, the fact you kill in one bullet actually takes less skill as you don't have to track targers, also most of the time it's not aim it's just who sees who first. People only might struggle in HC also because there's no Mimi map etc and it's impossible to avoid and escape a gunfight. Camping is also easier with no kill cam. Spyplanes especially free to earn and spammable in cold war make more of a difference in HC. Think that's about it 😉 Treyarch games have always had worse hit detection but I can't remember the last iw game I played and I've also found in the past iw games played awful in HC.
