People seem to misunderstand me. I don't pay full price for incomplete products or defective products. This isn't just games, it's everything. My tolerance for shit products or service is zero, and I'll stand by that until I die. 

 

I used to be a lot more forgiving, but once the penny drops that companies just abuse your forgiveness and tolerance, it's a slippery slope as evidenced by the last few years in the gaming industry. Anthem, Cyberpunk, Warcraft Reforged, GTA Remastered, to name but a few. These aren't the result of companies wanting to put out shit products, it's the result of people letting them get away with it. Why put in the effort to deliver a quality, well polished game if people are just gonna fork over the full wedge and let them play catch up for the next few months/years anyway? 

 

The incentive for companies to get their shit together is dwindling with every game release and they abuse it. 

 

I'm funny about this though and see where society's headed, I'll just forever be that one irritating cuntfish that's always swimming upstream.

Then Battlefield 2042 would be the worst purchase you could possibly make. I have no doubt people have had fun on this game but it's broken in many respects, heavily incomplete, conceptually flawed and fundamentally terrible. This is off the back of many problematic Battlefield launches already yet people seem to treat broken and unfinished as the acceptable standard these days. This is by far the most alarming release in the series and possibly in gaming. The fact staple features are missing or worse than prior games is what I find absolutely unforgivable. If it's not in the game now and they plan to add it later then the game is not finished and it's unacceptable. Lack of destruction and squad features is just pitiful for me and makes everything feel like a barren sandbox. 

 

Give it a year and it'll be revealed that this game was in development hell, only had 1 year of actual development and DICE had no clue what they wanted to do with it. 5 people including the Head of Development have already left the company within the first 2 weeks of launch and they are already pushing an in-game store on users when the game needs 6-18 months of basic work. It was revealed that they've already lost 70% of players in two weeks and will probably have less than 5,000 by January on PC. This is before Warzone Pacific has been released and it's not like the game has much competition right now either. Good job they put bots in the game! 

 

Vince Zampella has now taken over which is great news though but he's not a miracle worker. He may save the Battlefield name but probably not this game going forward. There are way more deserving games out there of your time and money. I recommend watching the Angry Joe review - it's about 2 hours long and only covers a fraction of the issues but it's damning to say the least. I absolutely love Battlefield and have enjoyed all their games for almost two decades but this game houses everything wrong with the industry and society across the board.

DICE has released the Battlefield 2042 update 1.05 patch notes this December 2, and this is for BF2042 update #3 by...

 

Patch notes from the latest update ..... there is a lot 😱 . For me my favourite inclusions are a nearby system for players capable of reviving you when downed ( so you can watch them run past as you bleed out) and finally they have made the attachment system for weapons more user friendly 

 

I believe it broke mouses for PC players however 🤷‍♂️ but fuck em 😂😂

Having sat through the angry Joe review he was definitely generous with the 4/10. We know battlefield games launch bad which in itself is not an excuse but the one thing he said that resonates is the bones aren't there, they can patch glitches etc but all the core things that are missing and the dumb design decisions will likely never be fixed. If they were maybe then it would be worth a purchase. 

The sound part of the video was hilarious wtf is that soundtrack.

I would stop gaming before I'd play this in this state personally. 

Roll on bf7 not that they'd be hype after this one. 🤦

I've always enjoyed Battlefield. But after watching reviews and hearing others say don't purchase and lets wait for the next. I think I'll just do that. I do like a variety of FPS and I was looking forward for this. Thanks for the heads up.

It's been revealed that they stopped tracking Hazard Zone last month because the numbers were so tiny. There's been suggestions from data that a minority of users have tried it once and then never again.  Also Portal mode last week had 552 players globally at peak with crossplay enabled - these figures are absolutely shocking. Season 1 (whatever that entails) likely wont be out until March either and from now until then, there's God of War PC, Horizon Forbidden West, Total War: Warhammer 3, Dying Light 2, D2: The Witch Queen, Elden Ring, Gran Turismo 7 and Forspoken. Bear in mind that when this game was trialed as a F2P on Steam late last year, it mustered 36,000 at best which was half as much as Farming Simulator and down 64% on release less than a month previous. The Battlefield Direct Communication Twitter hadn't tweeted since December 18th until two days ago after immense pressure from the community to restore Rush - that's one Tweet in almost 1 month from the key community relations department. Meanwhile the community manager seems oblivious and is busy asking users what weekly challenges they want to see!?

 

Ultimate Edition owners are also waiting in the dark regarding their 'premium' content whilst others are wondering if it'll go F2P soon. I honestly don't know what they can do to salvage this game now.

Scoreboard coming next month and it's not going to be called any 'legacy' bullshit either. It's the real deal although it does look a bit nasty in terms of colours and bloat. 

 

Cannot believe it's taken 4 months to get the most simplest feature into the game. It's also been an absolute shit-show between the developers and the community majority on getting this in with Vince Zampella saving the day it seems.

I'm currently Level 30 as i play a couple of times a midweek before bedtime.

 

The only update I'm interested in is optimisation for PC. It runs my CPU hotter than I'm comfortable with. Other than that, the game is a blast.

• Fixed a variety of issues with attaching to ladders that could cause you to get stuck in a state where you could fly away or lose control of your Specialist

• Fixed an issue where camera shake and audio for landing would unintentionally trigger when dropping from very small heights
• Fixed an issue where weapons from a Loadout Crate would sometimes inherit ammo from the previously selected weapon
• Fixed an issue where being spotted when firing a weapon would spot you for too long

 

Stability

• Added multiple fixes to improve overall game stability 
• Fixed a rendering related crash that could occur for AMD Radeon VII users while Sundance was visible on screen

 

Weapons

• Sniper and SOFLAM scope glints now show from a further distance

 

Vehicles

• Fixed an issue where passenger weapons would no longer be in sync whenever the driver’s turret

It's not the Battlefield I know and love but it's like an antidote to Escape From Tarkov for me. Chilled bit of fun that I don't take too seriously, whereas Tarkov is hardcore hell/ecstasy 😁

It is 100000% better since launch. It still looks like minecraft from time to time mostly when I join a game first but the hit reg is much better as is spread . Its mad amounts of Fun . I can't wait for whenever i can get a PS5
