  2. They've also just been banned from this year's Indian Premier League. Lolz.
  3. 12 month ban from Cricket Australia for Captain Smith and Vice-Captain Warner. I think they'll struggle to play again for their country now. The world of abuse they're going to get from each game they play will be glorious.
  4. In the first patch, Rare mentioned they wpuld implement a Death Tax so there was repurcussions when you died you'd lose gold. This wasn't a great move and feedback was pretty damning, especially as you can get spawn trapped by griefing players. Good news is they reversed this decision so no impact on death. I'll grab the details of what they are expecting to fix and introduce.
  5. Let's use this thread for SoT updates to the game.
  6. Dying Light: Bad Blood is a new standalone online title set in the universe of the 2015 game. The concept is simple: six players are dropped across a large, open map with the goal of harvesting and looting enough blood packets to trade in for a helicopter ride out of the infected zone. The catch? There's only room for one. Game Informer Link The primary way to obtain blood packets is by killing zombies. Nests are located all over the city, and since you're racing against other players to get to the chopper with enough blood, you want to make a beeline toward the high concentration areas. Unfortunately, when you're dropped in, it's with nothing but the clothes on your back. Thankfully, the looting and crafting aspects of the original game are fully intact; you're not going to get far without a competent weapon, and weapon mods definitely help. Once you get enough blood, you level up, increasing your damage and health. To have enough to trade in for a helicopter evac, you need to max out to level five. It doesn't take long; each of my matches lasted ten minutes or less. After acquiring enough blood, you must make your way to the evac point and hold it for 30 seconds as the other players are notified of your near-victory state. This leads to tense battles that put most zombie swarms to shame as the remaining survivors descend upon the point for a winner-take-all slugfest that could see any of the players emerge victoriously. _________________________________________________________ This looks and sounds really cool. The original game was extremely well made which makes you hope they can pull off the PvP side of things. Sounds a little like The Division Dead Zone and where you have to loot blood instead of items and then get to the extraction point. Hoping the 6 player action can have some form of teaming up on it.
  7. Come on Phil, clearly when he said everyone else translated that as 'Phil, come on and help me now'. Utter noob at translating @Diddums speak.
  8. It could! ....but you need to sort your PC out so we can play on the FG server as well... Nah, most of us are around between 7pm GMT and past midnight. Equally others will be around on weekends.
  9. In the interest of being objective, Angry Joe put his review up. Suffice to say he has a point and that is why I will enjoy it for grouping up and having fun with others rather than focusing on grinding. They will have to add to the game in the first 6 weeks imo.
  10. So we got any ideas for this map yet? Apart from disconnecting Hamza at the start to cancel the game.
  11. What a tune.
  12. Where do you go to weigh a whale? A whale weigh station.
  13. You know I only drink the good stuff
  14. Patch notes are up and they are pretty large. I'll add this video for now as Houndish sunmarises it. I'll post the word update when I can tonight (or if someone sees this and gives me a hand ) Don't forget, the update also brings Nighftall Strike Specific Loot.
  15. I still don't know why I'm not even pulled to this game in the slightest. The game initially to me doesn't look significantly different to Far Cry 4 and as I was bored of that quickly maybe it's that, that keeps me at a distance from it. Looking forward to all your first impressions.
  16. Yeah, it's a worry but potentially their only saving grace right now is the fact that big MP games aren't pulling everyone in like they used to. Fortnite is doing well but its not the in-depth game that people are crying out for currently. They've acknowledge this is more in line with D1 ways and if they can keep making positive changes it can get back to where it was. Just needs time and content that hasn't been burned through. The right tools are needed otherwise it doesnt matter how good content is as you wont have anything to grind for. After that it's content we need and the activities to be more complex and rewarding. We should hear more next week on next expansion and other content offerings.
  17. I have it too as the kids play it on my PS4. Tbh I want to spend time on the FG server if I have spare time on MC so maybe if you guys could download the PC version we could have separate nights on the PS4 version and the PC one?
  18. First on solo I had no idea what I was doing. Second night on with @phil bottle and it is brilliant fun. Got shot of a cannon, drank grog and got sick. Then put in a bucket and then chucked it over Phil. Twas hilarious. Did some voyages (quests/missions) to kill some skeletons and then had to find the right island for some treasure. Dug it up and brought it home for to collect our gold. Did well not to run into any other scurvy crew so maybe next time will go out searching for the big ships and see if we can take them on. I can see already where the initial criticism has come to the game about content but I don't think it's made to grind for 7 hours a day to to do the voyages as quick as you can. It's a real relaxing game to play and sailing on the seas looks great. As the ships have a few things going on, it really makes a significant difference if you play in a party. Playing solo I think you'll struggle to enjoy the game as you get some reward out of taking roles such as lookout or checking the map whilst others sail the ship and another changes the speed of and direction of your sail. I wouldn't say its worth the full £50 from an objective viewpoint, however for the FG value of playing with people here i'm definitely thinking it was still a good purchase. Looking forward to trying crossplay at some point with a few of Xbox people to see how that runs. Oh, and being able to play musical instruments together is hilarious. Definitely grabbing a beer or 7 when we go sailing again.
  19. Well, it needs some life and i'm glad we hear Josh Harnick talking some sense when he explains they have decided to push weapons more to the OP side of things. I'd rather have more guns to talk about in PvP and be able to say 'what the hell was that gun that shot me'. The Dawnblade at 2 minutes in looks exactly like you want it to look - fast, powerful and causing havoc (not to mention annoying for a Titan). Like it's been said by many people that follow D2 still and want it to be good, this will hopefully make the PvP side much more interesting, whilst they still need to focus heavily on sorting out the PvE side which I have my fingers and toes crossed for May's update. One thing I did see online is that they are still listening and considering Random Rolls and Weapom Slots as 'extremely high' up the discussion ladder at Bungie. I feel if they could one of those at some point Shotguns and Snipers would have a place again. I may pop on for some PvP later in the week to check out the speed differences.
  20. More than welcome to if you have time Rob. I didn't like the font either - it was the only thing that looked half decent on Microsoft Presentation This is more of an example of what we could do that I knocked up in an hour so template for the week and month would be the right way to go if people are keen on it?
  21. Fuck yes! 😂
  22. This is huge news in sport and so they should be hung and quartered by the press. What was more disappointing was the news conference admitting it all. It's like they just didn't care. 'Yep, we planned it. Ah well, sorry. Won't happen again.' If this was England we'd be all over them. Massive repercussions in store for them.
  23. Hi all, just as an example how would a picture of upcoming stuff work with an event backing them up? I could also then post it on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Would it get you interested and joining in? Just an idea and it's okay to say it wouldn't btw. Need geniune feedback. Cheers. Via the FG App
