I read about him yesterday, what an absolute legend! Such a lovely man! The amount he’s raised is eye watering. Good on him and good on all who donated.

As many of us now find ourselves confined to our homes during this pandemic, I can't help but wonder how are you keeping yourselves entertained? I didn't think this would hit me as hard as it has as I'm somewhat of an introvert, but it's gotten to the point where I'm so fucking bored that I keep checking the playstation store several times a day for something new to waste time on, or I check Netflix 2-3 times a day only to give up every time as any show and movie on there that interests me, I've already seen... I bought Need for speed Heat a little over a week ago thinking "Oh, this will keep me entertained for a while". I already completed the damn story after 5 days (while also playing 2-3 other games during those 5 days) and I'm now just doing the same races over and over with a massively overtuned car to get money to buy more massively overtuned cars. But yeah, I'm bored as hell and it's gotten to the point where at 9 o'clock in the evening I'm considering just going to bed as I've got fuck all to do 😄 Any recommendations for games, shows, movies or even books to help me kill time would be greatly appreciated!

It's a shame that a 99 year old army vetran has to do this so our NHS can get a bit of money. Can we get this man a knighthood or honoured? Him and every nurse, doctor, everyone who's put themselves on the front line to help others

So, much better than I expected. Much, much better. I've only played an hour and a half so take that with a pinch of salt. Combat and movement is fluid and enemies seem less bullet spongy than usual Fallout games. I'm going for a melee build too, which I've never done before in Fallout and I quite like it. The voice acting is well done. That's all I can say for now. I hope theyve now laid a better foundation to build on but I'm sure they'll find a way to fuck it up. It is weird though playing Fallout looking over your shoulder all the time for other human players. Too much DayZ means I'm always expecting some fucker to snipe me. Sadly I only have an old 3DS. Never got around to upgrading to the Switch. I've seen some gameplay of Anno before, but not sure if it is on the Ps4, I'll have to look into that. As for books I usually enjoy fantasy stuff. Mostly set in medieval times but I do read other things as well, I've got quite a few of Joe Abercrombies books, the whole Hungergames series, some of the GoT books, all the Harry Potter books and I've also read The Godfather. I don't buy books very often as I kinda stuggle to find ones I actually enjoy and the ones I have I've probably read all the way through 10+ times each by now 😄 Might give that Netflix show a try, but never been a fan of horror having a violently vivid imagination and living pretty isolated in the middle of the woods kind of curbs your enthusiasm for that kinda stuff 😅

Great thread sebba! I’ve only played about 4 games on WarZone and have no idea about layouts or anything. This was very useful for some that knows nothing haha Will have to play more games and write something up myself, I just never know what gun I’m using haha

If you’ve got Amazon prime, watch the first 3 seasons of Lucifer, then I think the next season is on Netflix. I started watching it about two weeks ago and got fully hooked on it. Also watch Good Omens, it’s based on a Terry Pratchett book, there’s only 1 season but that’s a great watch too. Both are about heaven and hell, both things I don’t believe in but still really enjoyed them. Have you tried baking, it won’t take up a massive amount of time but will break up your screen time.

At these times it's nice to have a regular MMORPG type of game that you have regular activity to log in and help you progress different stats. Things like Warframe, Destiny 2, WoW, Division 2, etc. The first 2 are free so I dont think theres any harm in trying them. You also have MOBAs out there. Again Smite is free and worth a stab. I know you like Survival games so maybe getting more into The Hunt too? TV and Films wise I've just got Disney Plus so rewatching the MCU films in order. Outside of that we've moved to Sports documentaries and series which helps us remember what Sport was like one day - things like Subderland til I Die and Man City series on Amazon. And let's not forget, theres always good old FG to get involved and help out where you can with new threads, quizzes and ideas like you have been recently ❤️

There are good Bond films and not so good Bond films and occasionally a dog (looking at you QoS) but, for me, they’re like an old mate....enjoy their company, cut them some slack and chill with them

I use Summoner or Gnawing Hunger in PvE and PvP. With the buff to 600’s they’re both pretty beastly.

If you have a Switch, I just picked up Diablo 3 on sale for it. That will kill a lot of time. Maybe a strategy or builder type game. Is Skylines or Anno on PS4? What genre of books do you like? Hi All, I think I missed my yearly post in 2019, so here's for 2020... For those that don't know me I'm Jordie, I've been making sporadic appearances in this community since '09. I haven't been involved in gaming at all in the last couple of years, but figured with The Rona going on, it's the perfect time to catch up with some old friends and play some games! I played a huge total of 5 hours on Modern Warfare when it came out this year, but have just picked it back up. Safe to say I'll have my training wheels on for a little while. Also just picked up GTA again, so will be able to jump on that. How's everyone keeping?

It was at one point. I remember claiming the game, I just never actually got around to downloading or playing it. I ended up getting it on PC as well as part of a Humble Bundle monthly. Do Not Feed The Monkeys is a hella fun! It's difficult to earn money or know what to do sometimes but the game is addictive watching everybody's lives through web-cams and the various events you have to do research on. Also finished The Tiny Bang Story, which is a very charming game. It's graphically nice and the music is very relaxing. This game isn't too long but with a few little niggles. Puzzles in general are fairly easy to figure out, some of the jigsaw puzzle pieces you need to find are well hidden. One or two puzzles can be a little difficult and one in particular can be frustrating due to the way the mouse interacts with the puzzle. During the jigsaw sections, it lacks the music being played on a loop, so when it ends it's just silent until you finish that section. Pretty good overall though.
