I've gone from "couldn't give a fuck" because of Blops 4, to "you have my attention".

Apparently the game looks stunning because of the new engine. Campaign is supposed to be realistic and really quite brutal.

 

 

It honestly depends on what they do with MP. All maps are going to be free. If all the in game purchases are cosmetic only then I'm fine with that.

No specialists this year thank god - instead it's Operators. Still not 100% clear on how it will pan out but I assume it'll be like 'create a character' rather than class. This is where microtransactions (cosmetic only hopefully) will be pushed most I bet.

I hope this is a return to form for COD. I do like the series but it's gone way downhill since BO3 (the last decent COD). Chances are Activison will fuck it up. They always do. They always go full retard.

Exclusivity still is there for PS4 but now only 7 days before other platforms.

 

The whole Cross Platform thing will be interesting now its been confirmed. I'm fine with Console to Console, just not with PC because of the K&M advantage. Maybe it won't be a big issue after all as i've read the COD player base on PC is relatively small.

 

This looks promising right now. Hoping more will come out regarding MP in the next few weeks and then at E3.

Ive no idea about console v pc personally but have heard that aim assist on console would level the playing field however unless your in the same party and or they have controller connected ?You'll not get matched with pc players.

As I said I've no idea.

I believe that PC players must be using controllers to cross platform play with console users. Cross play is also optional I believe. 

 

The big problem that is rising is the amount of modded controllers, Keyboard/mouse users and USB macro cheaters on console now. Would be strange seeing a PC user with a controller get fucked in the arse by a console user with a keyboard and mouse😂

 

Lots of clarification needed on this but I expect the PC version will also be frame-capped.

There needs to be some sort of opt in or boy howdy will console players have a bad time against PC. But on the other hand, I'd say almost a third of all console FPS users "cheat" and use a XIM already. (It's a huge problem in Rainbow Six and OW console)

 

I have to say as of right now with no dlc, free maps the game has my attention, and I haven't given a look to this franchise in almost a decade. 

 

This is their cash cow to fuck up.

The PC base was always small because of shitty ports. If it's a console port again then I don't see that changing too much.

Apparently there won't be a mini map. This is fine with me as I'm used to not having one from playing Hardcore. But it will either encourage more camping or discourage it as people won't be able to sit in a corner staring at the mini map all game.

We'll see but its promising to hear they are taking a lot of different and subtle changes in this game. It has to still be CoD but feel refreshingly different due to the amount of years the game has dipped.

Lets hope it is 10v10 as I like that number - large enough for big parties 😄 I thought there was a big Zombie following so a little surprised but again it supports the new look and feel of COD. Close to semi-on. Need abit more skin to be revealed or a little more cleavage.

I’m liking the no mini map approach but still sceptical on how the game will be. I used to love the original MW from years ago but was disappointed with the remastered version. It was probably more the players camping which triggered me most [emoji31]
Hopefully they’ve made the 360 noscope sniper jumpshots a thing of the past too [emoji23][emoji23]

An update on the cross-platform confusion:-

 

Fortnite-style “input matchmaking” will help avoid PC players stomping everyone, as is a common concern. You match with other players with your style of input, controller or M+K, and only go “out of your league” if you’re partied with a PC friend on console, which will get you into mainly PC games.

 

This is good. Still can't prevent the cheaters using heavily modded controllers (i.e one button press fires 5 bullets/no recoil) but it will keep it fair to a large degree. It'll also be a monumental culture shock to all the console M+K users going up against PC players. Hopefully if you're using a pad on PC, you can be matched primarily on console.

 

Now all we have to worry about is the players under the influence of GFuel😎

I honestly think as long as they keep it basic and focus on creating good quality maps and a good variety of useable weapons so that it is literally gun on gun action, bringing it back to what CoD used to be, then the vast majority of people will be happy. 

 

I am a heavy CoD player but I’m tired of this specialist nonsense with weapons and abilities that ruin the flow of the game. If I run into someone round the corner I want to Have a gun battle to determine the victor of the engagement, not have him leap 20ft in the air with his megadeath jackhammer of arsefuckery kill all team mates in the 6mile radius it covers.

You could get it in a supply drop but the better ways would be to grind 1400 hours or even easier, just spend $1500 in the in-game shop.
