We've had a few sneaky little buggers in here lately, one only sneaking his link to a direct competitor to FG (well, we all know there's no competition to FG but we'll just call it that) a week after signing up. We, the most amazing community in the world, need to up our game to prevent being used as a billboard for pussy ass links. A quick guide: Look at bios. Link? Report it. Look at avatars. Logo? Report it. Look at account background. Logo? Report it. Look at signature. Link? Report it. Anyone who reports a bad guy will get an internet cookie from none other than the Diddmeister himself. You heard it here folks.

The market in the US for help desk/deskside support is pretty competitive. There are a lot of people who want the jobs and most companies only hire people with experience because they can easily be picky about it. I'm not familiar with your apprenticeship program but I'd agree, that sounds like it's worth biting the bullet until you get enough experience to go elsewhere. IT is a tough field to get into without experience. I got lucky and started with a Systems Integrator/Reseller many years ago that took a chance on hiring people right out of college who didn't know anything about IT and gave them a phone, a desk, and asked us to start selling. Most of us figured it out because we were surrounded by really strong engineers. I actually quit another job I had to take this one. My paycheck was cut in half, literally. Took about a year and a half until I got back to where I was before, but it ramped up significantly after that. Been at it near 12 years now.

Apprenticeships are one of the best things this country has. I wish I had done one instead of trying to go to Uni. This may be the best angle because youbget to learn on specific IT skills, gain work experience on the way AND get paid. Everyone has to start somewhere. If you show willing and have a can do attitude then you'll move up the ladder in role and pay soon enough mate 👍

Cheers mate. I've asked for feedback on a couple of interviews where I haven't been successful but heard nothing back. My mate works for the NHS Trust IT Help Desk and there may be an apprenticeship coming up there. Just means shite money for a year, but after that it'll be good. Sadly yes, it's true, PC won't start, not even enough to access bios. Well, it starts, thinks for a second, stops, starts again, rinse and repeat. Hopefully it's just a dying PSU, and I've got an EVGA Supernova G3 80 Gold arriving tomorrow. 750 watts. Really hope it's the PSU and nothing else but the CPU is just as old and so is the RAM...

99.99999999 it's the PSU. in the mean time, try booting off one ram stick. Ram sticks don't fail in pairs so try boot on one, if fails, try next one. Also. When your PC boots it will beep. Listen to the beeps, they are a code and will tell you what the problem is if the mobo isn't fucked. What motherboard you got?

Dude. Enough already. I know, you want that original feeling back from when you joined FG and we were all on Destiny. I know. I get it. It was also a very fond era of gaming history for me too but you need to remember it was many, many years ago now. People have had kids, people have lost loved ones, people have changed careers, and you need to adapt, not constantly try get everyone on the same game all the time because it's not going to work and you're just frustrating yourself. These things come and go. I've had these times in WoW, MW2, Black Ops 2, Destiny, and now I'm chilling, waiting for the next big one. You can't force this, it has to come naturally. Let it go. Those glory days will return, I promise, but you need to let it come on its own, not constantly look for it and try force others to join you. It ain't gonna happen. As for Anthem, Angry Joe's latest vid highlights for me what a crock of shit it is, and AJ is the Youtuber I resonate most with. The game, as it stands now, is a definite no for me. I am impatient enough as it is and this would drive me up the wall. If they fix it I might have another look, but this will never be a £60 game for me.

Ah man, that sucks. Keep your head up as that saying is common and they shouldn't have led you on like that. Make sure you ask for full feedback and some key tangible actions on what to do if you ever went for that position again. Even if you don't, it shows you are trying to put yourself in a better position. Keep going buddy. There'll be something out there.

Anyone get this in the end? Reviews were pretty decent although none seem to think it was a groundbreaking game. May pick it up for PS4 sometime soon and then grab it on Steam next year if it launches on there really cheap.
