Fresh start: WoW Classic 2.0
GazzaGarratt and one other reacted to Diddums for a topic
I had a massive rant typed out to explain what kind of cretins we're dealing with on our server but it's not worth it, so here's what we're gonna do anyway. We're leaving Flamelash because cunts. That's the TL;DR of it. So we need to pick a server, which gives us a few options, the only requirements are PVE, and high pop. Nonnadis low pop bollocks, no more PVP, and certainly no RP, because we all have lives and women and don't need to get our kicks off to fantasies of banging night elves in sheds. @Middle Class Caveman will likely pick one, please post it here when you do. The next choice is Alliance or Horde. As most of us are fed up with Alliance at the moment we're leaning towards Horde. This is still flexible obviously, so chime in. Once we've made that decision, it's class selection time. Personally I'm going priest again, because priests are amazing and piss easy to level and everyone always needs healers. Will likely do a warrior alt because tanks are always in demand. @Middle Class Caveman has mentioned a rogue, druid or huntard, he'll hafta see. @Misneach_ whatcha gonna be? @J&B? For @GazzaGarratt I'd say either a warlock or mage. Leigh played a Paladin up to level 14 so it's no fucking wonder he's not sucked in to the game, paladins suck balls. Maybe a rogue actually, Leigh loves burst damage and rogues are one of the highest bursts in the game. @tronic44 has even downloaded the game, for him I'd definitely say mage or warlock. Mages can make food, water and teleports, warlocks can summon and have pets. I'll link some videos below to help you guys with your decision. @crispymorgan needs to just succumb and get on with it goddammit. The final question is guild, having run our very own FG guild for the last couple of months I can honestly say I'm just fed up with it, I don't have the time to do the recruiting and whatnot, when I log on I just want to play, not fuck about managing shit. I'll happily start another guild but I expect others to help run it and recruit too, not leave it all to me. I've also had many, many people ask me if I want to join their guilds after healing them because I'm just an epic healer (no jokes, I actually really am an amazeballs healer, think Mercy and multiply that by 10), and having played the game for well over a decade now, and known you lot for just as long if not longer, I can honestly say that you guys would be superb in whatever role you decide to play because you're considerably smarter than the average gamer who, let's be honest, would probably lose a game of chess to a retarded tadpole. Here are some vids for inspiration and to help you pick your class: Wille's "Was it any good though" series (very good, very informative). Once you've picked a class, Wille's "Playing to your class' strengths" series is also very good. Madseason is one of the best Youtubers for WoW content. He sounds like he's about to slit his wrists but he's actually very informative and often entertaining. This video is a great resource to have on whilst cleaning / ironing / wanking / whatever: That's all for now, get your shit together you noobs.2 points -
A fresh spawn's guide to DayZ | PS4
BO7H B4RRELS and one other reacted to ChaosGladiator for a topic
Alright, as this was requested, here goes. I want to be very clear that this is just what I do when I spawn in with nothing and other may do things differently or have additional tips. Alrighty then, as a fresh spawn in the land of Chernarus there's 2 things you want to find as quickly as possible. The number one thing is something to drink as you spawn with your thirst level at about half. So check every house you come across and any zombie you end up punching to death. The second thing you want to find is a melee weapon. It'll make it easier to kill zombies and should you run into a hostile player it might save your life. Bladed weapons seems like the better choice for zombies, doesn't matter if it's a Machete or a steak knife, they both do the same job. Knives also open canned food and gives you the most out of those cans besides actual can openers. (Any tool besides the can opener that you use will cause you to lose a bit of food.) Once you have those two things down. Start trying to get a backpack. Being able to carry supplies is important if you want to get away from the coast and backpacks are your best friends! The bigger they are the more shit you can carry, but that also cuts your stamina once you carry a lot of heavy stuff and you wont be able to sprint for as long. Once you have a backpack, start looking for food and medical items. Most of the medical items aren't much use if you are on your own, but Chlorine tablets and Tetracycline pills will save your ass as you can either purify even the filthiest ditch water with chlorine or cure the impending cholera you get for drinking said ditch water without purifying it by popping a Tetracycline pill. Once you've loaded up it's a good idea to start moving inland, I'd suggest having a map open on your phone or laptop next to you so you can navigate easier, look for signs just outside cities/towns and check the map on phone/computer to figure out where you are and where to go. There's always better gear inland than on the coast. I'd also suggest not sprinting, just jog around unless you HAVE to sprint to get away from a player, you can't sprint for an unlimited amount of time so be careful with it, it also burns drink and food levels much faster so again, don't do it unless you have to or you have plenty of supplies to get food and drink levels back up. Once you get inland I'd suggest going to places that have either hunting cabins or military areas or both. This is the best way to get geared up with weapons to defend against other players, clothing with more storage space, ammo, night vision goggles and more. These are usually high risk areas, but if you go about it with some care you should be good. Don't go to these places at night without Night vision goggles (NVG's) as there are a lot of zombies around and if there are other people around with NVG's... Well you're fucked. Do not forget to check your indicators at the bottom right of your screen, always keep an eye on your food and drink levels, as well as anything that indicates an injury or illness will pop up there. Quick stop in terms of clothing items again, your shoes/boots will get worn down over time, make sure you check them regularly or keep an extra pair on you as once they get to their "ruined" state, you may suddenly start bleeding on your feet, same goes for running/walking without shoes/boots. Also try to avoid sliding down ladders without gloves, you might also cut your hands and start bleeding. Also, if caught in the rain, you may get a water symbol in the bottom right, if you do, get to shelter. Once in shelter take your jacket into your hands and wring it out, same with your pants. This will stop you from getting a cold and possibly dying. I'd also suggest playing this with a group. There's a fuckton of running in this game and it's not so bad if you have people to talk with/run with while doing so. It's also nice as you don't need to carry ALL the things, you can easily split it up between the group and share it as needed. Finally, do not trust anyone. If you see a player always asume they will kill you for your shit. Not everyone will, but the majority will even if you have nothing as they are just cunts. So if you see another player, either avoid them, shoot them first or prepare to get in a fight. Hopefully this will get you to survive the intial 30 mins of DayZ and even more, if anyone else has tips, feel free to pitch in!2 points -
Death Stranding

