    Emulation *shudders* [emoji23] Everyone that knows me here would say I'm just a sucker for original and physical stuff rather than emulators. There isn't really anything wrong with them, I just find there's far more nostalgia and feel good that comes out of a night of retro gaming when I'm blowing the cartridge free of dust and putting it into my consoles. If there was a way of getting us altogether to play my old consoles I'd do it in a heartbeat. Next best option is our trip to Manchester's Arcade Club in November [emoji16]

    This has been going better than I expected. Definitely not as sweaty as you imagine. I'm not concerned if we lose at all but funnily enough we haven't lost many. (That's down to the others though, not me [emoji23]) The second part of Luna's Howl is tons of kills with a Hand Cannon in competitive. By slowing my play down slightly, I'm actually finding that they aren't too bad. I'm still an AR or Pulse Rifle player but the Ace of Spades is a pretty solid pick - especially as the radar stays up whilst you're ADSing and kill clip stays permanently active for next 6 shots. Anyone else fancy this? Honestly, the grind isn't too bad if we have FG parties [emoji847]

    Thanks for sharing. We'd rather put detail here in separate threads than do the old copy/paste trick to just go and read Reddit. I don't read Reddit, just can't understand how conversations work on there. On the odd occasion I click a link to see a sentence to grab and share here which is the best way forward if we want this place to be the place to go for our needs. [emoji106] P.S. I think we have quite a few of them covered - have you checked to see which ones haven't and then could start separate ones for those? Just a thought [emoji847]

    We didn't need to all use it. Because of Gambit most people have ensured their Sleeper is there most powerful Heavy weapon. I'm pretty sure, Whisper, D.A.R.C.I., Two Tailed Fox, Sleepless, Tractor Cannon followed by Void Super and more will all work. Tbh, any bosses in the Destiny franchise or other games for that matter, you end up having a couple of go to Heavy weapons regardless. I think this is more of a comment for that you had a Sword on for the whole of the Shuro Chi boss and Chris was probably making that point obvious a few hundred times more than needed! [emoji23][emoji23]

    Didn't expect it at all last night but when a few of the guys called Raid, we gave the Last Wish a go. One-phased Kalli super quickly and after that, learnt Shuro Chi (2nd Boss) reasonably quickly and managed to get her down after around 5/6 attempts. Thanks for the run @Capn_Underpants @SensaiNemesis @Amnotright @crispymorgan @igotmollywhopped Apologies I was quite too, just got stuff on atm. Impressions of the raid so far is that it is one of the best, if not the best encounters created that I've attempted. The mechanics you still have to get down but it's not too technical enough to distract you away from the fact you still have a huge boss to defeat that needs a ton of damage to be dealt. I think we should be aiming for FGers to be around 570 at least to make the first 2 encounters doable whilst challenging.

    Never thought you'd say that! You have played a ton of it though. Your comments keep reminding me to ensure I try and get a team of us to go in when I want to play a game of Gambit. My solo experiences have been pretty decent so far but I've only had a handful of games on my own so it could get worse.

    Hi there Sean, nice to see a new face here! Really good intro as others have said, you're hitting definitely hitting my sweet spot with retro games as I collect and love playing all my old games when I can around grouping up on PS4 and PC with the people here. Can't beat playing the Mega Drive with Wiz n Liz for a bit and then switch to Mario Kart on the SNES. You own many old consoles then? We did have a retro section but I collapsed it as it felt like it didn't have enough traction. You're tickling me to get it back though as its a personal preference of mine. Welcome to FG mate - really hope you enjoy the stay and get involved where you can!

    Nice to finally get back on this. It's sure addictive as hell to just do 'one more lap'. I managed a 2:12 something for my first night which I've got be happy with. I may go back to the Lambo Huracan as moving to the McLaren that Greeboth used, whilst it's quicker it really is hard to control. Oversteer is a bitch in that! I really need to go sub 2.10 more regularly otherwise I'll just feel like I can't make any inroads into those top times you guys already have.

    Nice one Travis, I've always wanted to give more time with the Competitive Playlist but being brutally honest, been worried that people take it too sweaty. We all want to win but if I lose, it ain't the end of the world. Still gotta have fun and I've seen that this playlist shouldn't have to be too sweaty. I know there's quite a lot here that would definitely be up for some Comp PvP play. From the top of my head I'd have thought these people may consider comp play: @crispymorgan @Stretch616 @Bluebear @techno @Amnotright @LordBaguette @SyntaxMonstr @Sofaman @tronic44 There's probably others but I know Competitive PvP isn't for everyone.

