Maybe the fact that there isn't anything as big as Activision/Blizzard, they went for one of the more smaller yet successful companies out there right now. Sometimes I think we have to give Sony credit when credit is due. Not for this deal but based on their experience of buying smaller developers in, and essentially allowing them the freedom to make such incredible IPs in recent years, its why Microsoft have been trying to make moves since creating Game Pass and now buying Acti/Blizz. If it was me, I definitely think buying Bungie based on their morals and integrity (so far) is a better buy than something like Call of Duty right now. Its still $3.6 billion. Not sure what else is on the market to buy? Regarding Konami, that would've been ace personally but I think the play now is trying to keep in the European and Western markets - The East is now just full with Mobile games and with the recent restrictions China imposed on all youngsters, you would say there seems to be more method than madness in the deal.

I doubt they'll hit the PS exclusive loot too. Destiny 2 just shared this on Twitter. It does follow every move they have made since having full creative control. Glad to see it stay that way too.

News just broke! Sony buying Bungie for $3.6 billion WWW.GAMESINDUSTRY.BIZ Destiny studio will remain multiplatform, able "to self-publish and reach players wherever they choose to play" $3.6 Billion. Great news personally. Lets hope they get even more Devs to work on the game through this. Sony supporting some companies has worked very well if you look at all of their exclusives.

Looks like Wednesday we'll get 30 minutes of PS5 gameplay, and hopefully a more in depth look at gamemodes and cars/upgrades. Definitely warming up me cockles for this now 😎

Anything to help the playerbase i'm all for....but I suspect its the underlying UI and gameplay they really need to make more consistent and easy to use for this to be a total success.

A great article and now a great little thread. We're rubbish at taking photos of each other, and we try to have a go at each other about how to get more pictures. I think cloud saving will become even more important these days to try and store our memories for future generations. Thanks, Dave.

As Lee'esh says above, never apologise for explaining who you are! Its great to see you do an intro...and hi to the both of you! Ant sums it well I think (well, I'll always be slightly bias 😉) as there's loads to get involved, and thats just the forum side. Loads of areas for fun and get to know more about other FGers too. Here's the full gameplay release event, including the Ambassadors and clubs so far signed up to them. Obtaining Ronaldo I think is solid news and the gameplay looks decent enough, especially for a Free 2 Play game. They've said it includes 2v2 and 3v3....shame I didn't hear about a mode similar to Pro Clubs but we can live in hope they can do something like that on release. The Divisions when playing look great too. I don't think it will play as well as FIFA straight off the bat but this looks miles better than what eFootball offers. A 200 strong team on one game should mean this game gets well supported and has every chance. Would love to see a release date in the first part of the year.

I'm going to have to find time to watch the newest Suicide Squad film so I can get up to speed with this. Cena seems to be making waves with his acting performances of late.

Considering I was thinking about buying Planet Coaster, I'm pretty happy that's available on PS5 for free now. I agree that the others are a pass for me though. @LordBaguette , you should be happy too since we spoke about getting Planet Coaster. -

Under the radar game (again) and after re-reading this thread, i'll admit i'm hyped but keeping it very under wraps. The thrill of the night time mixed with Parkour was something to behold.
