Forever Gaming's 'Feel Good' Fund
Johnsontvc reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
After speaking to a few people here and recently buying GTA for Hamza @SyntaxMonstr, I think it's time to share and give a go to what I'd like to be called FG's Feel Good Fund after @crispymorgan great shout for a name (FGFGF. Snappy right? ). Objective is simple - To help out as many FGers as we can to make them 'Feel Good'. Surprises either go to people in need or someone we want to say thankyou or so we say 'Feel Good'. This is what we are the BEST at. This is why FG continues because its more than just a forum. Everyone member here knows that and we should continue doing this as much as we can. The part where its over to all of us is donations. I can ask at ad-hoc times in need or you can give regularly. Not everyone can give regularly or at all but if you can it would be amazing even if you give a few pounds or dollars. I would love to at some stage extend this to the running of FG however this is different. I will ask for help when the time is right separately as I want you to feel this is 100% Feel Good Money. I want to know your geniune honest thoughts on this. Good, bad or indifferent - I need to know. A couple of rules I will set out to start with. 1) If you want to give regularly, let me know and PM me. It is better to direct into account rather than paypal as we always lose a slight percentage for each donation. 2) no gift is too small. Even if you gave ยฃ1 or ยฃ2 I'm grateful. If we all did that each month we could give a game away each month. 3) If you donate and you want it towards someone or something specifically, please PM me. I don't want to 100% guarantee that it goes directly or not directly to someone, however your best intentions ALWAYS come first and I will communicate If its against your wishes. 4) If you have a suggestion for A Feel Good surprise please PM me. I will consult with other moderators to gain a consensus but ultimately I'll hold the final say. If you don't like this, speak up. If this picks up, I'll update it to a vote of trusted people. I think that's it. Please don't just dismiss this. We've got a good thing going here and I want to keep it going for as long as we can. This is for ALL of FG. Much Love Lee P.S. Donations ad-hoc you can use the donate button or alternatively PM me if you don't want it read on here. Thanks all. X P.P.S. And btw, I know pretty much everyone's scenarios and troubles of late. We are pretty dysfunctional but for all of the imperfections, we are truly a unique and special family that should be allowed to Feel Good - and welcoming to new FG people always.1 point -

Wengerโs gone! Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, ending a near 22-year reign as manager. The Frenchman departs a year before his latest contract was due to expire. The Gunners are sixth in the league and set to miss out on a top-four spot for the second straight season, with their hopes of reaching the Champions League resting on winning the Europa League. Wenger, 68, won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, including the Double in 1998 and 2002. "I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years," said Wenger. "I managed the club with full commitment and integrity. "To all the Arsenal lovers, take care of the values of the club." Arsenal say a successor will be appointed "as soon as possible". Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke described Friday's announcement as "one of the most difficult days we have ever had in all our years in sport". He added: "One of the main reasons we got involved with Arsenal was because of what Arsene has brought to the club on and off the pitch. "His longevity and consistency over such a sustained period at the highest level of the game will never be matched." The American praised Wenger's "exceptional record", adding that he "transformed the identity of our club and of English football with his vision for how the game can be played". Appointed on 1 October 1996, he is the Premier League's current longest-serving manager and has taken charge of a record 823 games. But some fans have turned on the Frenchman over the past two seasons as a result of their league performances. Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle was their 11th in the league this season, equalling their worst tally in a campaign under Wenger. They are 33 points behind leaders Manchester City, who have 87 points, and the same number away from bottom side West Brom, who have 21. Arsenal finished outside the top four last term for the first time since Wenger arrived at the club, and are now 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with five matches remaining. They face Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who are second in La Liga, in the Europa League semi-finals, with the first leg on Thursday. Wenger's ups and downs Wenger won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups in his first nine seasons in charge. In 2003-04, he became the first manager since 1888-89 to lead a team through an English top-flight season unbeaten. But after winning the 2005 FA Cup, they waited another nine years - or 3,283 days - for their next silverware. It came as they beat Hull City to win the 2014 FA Cup, before winning the trophy again the following season. Wenger won his seventh FA Cup last season, beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley, but finished 18 points behind Antonio Conte's Premier League champions. His side have struggled in Europe since losing to Barcelona in 2006 Champions League final. They were eliminated at the last-16 stage for the seventh successive season on their last appearance in the competition in 2017, losing 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich. In 2006, they moved into the ยฃ390m Emirates Stadium after leaving Highbury. The Gunners have consistently spent less than their main Premier League rivals on new signings, but Wenger twice broke the club's transfer record this season. France striker Alexandre Lacazette joined in the summer for ยฃ46.5m, while his final signing was Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for ยฃ56m in January. Who's next? Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has already been linked with the job, while Wenger himself said former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira "has the potential" to succeed him. Tuchel is the favourite with the bookies at the moment, ahead of Germany boss Joachim Low and former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti. "We have high ambitions to build on Arsene's remarkable tenure and to honour his vision by ensuring Arsenal competes for and wins the biggest and most important prizes in the game," added Kroenke. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/438342831 point -