    I don't think the catch up is that bad at all. The underlying issue I think here is that it is the old argument linking to solo vs team play. It's on the Competitive Playlist so some co-ordination is needed in order to win consistently. Datto said it himself in his recent video very well - you can't solo win a game. You just can't. You have moments that change the game but all 4 need to pull their weight. I also don't think there's any dodgy play in the team that is 1-0 down plays better because of different enemies, etc. Prime example is look at ourselves. The amount of times we go behind whilst we're having a laugh and then go "oh shit, better play a little" [emoji23]. You don't see it much in Crucible as most modes are one round. We've seen this a lot in Overwatch, sometimes you need a kick in the arse to play better [emoji39] However, if this is true then sucks ass. They've never said this and it's always been a progessional rank system that rewards you further if you win, not 0 if you lose. It's not a deal breaker to the gamemode but it's the first disappointing part I've heard to this gamemode so far.

    LOLZ. Felt really bad for you dude. Ran through 5 people to get their first Escalation Protocol Shotgun - @Stretch616 @crispymorgan @NCA-Paendrag @Bluebear @DarkArch3typ3 but nothing for Gary 🙈😂 (that's karma for you getting the first FGer to get Malfeansance quest 😁) As always a really good thing to do with 6-9 of us each week for an hour or so. Won't be long until Bungie release a new Triumph to beat EP on 2 FPS 😂

    Who hasn't got the Escalation Protocol Shotgun yet in FG? I have ut but I thought it would be a good thing to get a big party going to help a few people get it as its the only weapon dropping this week until Tuesday reset.

    I've said it for a while that the Destiny universe has some great back stories and now it's finally being played out at it's best it's ever been. So much is connecting over 3-4 years that we can now untangle some stuff that we were totally scratching our head about when the story wasn't making much sense. As there is quite a lot of stuff about Destiny, the worlds, races and people what would you guys wanna talk about more? Nick @Bluebear has offered up his time to start some posts, as will I, but I won't be as good as his thoughts on it [emoji16] Equally, if you want a thread about something you want to know more about, I'd urge you to create it.

    Here's my clip from when I dropped the Heart last night. First game of the night, talking to the guys and the wife as well throughout. I completely didn't realise we had spawned it as we were so far behind. Didn't see it either when I invaded and got 3 kills to keep them at bay. Total excitable panic at the end, when I kept dying. So glad one of our team got a kill over the other side otherwise it might not have dropped.

    I agree, although I wouldn't wait too long. Just invading can put the other team on edge. Getting 1-2 kills puts the team out of sync. If you're way ahead I can see how people feel like the blockers on top of the Primeval and Envoys can be a pain but it would just be a breeze if they weren't there. It makes it interesting that you know a game isn't over. Equally, you need incentive to keep the other team from just quitting.

    After hearing Gary had managed to drop it yesterday, I was really hoping that more of us would get it, including me. Turned on last night and whilst saying Hi to everyone just entered a Gambit match on my own. Servitor spawned whilst 1-0 up, panic stations, then we dropped it just before the other team. So happy to drop it. I'll get the video on here shortly. It's a pretty long quest and a hard one at that. Gotta make sure you don't lose many motes and also the Corrupted strike is over 580. There's also a current glitch that you can start the Corrupted strike with 6 players - they've put a warning out there saying it may cause issues as it hasnt been tested but to me thats just cos they don't want us saying 6 player strikes is what we want!

    The Malfeasance is an exotic Hand Cannon that is connected to The Drifter and Gambit. To get the quest, we've now started to see it drop from Gambit when a Special Servitor that looks like the Voice of Riven final boss of the main Forsaken story campaign. Its complete RNG if it spawns in but it will be in the winning round and you must defeat it (and the other team) for the Quest to drop. From there, the steps are as follows: Visit the Drifter in the Tower Defeat 25 Taken bosses or mini-bosses in the Dreaming City Complete "The Corrupted" Deposit Motes (dropped Motes temporarily subtract x2) Invade opponents in Gambit and defeat 25 opposing Guardians; also, defeat four opposing Guardians as an invader OR have an ally invader defeat four opposing Guardians in a single invasion three times

    I always play Search and Destroy on Core. Other than that I too struggle on other game modes. I think you just mentioned away from here that Blackout (Battle Royale) is hardcore which makes sense. I think there's so much riding on Blackout that they're probably hoping most people won't notice. I've seen enough on Blackout alone to give it a go. With SnD hopefully in the game too then I am certain to get it when I get the money.

    So we sent a few more packages recently to some FGers.@Dan94 chose his winnings from the World Cup fun we had, someone up North has had a packaged delivered whilst an American FGer has been able to play Forsaken now. They'll be another little Feel Good something to be sent over the weekend. Suffice to say this will be last for a while now as I'm also below 0 but it's all been worth it [emoji8][emoji173] Thanks to the few of you that donated and kept us doing this. Here's hoping we can do this again over the next few months for other FG peeps. GGFG

    Thought I'd ask as I'm sitting in TGI Fridays right now [emoji16] Due to the way my family like mainstream simple food and one of my kids we have to take bread & butter sandwiches wherever we go, places like TGIs and Frankie & Bennys work for us. My personal choice is KFC as I bloody love that chicken. Wife is a veggie so don't have it a lot but good news is my Daughter is growing up to love it like me [emoji39]
