I'm pretty gutted that I now have 1GB internet installed as of yesterday but the Vodafone router seems to be worse than the Virgin one I had for pushing the distance outwards. I was getting serious lag spikes last night and coupled with the fact that the PS4 gets decent download but my download speed on my PC is 3/4MB when it should be up to 900MB. Some questions I have is: It says i might need an Openreach approved router if I use one but not sure if thats true based on some forums i've seen? What is a good router to use? Do i have to still have the crappy Vodafone box still there? Some talk about i still need a modem? For my PC is it better/cheaper to just buy a WiFi Adapter that can pick up signals further away? A good one seems to be £20. Thanks for any help people! P.S. The new fibre is definitely 900MB, as a quick check through wired and thats what it gives. My phone picks up 250MB next to my PC and PS4 so you can understand my confusion/frustration.

That internet bandwidth is a killer for a lot of folks even before you get to ideal specs unless you have fibre. 20mbs recommended and 50mbs for ideal...lol I fall somewhere inbetween recommended and ideal on hardware but can probably manage the ideal bandwidth as I get 70mbs Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Didn't actually see a topic for this, other then an old one about the old FG server we had so I figured I'd make a more genral one to talk about all things Ark. I recently got the Genesis Season pass and I'm trying to get back into Ark, but daaaamn did they make this new map difficult. Yes sure there's tons of new things and new creatures and I can't wait to jump into it and build, craft and tame everything while exploring, but this map is just brutal. If ayone has ever played the Scorched Earth DLC it feels like that, without the blistering heat. I first tried to get situated in the Volcanic biome, but after dying to t-rexes and basilisks over and over I admitted defeat and opted for the "easy" biome, the bog. "Easy"? Nope! Sarco's, Baryonyx, Raptors, swarms of insects and more. They are everywhere and you can't escape the damn things because as soon as you run past the next bush there's something else trying to kill you 😄 But I love every second of it because it's something new and shiny. I know @Nutcuttlit has also got the new map, but if there's more of you and you wanna tag along let us know, I'd love to get set up on a pvp server with a couple of us to take on everyone else!

You can't go wrong with a Nighthawk R7000. I've had it for about 2 years, came with a wifi extender that I used to plug into my basement and plug my PC into it. Works great.

I used to do this on the PS3. Something that sort of disappeared for me with the PS4 and my return to Steam. The last game I did plat was Spider-Man, this was a very good game to plat. I probably won't be aiming for plats anymore unless the game really takes hold of me. My hardest Plat to date would be Killzone 2 on PS3, that campaign was a nightmare.

It's a semi-serious sandbox with some very enjoyable gameplay and funny moments. I took a put with this game on the 360 and found it to be a real surprise!
