Its been a while since I did an FG update. So bear with (with who? where is he! I can't see it!? ffs, Lee) I'm sure everyone's days are blending into one these days. 2020 has been one of those years for the history books and we could've said that in March, let alone December which is still just over 5 months away. Isolation has been a double-edged sword in some respect; its been great to see so many chances to spend more time with your immediate family at home but what comes with permanent home comforts is the lethargic lack of routine, loneliness, depression, anxiety which we've also seen impact so many of us. I imagine you all can relate to some degree? For a week or two I've wanted to write something but I've hesitated because I know I have to be ready to 'Walk the Walk' not just 'Talk the Talk' when I really want to make the most of this place for everyone and makes sense to pick up the things we've talked about over the past few years. Who knows if i'm ready, but i'm willing to give it my best shot and there's no better time to dust ourselves off in the midst of some soul searching in isolation. It'd be ace to start creating some of that Legacy i talked about in the article I did back in January. I think the best way to keep everyone in the loop is being open and letting you know a few pressing items I want to see progress with over the coming weeks and months - and I would love to get as many of you involved which I'm working on ways to get to that. Please keep reading! Merchandise Shop - this requires me to purchase and install a whole new section for FG which i'm hoping you'll all enjoy FG Points/Gamerscore - A way to have a meaningful way that gives everyone here an added bonus for being around FG where possible Creating new sections New entire page spaces for games - we can make as many as we'd like providing we can maintain support New homepage - to remind everyone of everything we do. We aren't just a Forum any more, we are far more awesome than that Expanding existing areas Guides & Tips section - the fairly new section needs some love and there's some amazing people here that do great info tips for you all that can easily get lost Re-engaging with old FGers - life's too short to miss everyone and its great seeing so many faces come back, lets do things to get other ones back too. For me its the case of, Why Not, you have nothing to lose seeing old faces and friends. Open our doors to new FGers - we should make more people aware of what we do best - they can have a home here and we can all help them in whatever problems they have. The PPR section just shows how much we have all done to help each other and long may that continue. Regular gaming nights schedule - to help people to keep themselves free, get involved and most importantly make sure the right game is updated and downloaded! Finding more ways to help others Picking up and driving some real charity fundraisers starting with charity streams Try to get a regular pattern on sending out Feel Good Fund parcels to caring FGers I'd hope you all agree whilst there's more we can always find to do, most importantly this is a ton to look forward to as a group/family. Other posts to follow but if you have any burning thoughts please shout up below - a poll will go alongside this post to ask absolutely anyone here if they want to get involved in any specific stuff in the coming weeks and months. Due to the limited time I have, I’ve only ticked the charity stream. If I just focus on one thing, then I’m more likely going to do it rather than spreading myself thin. How ever I will continue to attempt to make some videos.

I'm down to help out wherever I possibly can Lee if your on today I got something I can possibly talk to you about that you might like or just idea. Also I know the times have been a little crazy and everyone has been going through everything a little differently and I will say this from personal experience I battle with daily anxiety depression and bi polar daily and this virus and isolation doesn't help so if anyone wants to just text talk or just kick back and game let me know because the worst thing is to feel alone in this. You have all been great to me and my misses your all family to me. Even though I have been around for a couple of months your all a great people! Even though some don't play Destiny I like how you guys jump in just to say hello and check up on each other its a great experience and its so greatly appreciated!

I have a limited skillset but I would love to get involved and pitch in where I can. Basically I will try and do anything if someone needs a hand to make this awesome site even better! I ticked merch and other as now the funny business is out the way with my pc I’ll be getting back to the logo’s. I’m not sure what stuff you need for merch but seems more my expertise than the rest. We’ve also spoken about the guides before but I think now is a good time to actually pull my finger out and do them. Current plans are to do the Minecraft ones properly and not just buried in a random thread. Though I’ve got some stuff to add to them and to learn myself how some mods work. I’ve also though about doing a racing one, I’m far from the fastest drivers around but I’ve been doing it a long time and can share my knowledge.

@Greboth the packet loss was real. The only thing second to that was map size! 🤣

Honestly mate, it was way better than I expected because lately the newest games seem to not really support our bug FG Friday nights but it was such a good laugh. One in the Chamber is sooooooo good. So intense and funny at the same time, good change up and we needed another mode alongside Gun Game. I actually felt that the team games worked well too. Probably need to look at the settings and maybe set some specific games up so we can play that again. And shipment was just as insane as it usually is when we've played it on other CoDs 😂 Nice one Matt, the fact you put effort in beforehand and checked to see how to do the modes and custom matches massively helped - nice to see someone else think of a large MP game for Fridays which I appreciated very muchly 😄❤️

@GazzaGarratt My oldest has been itching for one but we have a Wii U at home that gets a ton of use and there aren’t any switch exclusive games that would make me want to get that system. We’re waiting for the next system to come out. Keeping the SNES mini in the trailer sort of forces them to explore a lot of the older games because it’s the only thing we let them play. Camping is for doing outside stuff but at night or when it’s raining, it’s been a lot of fun watching them explore those older games. Link to the Past, SF2, Super Mario World, Contra, Super Metroid, Earthbound, and F-Zero are the games we play the most. @BO7H B4RRELS you should definitely get one and keep it in the trailer. Gives the kids one extra thing to look forward to when we camp.

