My biggest complaint is the spawns are fucking horrible. Like I’ve actually never seen them this bad. What’s the point of a beta? Another minor complaint is that SMGs are rather weak. If you run into someone with body armor you was as well kiss your ass good bye. You aren’t winking that fight

I really like it so far. My only concern is like James said are the maps are all pretty small. Seems like arcady to me and there's no choice but to just run around and get involved in the mayhem. Eg Mw2 and BO you could rush, snipe, play tactical etc, as there was places you could setup with claymores, or flank, or long line of sight to snipe, but on this cod it's pretty much run around mayhem, like a halo type I'm still enjoying playing it, played about 2 hours yesterday and rank 15 but I won't be able to jump on properly for another session till mid week. Usually id be pissed as with other cods I'd like to rank up quick as possible at the start, but although it's day one, I don't have that urge to jump on and play it for hours at a time Sent from my Samsung S9+ using Tapatalk

Do you have to deal a certain amount of damage to claim the kill even if you don't land the final bullet(s) ? I was going 0-6 yesterday and ready to rage quit only to check the scoreboard and see myself top with 12 'kills'. I'm guessing you get rewarded if you shoot someone and they die prior to replenishing their health whether you landed the final hit or it was someone else. Seems like it's a combination of kills and assists. I also assume that if they regain their health, if someone else kills them entirely, that means you don't receive anything. If this is the case then it's a pretty good system especially with health regen and amount of bullets required where you may do 75% of the damage but someone else finishes the job.

Wassup y'all? I realised its time for my yearly appearance on the forum to say hi! For those that don't know me, my name is Jordie, I'm 23 from the UK. I joined this forum back in 2013, though have been involved in this wonderful community since 2009. I haven't been gaming much (at all) over the last few years, nor participating on the forum, instead taking some time to focus on the real world. Regardless, it's always nice to come back seeing familiar names. I don't want to make any promises that I'll be a super active member, nor that I'll be online too often, but with Fallout and Red Dead 2 coming out, I'm more likely now than ever 😂. How did this oversight slip through the net!!? Basically you can perform an emote which reverts the character into 3rd person which can give you a huge tactical advantage at any time. This is a bit of a calamity from Treyarch but it has been acknowledged to be patched at least. Not sure how they missed this but it's a pretty embarrassing mistake despite their alleged rigorous testing.

I quite liked Jungle in BO and was happy to see it return in BO4 but it has this weird brown/red/rusty aesthetic like Redwood from BO3 and I don't really like that plus it makes it trickier to spot players in certain places. I would've preferred the old style.

I'm 535 myself (525 on my Warlock) and know what you mean. Though Iron Banner is a nightmare anyways, along with crucible. And don't get me started on Edge Transits! But I still enjoy doing most of the weeklies, apart for some repetative story missions. But how people are up to 570 and up is beyond me, other than playing a shitload.

Can't believe Dave will finally be a part of GTA Fridays!! Also, last night's money was pretty good because it was double $ this weekend on Sumo. Didn't realise this at all! Thanks for everyone coming last night, 13 in all - I think it was such good fun trying to smash people up out of the tiniest circle. So many zoomed off the track trying to hit each other 😂 We'll try to keep it varied like last night going forward. I got to level 19 at the end of day one and my experience did improve over the course of the day but I still have mixed feelings about the overall game. Getting started was quite tough especially against higher ranked players but now I've unlocked a couple of decent AR's and SMG's plus some attachments and perks; I feel I can compete better. Leveling seems very slow so you just have to weather early pressure to unlock the create a class and then some decent guns. Matches all kinda play out the same though - fast paced, erratic and pure carnage. For a game with such tactical elements; all of those really go out of the window particularly with randoms in the core playlists. I do miss the variety that Dan mentioned above with different styles of play on each map on the old games but the best way to keep things fresh here is to alternate the specialists and just have fun with those.

As we're all gradually getting close to around 570 or more, the high endgame activities are are on the radar. I know some people have started asking me about it - new and regular people, so I'm more than happy to try and get some times up on the Calendar. What i'd say is just like what we did over the past few months and have a little patience. We all want to do the new Raid, Shattered Throne, Prestige Nightfalls, etc and i'm sure people will be happy to help each other just don't be disheartened if it doesn't happen yesterday. I've got past Morgeth with 5 others here so I would imagine we'd be trying out the first 2 parts to start with. Next week is Iron Banner and is a perfect opportunity to get 7 Powerful engrams if we party up as much as we can, plus work on the 2 Crucible quests.

Joked to the wife via email at work that whilst she's out at the shops later she could easily pop and get Black Ops on the way. She even said it was a shit joke on the phone when I spoke to her later in the day. Anyways, she's a legend. Second time she's ever done this.

I only managed to get on for half an hour last night but I enjoyed what I found. It was pretty smooth and I like the maps. I seem to be in the mood to play COD again. TTK may be an issue but I'll hold back on that until I get some proper time in. Looking forward to figuring out the zombie mode.

Well I think you know why the second option has a vote so far I did write about this when we had a blog as its something i'm quite passionate about. I think it boils down to the facts of practicalities so I do understand why people go for Digital and also why the only reason most of you still buy Physical because of 1) Price and 2) resaleability. I think I just have some hereditary traits in me, like hoarding/collecting things and some principles that stick with me. I love the aesthetics of buying physical games although now they don't even give manuals for most games which is disappointing. For some reason my brain doesn't feel attached to Digital games as much as they don't feel 'real' - its probably why I am more inclined to play console over PC maybe. Maybe not relevant for newer games but for older games I think the argument is there more in my favour. They came fully complete with no Day One patch and they hands down beat emulators for feel and aesthetics, with original graphics and controllers. Nothing beats blowing the cartridge, sticking Wiz n Liz in and playing some levels like the old days with your mates.
