  1. Diablo 4 game director Louis Barriga, lead level designer Jesse McCree, and World of Warcraft designer Jonathan LeCraft are all out at Blizzard Entertainment. The news was first reported by Kotaku and then confirmed by Activision Blizzard. "We can confirm Luis Barriga, Jesse McCree, and Jonathan LeCraft are no longer with the company," a representative said. "We have a deep, talented roster of developers already in place and new leaders have been assigned where appropriate. We are confident in our ability to continue progress, deliver amazing experiences to our players, and move forward to ensure a safe, productive work environment for all.” A source at Blizzard also told PC Gamer that the senior developers are no longer in Blizzard's internal employee directory. The news comes during a tumultuous month as Activision Blizzard reacts to a lawsuit by the state of California alleging that the company has a sexist culture and widespread workplace toxicity. Louis Barriga was game director on Diablo 4, and has been with Blizzard for at least 15 years. He was previously a quest and systems designer, and a lead game designer on World of Warcraft. He was involved in the development of The Burning Crusade, Warlords of Draenor, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm expansions, as well as Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. Jesse McCree was a lead level designer at Blizzard, working on Diablo 3 and multiple World of Warcraft expansions. McCree had been employed since December 2005, according to his LinkedIn page. He's apparently the namesake of Overwatch character Jesse McCree, and his involvement in the "Cosby Suite" group chats documented by Kotaku led some Overwatch fans to ask the name of the character be changed. McCree also has at least five characters in World of Warcraft named after himself. Jonathan LeCraft had worked at Blizzard since 2005 as well, serving as a senior game designer for World of Warcraft. He has worked primarily on World of Warcraft since The Burning Crusade. This situation is developing, and PC Gamer has reached out to Activision Blizzard for comment.
  2. I've wondered how it would be on switch. Good to know!
  3. Ha! Sounds good. I haven't played Minecraft in a bit. I've been hooked on Elder Scrolls and League of Legends lately. I'm definitely due for some Minecraft. 👍 I've had my account for yeeeears, so I'm sure it's the old Java version. I hope I don't run into any issues trying to switch over!
  4. I'd love to have Tekken 7!
  5. League of Legends and Minecraft are the two that I always come back to.
  6. Well, well, well... look at you using capital letters!
  7. I was struggling with both the keyboard controls and the crafting, lol. I was hitting the jackpot with food but died to zombies each time. I wasn't in the DayZ mindset. Gotta be in the right mind to survive.
  8. So, yeah... if anyone wants to buy me one of these, I'll gladly accept! lol I think this thing will be huge. I can see people doing all sorts of things with this. Should be interesting!
  9. I updated and played a bit of Dayz this weekend. I feel super out of practice! I was on the struggle bus the whole time, lol.
  10. That's great!!!
  11. I've got Heaven so I'll just need Cinebench then. Thanks.
  12. Weekdays: 2:45 PM EST - 5 PM EST Weekends: Random as hell, but usually after 9 PM EST Don't worry about scheduling it around me. I'll try to work in to fit w/ you guys.
  13. Let me know when you all plan to do this and I'll try to hop in as well.
  14. I'm down to test mine to see where I'm at, maybe push it a bit, but it runs fine for my needs, so I don't want to stress it for no reason. What programs are we using, what all are we testing? Sorry, I've never gotten into benchmarking stuff much.
  15. This is the type of reply I was hoping to hear about, personal experiences. That sounds pretty serious with that WoW situation, sheesh! Haha. I'm glad you're not that deep anymore. MMOs can certainly be addictive. I don't think I've ever been personally addicted to video games, other things in life, but not games. Like Didds and some others have mentioned, back in the Duty hay days, I used to get down quite a bit and was hooked. I'd even say it was like that with the first Destiny. I'd think about playing it all the time and squeeze some time in any chance I had. Playing with the clan all the time made it more than just gaming, it was a social thing as well. It's been a while since I've felt that strongly about any game. I still game plenty, but I haven't had anything suck me in like that in a long time.
  16. Fuck it, come join me in ESO.
  17. Right. I agree. But, I'm curious if anyone's here has ever found themselves addicted to video games. Addiction comes in 101 flavors, but I'm just curious about personal experiences with being addicted to gaming specifically.
  18. Have any of you ever found yourself feeling addicted to gaming or known someone who has been? Where do you personally draw the line? Thoughts on this topic?
  19. Daaaamn! Nice system dude. I'm jealous of that 3090! Congratulations 🙂
  20. Yeah, Lee was a beast at sniping back in the day. He put together great videos too. Very cool dude. I don't get to talk to him much anymore, just once in a while.
  21. Hey, Steve. I'm still on here, just not as often anymore. I've enjoyed your FB post about the Bonsai tree. Very cool man. I'm interested.
  22. Congrats Chad!
  23. Coffee all day every day. I don't drink Starbucks or anything of that shit. Just black coffee.
  24. I dare anyone to find a better gaming community. It can't be found. This place is amazing.