@BO7H B4RRELS Haha I forgot that I made this thread I was really hammered lol. Thats cool to hear that you’re in the RV world Tommy. This is a Pioneer DS320 that we bought a little over a year ago and its my first trailer and it has worked out really well for us. TBH I had no idea what I was doing when I bought it which is pretty unusual for me. My buddy had just bought a MPG Ultralite a few months earlier and we hung out with them at their campsite to tailgate for the G-Day game (where UGAs first string plays against second string). Its a big event down here. Anyway after spending the day with them hanging out my wife was sold and convinced me that we needed to get one. I didn’t even own a truck and had zero towing experience so I was really nervous about the whole thing. Went to a dealership near us and bought this a week later, then spent about a month trying to find a truck. Its been fucking awesome though probably the best family decision we’ve ever made. We camp at least once or twice a month. I’m fortunate to have in-laws with a 50 acre farm near us where we keep it setup with power so whenever we want we can drive over and camp for a few days. Its been a life saver with this Covid stuff when all the state parks were shut down. Georgia has a ton of awesome state parks with well maintained campgrounds so that’s where we normally go. Here’s a pic of where we keep it at the in-laws, it’s pretty sweet

Try the Mach Forty in GTS. I only did three laps and already at 1:34.596 It's not easy to drive but it's got a lot of power, can easily take seconds off that I'd say. Tried the Vulcan but its too slow IMO.

I completely missed this thread, I was playing Fifa until around 11 then when I was coming off I think there was only 5 or 6 of you left playing 😞 Hopefully next time I'll be able to jump in again.

What I've learned from a lot of YouTubers is even if you are a millionaire and have a steady income coming in; they will still look for other ways to make even more money even if it's shady, scams their own subscribers or downright illegal. I am staggered at the poor ethics, entitlement and greed in some of these content creators where even earning a guaranteed $500.000 a month at worst isn't enough.

That’s what baffled me the most when we looked around for our camper. They are all so similar and without having any experience with RVs I didn’t even know how to look for the differences. Since then I have spent ungodly amounts of time learning and researching because I want to know everything about everything when it comes to these things. I also grew up camping in tents and then my parents bought a pop-up and we packed in 6 people for years and years. When I went to the dealership to buy one, I really thought I could make due with something small. Stepped into the first one that was maybe 20ft or so, and nope’d out in 5 seconds. Ended up with a 37 footer and then found out later that 37 ft for a TT is crazy long. I didn’t even factor length into the decision, I just liked the space and the price worked so that’s what I bought. Its nuts how much I know now versus when I bought it. Youtube is awesome for learning about stuff.

That's great, man. I've been camping my whole life, albeit in a tent. My wife grew up camping as well, she always went in an RV. So, when we got married, we met in the middle and got a popup. But, after having the 3rd kid, it was just too small. We ended up buying a Coachman Catalina. Looks like a similar layout to yours. Master bedroom up front, second bedroom in the rear w/ bunk beds and a single bed in there. We've got the bonus outdoor kitchen as well. They're great for some family fun. That's cool that you've got a spot at your in-laws. We've got a seasonal place we rent each year on a lake. Camper + Pontoon = Good family fun. 🙂 Have fun and enjoy!

I say why not mate, nothing wrong with sharing your opinion out there. I think the FG Film Club shows that something a little different and fun around all the games we play (and isolation) is good when people interact and mention what they liked/disliked about it - usually watching things years later can give you different perspectives and pick up extra little added bonuses. You doing something similar may help peak interest in other films people may have dismissed in the past. You can always help support me pick some films for future weeks at FG mate. I'd love some support on it.

I always have to watch a film series so I'm going through the marvel MCU set and I'm 17 movies in with 5 to go ending with avengers end game. There is 1 film after end game but as there no connection to end game really might not watch it. My next set is my zombie film collection. I'm help run a movie group on Facebook which I've told them I will do recorded reviews and I'm thinking about uploading them to YouTube which I'm not sure yet what's your opinion on that. My zombie film collection so far. I think there's just over 100.

Thats awesome @McNasty ! You know I don't usually go for mini emulator stuff but I can't deny they look pretty sweet. SF2 Turbo Tournament was my first ever Street Fighter game, i struggle playing the slower original versions after you've played that. I think the Switch super helps when we've gone away on little trips now. I actually take the docking station with us just in case there is a TV that it can be connected to. I think this is hilarious! Dhalsim was super annoying with those long kicks. Just take E-Honda and spam 100 hand slap at them. Then they'll be sorry! You ever thought of a Switch, Bill?
