Flash sales have been abolished now Phil. What you see day one is what you get throughout sadly. Valve wanted to keep a consistent pricepoint for each game to keep sales flowing rather than users stalling hoping that their games get further discounted in the flash sales every 12 hours.  It's made the sales rather boring and uneventful especially if nothing sticks out day one.

Is it worth picking up 7 days to die worth picking up while it is on offer? Do people still play it?

 

Though there are 2, '7 days to die' and '7 days to die pack' though can't see anywhere that lists the difference.  Does anyone know?

No idea on the packs. However, @tronic44 told me if I didn't spend 10.00 to play with him on 7 Days to Die I'm dead to him.
