Sonic Mania is getting an upgrade called Sonic Mania Plus. Sonic Mania Plus will introduce two classic series stars as playable characters: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. Both debuted in the 1993 isometric arcade spin-off, SegaSonic the Hedgehog, and most recently had a cameos in Sonic Generations. Sonic Mania Plus also adds a new "Encore Mode", which freshens up existing levels with visuals changes, alongside "new ways to play, and new ways to explore". Lastly, Sonic Mania's split-screen multiplayer racing mode, known as Competition Mode, will be expanded to accommodate four, rather than the current two, players. Sonic Mania Plus will launch this summer in digital and physical forms. The physical release will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, and includes a holographic slip cover, a reversible Genesis sleeve (which will be appropriately Mega-Drive-themed in Europe), plus a 32-page Sonic Mania Art Book. All for $29.99 USD (about £21). The digital version, meanwhile, will be available as a standalone download, and existing owners of the original Sonic Mania will be able to upgrade to Plus, with pricing information to be announced at a later date. I'm really hoping that the price to upgrade is below £10. Also, I love the idea of 4 player split screen but it needs to be online rather than native to just your local PS4. If anyone hasn't bought the original Mania game though, I'd definitely recommend it but maybe wait to get the plus version for £21.

Updated Road Map moves Heroic Strike modifiers back to May Pretty disappointing in one way because I've been waiting to properly try strikes for this but in another vain, May should be the time most others give D2 a chance again. Chris Barrett said it was a major fault that causes the delay but now means they can add to it. I don't doubt a fault but arguably it feels inevitable they would always have faults as its probably still in early dev phase. They need to use the time to string the right rewards to this activity. The recent addition of Impact grenades are useful if you get stuck in the Storm. Throw them at your feet whilst running and they'll explode throwing you forward a fair distance. Every little helps in the Storm.

Thought it would be good to get some quick basic tips to help people starting out. A few people have given me the following so far: You can shoot other ships through waves – it sounds like the bottom of the ships are the most successful and dangerous target to focus on. Stock up on supplies whenever you can(bananas/wood planks/cannon balls) The more treasure on your ship, the riskier you are playing(pirates will be pirates) If you are returning treasure, people wait at outposts to steal it. So, if you see a ship or blue smoke in the water at an outpost, someone is there. prepare to fight or go to another one Cannon balls arch down and when moving, they arch behind you, practice is all you can do

FYI, the more I see of this game the more I believe it should turn into one of our main games. Any info yo have please feel free to put it here or start new threads. Whilst there's no clan function yet, we could get a reasonable size crew available at any point to grab 3 other people and hit the seas. The crossplay on this I think will really suit it which I haven't seen done well before.

I've heard it's all about research first to develop the best types of defence on your ships whilst you send out for outposts. Not a problem @Plumbers Crack, maybe one day in the future we can find a way

The next Calibur is due this year and a rumour spread a few weeks back that they'd get a special charater from the Witcher The story mode in the early games were brilliant and made this much more than just a straightforward beat em up.

If it's got John McLane in it, I'll watch it Lol, I don't mind easy action films like Die Hard, however I'm with you both as I loved all of the first 4 films but the last one I haven't cared to try and watch as I felt they should've left it where it was. Sort of reads as a cash cow if I'm honest. Allows them to also repackage the full collection again.

I'm really not sure it is price tbh. I don't see the Switch comparable with a PC. The digital stores for any consoles will always be higher than Steam as its sold as a unique build that can't be tampered with. I also believe the Switch is aimed at families like usual however with an added benefit to try and enter the core console market. Hardcore players that are also PCMR will come up with similar views to yours imo. What I like about it is they never entered a race with PS4 and xbone but they are slowly coming a part of it which they need applauding for.

I'm looking forward to seeing some gameplay on this. Never usually had that feeling for a CoD game but WW2 has perked my interest a little more than usual.
