Noob question. ..if I clear a cave of mobs and put torches out will they respawn?

Mobs only spawn in the dark so as long as you put enough torches down then nope.  The cave is now mob free.

Think I may have done a bad thing....went to the spawn to drop Bart's stuff off and a Husk came at me, so I gave it a whack and left the game.

 

Joined the server a few hours later and this Husk comes at me again so I killed it....is a Husk a good guy or s bad guy? And if it's a bad guy, how did it get in the spawn with all these torches?

A husk is basically a desert zombie so you're fine killing them.  I don't know how it got in to spawn though.

This isn't 100% accurate (Its about 95%)

 

A husk can also be a villager that has been turned into a zombie. There are several varieties of this sort of infection scenario. I think we have 3 on the server because of the MCA mod.

 

You have to pay attention to the zombie skin, if it looks like any other zombie but with different colors you are safe to kill it. If it looks like a really nasty looking, angry villager, then don't kill it, as you can cure it. 

 

You need a splash potion of weakness, and a golden apple. You hit the infected with a splash potion, and then trade it a golden apple, and it will be cured.  I will warn you though, you don't get anything for curing them. They just say thank you and walk away. So you can kill them, but the village guards might take offense to it.

 

What I do here is if I am in a village I cure them, if I am just outside a village and no guards are near, I kill them

Installed the new server just now (Marina too) with no problems. She's in the server now getting used to the new environment!

Morning Bart...has anything changed recently because my cursor doesn't identify the block it's on anymore? Not a biggy at the moment but there are still somethings I can't identify by sight. It also used to show which animals were ready for breeding..handy in crowded pen!

Bart...I think I've broken Minecraft...I thought I changed the WAILA value but probably hit the key twice..now the game loads to the screen where you selct multiplayer then crashes without letting you select anything. You then get put back to the launcher with the error mrssage...

 

"It looks like you are using an unsupported modified version of the game "

I saw on Google that renderDistance with more than 12 has caused this before but it is set to 12 already....if I delete this file will MC create a new one that works?

Everything you need should be in this post:

 

If I'm remembering this correctly you need to download the forge, the JSTR Modded and the Mod files.  Follow the instructions in Bart's post regarding installation, unzip the files and then JSTR Modded files go in "resource packs" and Mods go in to the "Mods" folder of your Minecraft install.

Sorry, should've said I followed the instructions already. I think I'm just putting them in the wrong place. The only reason I questioned what I did was because it says there should be a Forever Gaming zip and there isn't.

 

I think I just need to restart from the beginning but make a folder in a place I know where it is.

 

I'll make sure I download both as well, because I only downloaded the mod one.
