Last night's game was a about looking at the peripheral squad players. None really staked a valid claim. Danny Rose was on course for a first team spot until he got himself embarrassed. Commentators are drivng me nuts, it's either spunking off cos we're great or shedding blood cos we're shit. Cobblers. If you're interested in D&D at all 5th edition is probably the best to look at if you're worried about being bogged down by rules. It was designed to be pretty streamlined and user friendly. I've started listening to a D&D podcast that started in 4th edition (they're now playing 5th) and after only one episode I can't imagine playing that version with my current group (we're pretty awful).

Yeah, the Crimson is a red herring. Its a 3-burst HC so it feels like a high fire rate Pulse Rifle that you really don't need to reload much. Beastly. What's great about Exotics now is the Masterworks. As soon as you drop one it makes you feel like you need to use it in order to get the extra stat boosts. Through that you'll start to learn which ones are more suited to your playstyle.

Anyone happen to know where I can get a PDF of the rule book? Starting up a proper group to play this from 12 July in a Hackney gaming bar... and my old basic D&D doesn't cut the mustard.

I agree it was a close match and given it was two second teams it’s probably irrelevant anyway. It was just funny the way Martinez has made it clear all week he was playing for second and yet they still beat us . Finishing second is a blessing , even if Columbia beat us, as it’s still the easier side of the draw, so a good place to be. I’m still hopeful we can go far in this. Truth is nobody is really looking that good, at least yet, so our first team would have a chance against any of them. We’ve played well going forward, better than most, although defensively i cringe every time we play about with it too deep. I think that will eventually prove costly.
