  1. Sorry but wasn't there already a remaster for PS4, why does there need to be another iteration. This is bonkers and show's the direction of the industry whilst a lot of the players continues to eat it up. I hope it bombs I really do. We need new IP's not remakes and remasters of existing games, with the current trend every time we move forwards in tv technology we will just get the next generation of the same games... Absurd...
  2. I sadly think this is the run up to the death of the battlefield franchise and it's going to be mostly down to EA. There were some poor design choices in 2042 but the bulk of the issues stem from EA trying to turn battlefield into something akin to COD (which they have tried many times) in order to get their fifa of shooters. The season releases at this point are likely what you say James, if they don't then there is grounds for those paying for higher tiers to take them to court. I continue to play BFV (not necassarily their strongest release) but it's still night and day with this latest game. For me there is also the principle now, the price was higher for this game and the standard was so much lower on launch that I'm not sure I will return to it at all even if they put things right at this stage.
Some insane goals in there! Especially in the first half, felt like every shot went in. Last night it was the opposite and we were unlucky not to get more wins / goals but well played all 🙂
  3. Not sure if you guy's ever played it, but Alpha Protocol to me was the best James Bond game (that wasn't a Bond game). If they made something like that I'd be quite happy 🙂 Though what they could do with today's tech and funding could be something special ^_^ Similarly the splinter cell games seem to have died off / gone quiet in recent years.
  4. I played it recently ^_^ Still have a working N64 and whilst it's fun it obviously feel's very dated. I'm incredibly surprised it has not had a remake in this day and age, feels like a cash cow if ever there was one. Almost like a remake of Ocarina of time would be as well.
  5. That was tough last night 😄 Not sure if part of it was just we all kept getting in each other's way and that as well. The last game (admittedly it was a division lower) was much better but I think we were down to 5 or 6 players? Nay mind, was enjoyable! I think someone mentioned that a few of you are playing modern warfare at the moment, I will have to wait till payday else my wife will kick me up the arse but I might look at getting it in a few weeks to give me something else to game with you lot on (might hit my targets on there better than I did last night 😄 )
  6. Managed to get to the cinema the weekend for the first time since having children ^_^ So a few years, and got to see Top Gun 🙂 It's a brilliant film and I would argue as good (maybe better) than the original, a little less romance and a bit more flying of planes, added tense moments to them and some of the action scenes were brilliant 🙂 Would definately recommend watching at the cinema rather than at home as well, it really need's a good sound system and big screen I think 🙂
  7. Thanks for the matches last night, not sure I will be on today but will definately be on again with you lot 🙂 Results went our way which always makes clubs more enjoyable!
  8. Thanks guys, have added a couple of you, my pros are on ps5 and Xbox so will have to play some drop in games and pick up some points to add into my player
  9. God of war looks very much a me game, i have tried to play it twice and bounced off it. will add it to the library but cant see me ever getting through it! It’s not a bad month mind, just think anyone that wanted to play god of war probably already has it?
Almost makes COD appealing! I must admit I have not put any real hours into COD since the original Modern Warfare 2 but seeing video's like this makes me wonder if I am missing out!
  10. I find the sword incredibly fun to use on Battlefield V, it gives you the extra speed to run around the battlefield and you can rack up some kills with it (almost as good as the Welgun) so here is video number 2.

  12. Just a short video from back on Fifa 21 messing around in clubs.
  13. Do you guys play on PS or XBOX? Do you often have any space in the squad and is it just Mondays? I used to play a lot of clubs but my group largely drifted away (and I can't play with my brothers as they are frustratingly bad to play with 😄 ) If so who should I be adding and what is the clubs name? 🙂
  14. Hi @IRaMPaGe & @GazzaGarratt thanks for the welcome 🙂 I mostly play PS5 but do have a Switch, laptop and Series S as well (played in that order of preference). My 3ds is getting a lot of love at the moment though and I have a couple of DS games turning up for it this week 🙂 Will be my go to gadget when I go on holiday in a months time. From the UK, West Midlands and in case anyone wants to add me my name on almost everything is the username I have on here - Luseth.
  15. As someone who has been a big fan of the series for years there has been a noticeable change in direction, the last game BFV was a slight shift towards that end goal and I think fans started to move away at that point knowing what was to come. BF2042 is a complete and utter disaster that I think they may struggle to recover from, I appreciate they are trying to find the right model going forwards however there were glaring omissions from the original launch that took a lot of what battlefield was away, couple that with badly designed maps that were possibly way too big and there's no one who has stuck around to play it. I jumped on briefly the other night (PS) and the gun play is actually quite good I feel but everything else just let's it down. It's such a far cry from BF1 (which was incredibly atmospheric) and even BFV has had it's really good moments.
  16. I'm a big fan of the series 🙂 The more recent games are certainly much more friendly in that they are easier to get into so you are probably at the right point to jump in. Essentially you have a little army and you move each piece / unit at a time and attack other units. Think chess in rudimentary terms or final fantasy tactics for something else relatable. Three houses on the switch is certainly one of their best (though here the price never dropped from release) or I would highly recommend fire emblem awakening on the 3ds as well 🙂
  17. So errm hi! I am sort of looking for a new place to call home so to speak, the forum I typically visit has become far too political and all I really want to do is talk games 😄 So yeah, I have young children which limits my gaming time but I'm a big fan of JRPG's, from the UK, I play a fair amount of battlefield with friends when I can (We won't mention 2042) and I have access to almost every console I could ever want (though my collection for each tends to be small and limited!) So yeah hopefully I will get chatting to you all soon, hi 🙂
