Rare time that I agree with Phil on politics..they are all a disgrace this time around (but when has that ever changed?) As far as I see it: Tories are sheer incompetence and a lingering out of touch elitism that they have done nothing to bring their party into 2019. They are also conservative in name only. Labour have utterly abandoned the working class with their pandering to perpetually offended middle class Londoners and fanciful spending plans to usher in the Utopia. Lib dems...lol....I mean they have already had to resort to lying in their election pamphlets and are an irrlevancy. Greens, the watermelon party..green on the outside and Red under the surface. UKIP are pretty much done seeing as they were all about Farage. I am highly sceptical of the EU in general these days but I am even more so as to what the actual plans of Farage would be for the UK. He's great, love his vids. I've done a fucktonne of research on this game. At first I thought everyone was joking about the whole walking simulator thing, suffice to say I was more than miffed when I found out it's just that: a walking simulator. I love weird shit in games, but this game just combines too much weird shit. The babies in the bottle thingies, the weird ghost things, the underworld thing, the timefall, these on their own in various games would be great elements, but combined in this game they just don't gel well, and in fact are so disjointed that it feels forced. It's like Kojima just kept having all these ideas over the years and wrote them down, the instead of creating a good game around each concept, he just shoved them all in one game and it just falls flat, all of it. It's a shame because these elements have some serious potential. Just think of the whole Timefall thing in a game like Horizon Zero Dawn. That mechanic would've fitted that whole universe like a glove, but here it's just.... shit. At every point in my research I've been waiting for that POW! moment. That moment when the game just explodes in to this awesome twisted story full of amazing creatures, fights, adventures, and yet it never comes. It's just walking over and over. I also heard one reviewer saying that they were delivering pizzas, I legit thought they were taking the piss until I saw a clip of the game where Sam was literally delivering pizzas. Again, another aspect which is great is the whole multiplayer thing where you never actually see other players but their actions influence your world. This is such a good concept and in a different universe could elevate a game to legendary status but here it just feels like a shit, forced mechanic for the sake of it. It's like Kojima designed this beautiful world and then didn't know what to do with it, so grabbed his notebook full of ideas, and shoved them all in that world, all at once, and then designed the quickest game he could around it, just to showcase what he's done, rather than really exploit it properly. And if we're being totally honest here, let's cut to the chase: This game is being held up by the Kojima name. Imagine if Bethesda released this, it'd be in the bargain bin on release day. The sales of this game are literally being fed by hype and reputation. It's a house of cards, the reputation will only hold it up for so long, eventually the fanboys will move on to the next big thing and this title will crash like a house of cards. 10/10, awesome game.

TL; DW It doesn't affect connection. But it's based on your last 5 games KDR. Do well for a few games and you'll be put into lobbies with higher skilled players. So, basically, it's bullshit. How can you get better at the game when you only have to do well in a few matches before the game puts you against better players. They need to add ranked and remove SBMM from public matches. It should only be in pubs for the REALLY bad, or maybe disabled/handicapped, players so they don't get wrecked every match. All players from average to very good should be in the same player pool. These TV debates are also completely ridiculous and we should not be mirroring the US. I'd rather see the party leaders and senior figures be interviewed, uninterrupted for a solid 2-3h to really unpack what their views are. After about 10 minutes it should become clear whether an MP has a clue what they are talking about or whether they are going to try and repeat their talking points ad nauseam. Is it me or are the SNP the ugliest, most miserable and toxic bunch of clowns imaginable? Cancer could be cured yet Sturgeon would be enraged! The Lib Dems call themselves democratic yet their main policy is to ignore 17m people right off the bat and overturn something they ALL agreed to honoring. They only became relevant again as a protest vote against Corbyn. Labour is in cookoo land under Corbyn. He's a fence sitter and only tells people what they want to hear and what people in his party tell him to do. He hates the EU, he hates the military, he hates Israel and jews yet he is quite compassionate to terrorists. His plans will nuke the economy, alienate investors, dismantle the country and then the people will have to pay for it on more than one level. He will never disclose his true Brexit position and him in any form of power would be damaging for decades to come. Diane Abbott as home secretary? LMAO! Tories are a total mess and cannot be trusted. Their plans are very limited and only paper over a fraction of cracks. Normal people will continue to see local services strained and the cost of living skyrocket. So many shady fucks in the party too. The Brexit Party probably wont have much of an impact and their position is far too weak and although I don't agree with a lot of their sentiments, It's nice to see them fucking up those ignorant EU bureaucrats in Brussels. Bottom line, the UK is pretty fucked either way.

