Quite a lot of high profile streamers have been waiting to get into it from launch. The no subscription has me still looking at it, as it would be good to see where it goes not long after launch. Have they confirmed DLCs or additional content post launch at all?

Yep, agree with that. The PlayStation VR isn't made for PC, although you can fiddle with it and get it to work with adapters, etc. It just isn't worth it imo. A further Christmas down the line you can look at PC VR machines. I have 2 of these monitors and they are perfect for what he wants to do. Has the gaming needs such as quick response times and its a relatively cheap monitor compared to others in the market. Desk wise, for me it would be trying to save money on it where possible but also it matters what you want to match in his bedroom. The ones above works but I don't think there's a desk that your son will care too much about. Get one that works for your budget and his room. If you save on stuff like that, you can get little extras then like a desk mat from Amazon that has RGB lights all the way around it. We love the films and one day it would be amazing to read the books, just not sure i'll have the stamina for all of them! Some fascinating detail in them, I hear. Hayley told me about them ahead of the films so it definitely did add extra interest into seeing what the franchise was all about.

Would absolutely love to mate...even wanted to change it to a mini-FG meet up but unfortunately I can't make it as I wouldn't be finished with Yara's footy until midday and so by mid afternoon most of the day would've been gone 😞 I need to find a way around these Saturday mid-morning kick offs! 🤣 Others should take a look though, would be ace to see a few pics of the event and some of you guys meeting up!

@Emma McManus just gonna wait for one of the experts to arrive to help us understand more. I think the monitor is pretty small if you ask me. 24" minimum as eventually he'll want 2 screens on show. My spider sense is tingling though and thinking you can get a better ready made one from Scan or Overclockers. @Diddums @Greboth @phil bottle @Spacedeck @TurboR56Mini @RenFengge @BO7H B4RRELS if you don't think its a good deal, should we find a few links to some better packages on OCUK or Scan?

I think its the nostalgia factor of having the actual system on show alongside playing some of the games rather than having all the games. There's millions of casual gamers that aren't bothered about having every game like hardcore gamers. For me, its great news that Sega is coming to Switch! Although somewhat im torn as I will always prioritise finding the original game and cartridge for the Mega Drive. Its about the whole playtime from getting the old controllers out, blowing the cartridge and playing on the original machine that gives it an edge over playing the Switch...having said that, when I go on holiday now I'll absolutely tap into some of these games as I recently did with Zelda via the Online offering.

@Antpool84 , looks like only a small few have issues idenbtied and an even smaller few have critical issues: Games tested with the online ID change feature WWW.PLAYSTATION.COM Not all games support the online ID change feature, and issues could occur in some PS4 games after changing your online ID. This article explains what issues you could experience, and a list of PS4 games... I think you're good to go as many newer games should be testing for this stuff so the game is created not to link to master PSN names. I do believe you keep your original name too so you can always move back to it at any point I think?

First race and I had the best car after picking Volkwagen for this season, but it soon fell apart yet again. Good start, seemed to be able switch with Kiwi for first but as we fought it meant Phil stuck with us. After watching both of them gain harsh penalties it was looking good only for the final fast chicances with wearing tyres to slide me into the barrier and also gain a penalty. After that I was just fighting too hard and picked up a total of 5 seconds which hurt me badly. All the time, Nick was sure and steadily gaining on us all. By the time Phil had lost the plot with 19 seconds of penalties, I was getting too much into a fight with him and i could see Nick virtually in catch ing distance due to my penalties. I stupidly tried to get rid of them in the last lap but it was way too late to do that. Alas, 3rd it was. Fantastic race by Nick. Changing my name to Mr Consistently Inconsistent Bryan Robson.

I think it shows how much of a man you are mate, to write something that needs so much courage to do so. I'm thankful that you are around Chad, some people in that situation I'm sure wouldve given up by now, gone back to the booze and not given an inch of care. But you haven't. You show people that there is a way to live and get through it, even if you have bumps along the way. Open dialogue seems to help with this more than not and if people now know the pain you have they'll hopefully appreciate it, as you will knowing there's people at FG that have always got your back dude. Defo agree to that! They'll always be better ways and whilst I get frustrated with ppl thinking I'm super pro-Destiny, i'm still objective to the point where even I know that the DLC in December I think it slightly higher priced and would've been a nice gesture to find a way of giving it us for free. Isn't Arma 3 an FPS not an RPG? Either way, it doesn't matter because I think we have different values in our minds so the hope is we just get a good ride out of the next few installments of D2. It is refreshing to see though of late the amount of FGers outside of me saying its in a great shape, even the ones who don't own any DLCs or Seasons.

Its a fair thing to say, even if I agree to disagree with that statement. I think its for a separate thread entirely which we had ages ago about what you feel is good value for money as we all have different scales and ideas on that. For me, the gaming world has evolved, especially with covid as well and game development being scarily long in a world where no one can wait for 7 years, these days so many more games are being released in 'alpha' or updated over time. Price wise its one of the cheapest arguably. Its around £3 quid a month for regular weekly updates of content (free and some part of Seasons) with separate money for DLCs, which are far less than new game prices (upto £70 on PS5 now) which can be a huge gamble for people these days. Whereas, you can at least still play this game around with the free base elements and the stuff you have already unlocked/paid for. It hits that middle spot between not being a subscription based huge MMO game and not being a 'once and done' game which could be good but played for a month and thats it e.g. Outriders.

The only come back to this is that I don't find many games, if any that can make new, regular content without getting paid for it. 🤷‍♂️ Every game has a price, and standing back to look at all the games we've played over the past 10 years, I don't think any other game has remained constantly around in our play window. Their issue for me is that it relies on social media interaction to help explain their game. Not always, and it slowly gets better but they can always do more. They definitely are not the worst though. Warframe has a monuymental struggle for new players to understand how it all works with virtually nothing in game to explain what happens. Probably why we should try harder as a community to help each other more often. I didn't see you on btw Biron, let us know if you do though, even if its on Xbox now crossplay is fully enabled.

Yeah, @phil bottle, Gary @techno and myself dipped on to it yesterday for a few hours and it was a nice surprise to see the hub there (loved the semi-open bar space on a slant!). We didn't do much so apologies if we tripped up on anything we shouldn't have. We went exploring North to the sea where we started to put a makeshift basecamp there. came across many fires and shacks near the coast so guessed it was you La! 🤣 Really helps if you want to get some quick safety. If there is something we can do in the config file to make the days last longer that would be great. Before we knew it, the day would just slip by and it feels like night forever! Just also helps when building with the light, etc but no worries if not. I caught glimpse of a Cartographer table so thats very cool. Hopeing to come across more different building materials although I have no idea if i've unlocked them or not right now 😅 Did see a Crystal Wall though too which was strange!