That’s the thing, I don’t want to watch anyone play it. I just need to take a chance and get it, I think I’ll enjoy it but it’s all down to the story. This might be a second hand buy again.2 points -

Like James says, it appears to be a bit marmite. That doesn't make it a bad game. I've been checking out people playing it live and I've got a better perspective. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk2 points -
ELLIOTT’S RULES ABOUT MONEY
GazzaGarratt and one other reacted to Middle Class Caveman for a topic
That’s a great question Dave, I actually HAD a very promising pension through school, I paid in 11% of my salary each year and the government matched it etc. However, as with all things money it has since been changed and is now worth sod all. Lots of wasted money. I pulled out of that pension after 5 years and saved the 11% instead to buy a second house. The state pension is going to be a joke when I get to 70. As for private pensions - most pension companies are doing what I’m doing with the money people pay in, they are using it to buy land, property, stocks, shares, commodities etc. So, being the control freak I am, I would rather do all that myself and reap the full rewards. I think for the novice investor a private pension is a fantastic idea and everyone should consider one. However, my retirement fund is currently made up of houses and a stock portfolio getting a modest 9% return at the moment - no private pension can match that unfortunately. It’s such a shame because pensions used to be so valuable, my wife’s Nan is getting her husbands pension from the Docks and she gets LOADS of money each month. Alas, they aren’t like that much anymore. One thing I will say though for the young people in the forum, do not expect the government to look after you when you’re retired - you aren’t entitled to anything just because you lived in a country your whole life, make your own arrangements!2 points -
WWYD FG - CoD MW Menus and UI
J4MES OX4D reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
What Would You Do (WWYD) FG? Menus and UI in CoD has literally been non-existent in forever and they've pulled the cardboard out of the cupboard this time round and exceeded to hit that mark once again. I'd love to know what would you change to make it better? I think the game kinda deserves it tbh. The challenge system for me is just so bare that it needs an overhaul although you can see the potential with it. I didnt even realise that a mission once completed just sits there and theres no filter I can see to move it out. If they sorted challenges, then I think they'd be hitting a huge market that love completing objectives. Other than that, it's not clear how the Quickplay filters work, nor it is clear about Hardcore. I played my first HC games last night because it was one of the lads that found you need to press Square on the filtered options. One thing that is great is the attachment system and how you can view and edit pretty easily. They need to keep that part for sure. Anything else everyone?1 point -
WWYD FG - CoD MW Menus and UI
GazzaGarratt reacted to IRaMPaGe for a topic
Yeah it's horrible, the challenges did I do one? Did it even count? Also as James stated, would be nice to know how you unlocked calling cards/emblems without random guesses. The menu's/UI are ugly and distracting, so many pages of useless shit. Now I've passed level 55, I've to check the rank progression screen for more challenges. I said it already, no prestiges/calling cards/challenges to grind. I hit a quad feed earlier but of course the selected challenge is like the last one out of 12 I haven't even started. Hit a super kill last night with a VTOL Jet. If that was any other cod that's guarrented a cool calling card surely? Tried to do the perk set of challenges the last few days. Had 49/60 on the scavenger and it was wiped to zero. Tried warrior code last night but got reset twice. Since the patch earlier, warrior code is now letting me go onto the 2nd challenge, finally! It better be fixed somewhat now, it's giving me hope!1 point -
Tommy! Get me added bud it's literally been years. The "good old days" here is a flashback!1 point

I do not mind on the server or faction. Pve would probably be better for me as it’s a bit more casual friendly. As for class I’ll have a think and update you or wait to see what others pick to fill a role.1 point

Released Thursday 14th November. Looks like they've done an amazing job on this remaster plus all previous DLC and new content is included. 25% off if you own the newly named 2013 edition also. Definitely one of my favourite strategy games of all time!1 point -

That's COD for ya. Just like previous CODs, Core is unplayable for me. I just play HC and find it to be much better. Played quite a few HC games with @Plumbers Crack @LordBaguette @Mazzer66 and a few others and I really enjoyed myself. Apart from that one match on Azhir Cave which was awful.1 point -