Pretty much my feelings Dave. I love Kojima's previous work - his vision, imagination and writing is quite astonishing but in this one, it feels like he's tried too hard in many aspects and has fallen short in all of them. I've never been on the fence so much with a game but it really has hit me that being on it this much is a bad sign not to get the game after all. I think the game is just too long for me regardless - 60 hours at 2 hours a day for a whole month basically. I usually get burned out in half the time and bear in mind, Death Stranding isn't exactly a hugely varied experience. Transversing the environment is the heart of the experience yet the movement mechanics and physics are very wonky and inconsistent it seems - I have seen someone somersault down a cliff and land on their back alive with no damage to the cargo yet others have tripped on a blade of grass on a flat surface and had to restart the mission because they died. The combat and bosses look really half-arsed filler plus the repetitive cutscenes must really irritate even if they can be skipped. The fact Monster Engergy is also a prominent feature of the game rather than just a one-off promotional placement makes it look extremely tacky and borderline laughable. Kojima also started lashing out at reviewers saying people don't understand his game and American's only get FPS shooters. I thought this was a pretty dreadful comment as his previous work was extremely successful in the states and surely he must have known that even with his reputation, not everyone was going to warm to Death Stranding as a concept. Despite 3 years of mystery, the game isn't all that complex to understand after all and you have to wonder if a lot of it was kept under wraps to mask what the game was in the first place. This game is nowhere as good as he thinks it is and it comes across as quite pretentious. Looks like Konami were right to pull the plug on him all along. Who would have thought! Kojima should probably consider movies because I think he's missed the mark here trying to create a game - it's like he's made an experience for himself whilst forgetting what others would truly enjoy. Anyhow, I bought Disco Elysium the other day and it's one of the best RPG's I have ever played and probably the greatest true RPG out there. This 'strand' genre is just a load of bollocks.

I mean it at least has a huge amount of bug fixes and changes. I'm assuming the next update will be the big one for sure or 1.1. I'd rather them get all of this fixed and a smoother game vs them making more balance changes to a broken game. I was completing one of the missions and it said to get 5 wins in any game mode, but yet it wasn't keeping track. I submitted a bug report and it was actually supposed to be get 5 wins in search. To me that isn't okay, things like that I'd prefer be addressed first.

just finished a game of TDM where I got 13 assists 13 assists... 13 FUCKING ASSISTS IN A GAME WHERE YOUR LIFE IS MEASURED IN FUCKING MICROSECONDS. I’m fucking sick of having to sweat every single fucking game just to vaguely go positive. This isn’t fun. This isn’t what made COD great. Everybody had to take the lows with the highs when they were new. Everybody earnt their bumps when they had to learn. Nobody held my hand when I got online. I had to learn and practice to get better. Now every cunt can have a million fucking places to hide surrounded by claymores, clutching their shottie like it’s going to give them the love their parents never gave them. Just because IW feel new players need a “safe space” in order to keep them in the game It’s pathetic

Its that time again everybody. The time where we do our best to raise as much as we can so we can give out some awesome goodies to the people of FG. I actually think we won't raise as much this year, as I know everyone has been far too kind and generous with other things we've done so there won't be any pressure to give, like always. Obviously, it may be a smaller pool of items we can do but as I've kept up with most people's lives this year I don't think that's a bad thing sometimes. I'd like to do something slightly different this year which is we will gift out games such as CoD MW, Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, Sea of Thieves and many other things to people we can see that would benefit. Alongside that if we actually get enough, we'll do a few vouchers too that will be raffled out so you can buy whatever you like if you get lucky. I'm going to put this out there for a few weeks and hopefully by the first week in December we can start working out what things we're able to give you lovely people.
