  1. Nice to hear! Make sure you do play some more of it, I'd be interested to know what your best and worst bits are about it as Forsaken takes the game to a whole new level.
  2. They've just confirmed Blackout will be capped at 120fps. My initial thought was that it's gotta get to 120 first! I do want it to be good though. I feel most others feel the same even if they don't say it. Everyone wants their "old" CoD back.
  3. From Masterwork cores from Spider bounties to Lost Sector names over them once found these are fantastic QoL updates we probably didn't expect this soon. I also think the Nightfall Unique Strike Loot increased chances after each NF is a great addition - this should be something that people should chase more often, some great new weapons added into that pool.
  4. So October has 2 patch updates - both have some really good underrated Quality of Life changes you should know about. Festival of the Lost also starts 16th October. Patch 2.0.4 - October 16th Added the ability to hover over Lost Sectors to see their name once a player has looted them Players can now track up to three pursuits Added Through Fire and Flood, Zenobia D, and Crooked Fang-4fr to the world Legendary pool— Edge Transit will have some company Increasing Scout Rifle damage in PvE and against non-player enemies in Gambit Fixed a bug where Prime Engrams were going straight to the Postmaster at the end of Crucible matches; they will now show alongside other end-of-match rewards Added transmat effects to Collections, under the Flair category Tracking for acquired transmat effects began with the launch of Forsaken on September 4; transmat effects gained (inventory or Postmaster), used, or dismantled after that date will be unlocked in Collections Transmat effects are unlocked when added to player inventory, NOT when you gain ships that have them pre-socketed We have identified a very rare issue where the Gambit invasion portal will not reactivate once used, and we are currently developing a fix We are developing a fix for an issue where One Thousand Voices may cause loud screeching audio when fired while strafing or jumping Patch 2.0.5 - currently planned for October 30th Rebalancing functionality of Distribution/Dynamo perks, requiring players to be near opponents for Super energy benefits Slightly increasing Sword damage in PvE to address player feedback Slightly increasing Fusion Rifle damage in PvE Increasing viability of Malfeasance in PvE and Gambit activities Adjusting visibility of the Titan’s Banner Shield, making it easier for players to see through the effects Adjusting Exotic rewards to help reduce the number of duplicate drops Players may still receive duplicates, but there will be better chances for Forsaken exotics when receiving Exotic rewards The chance for a Nightfall Unique Reward to drop will increase each time a Nightfall is completed without a unique drop Adding Masterwork Cores as rewards for specific Spider “Wanted” bounties and general Scrapper bounties Reducing the time for single-shader deletion from your inventory We are developing a fix for an issues where a team will defeat the Ascendant Primeval Servitor, but the opposing team receives credit for the kill
  5. Been thinking for a while as many of us are on Destiny atm, we should take advantage of Private Matches every now and again. If you do let us know here and also what type of things would you want to play? White guns only? Shotguns only? Supers only? Survival? Control? Also, if we had enough interest we could a few teams of 4 together and little internal tournament if you guys wanted to? We'll definitely do this when Gambit Private Matches come along but this could be a good laugh in the meantime. Thoughts everyone?
  6. I didn't watch both games but I have seen Salah this year and I called it early doors that he felt like a one season wonder. He doesn't look anywhere near his best and they need that extra magic sometimes to get through games like Napoli. I just wonder when it comes to the crunch who will step up for Liverpool now.
  7. This looks incredible. Definitely have to make that a fortress Phil!
  8. I don't think he'll go. I'd actually like them to persist with him for the whole season though. They have to get back to finding someone they can back and stick with through thick and thin. I do believe they'll get back on track. They have enough quality to turn it around.
  9. I think @amnotright and @stretch616 are watching it. I hope McGregor wins actually. Whilst the guy has a 26-0 record, the sport needs him to shine.
  10. Update anticipated to be on October 30th, will make a number of changes to Gambit: ☆ Sleeper ammo reduced from 4 to 2 ☆ Sword ammo increased from 6 to 12 ☆ Malfeasance boss to spawn more regularly across the board. Will be still less in weakest and middle curse weeks. Week 3 will be far more often ☆ Vanity items that were guaranteed drops from subsequent Malfeasance bosses now won't be a guaranteed drop ☆ Quitter penalties re-enabled, however will be a few more games before penalties are incurred I think these changes are a good start. Not ground-breaking by any means but they shouldn't be as the game mode has been relatively successful. Sleeper changes will be welcome, I think this will mean we see far more snipers and rockets going forward - I actually fancy getting Merciless out for the boss for a change. Any thoughts?

    FIFA 19

I'm tempted. Glad I haven't got funds atm or it would be mine already. I've been itching for us to have a proper FG Pro Clubs team here, especially because we have quite a lot that enjoy footy games and others that could bring some newbies into the FG fold.
  12. I'll try and give it another go over the weekend. Maybe on my own though to see if my concentration levels do any better.
  13. Emulation *shudders* [emoji23] Everyone that knows me here would say I'm just a sucker for original and physical stuff rather than emulators. There isn't really anything wrong with them, I just find there's far more nostalgia and feel good that comes out of a night of retro gaming when I'm blowing the cartridge free of dust and putting it into my consoles. If there was a way of getting us altogether to play my old consoles I'd do it in a heartbeat. Next best option is our trip to Manchester's Arcade Club in November [emoji16]
  14. This has been going better than I expected. Definitely not as sweaty as you imagine. I'm not concerned if we lose at all but funnily enough we haven't lost many. (That's down to the others though, not me [emoji23]) The second part of Luna's Howl is tons of kills with a Hand Cannon in competitive. By slowing my play down slightly, I'm actually finding that they aren't too bad. I'm still an AR or Pulse Rifle player but the Ace of Spades is a pretty solid pick - especially as the radar stays up whilst you're ADSing and kill clip stays permanently active for next 6 shots. Anyone else fancy this? Honestly, the grind isn't too bad if we have FG parties [emoji847]
  15. Thanks for sharing. We'd rather put detail here in separate threads than do the old copy/paste trick to just go and read Reddit. I don't read Reddit, just can't understand how conversations work on there. On the odd occasion I click a link to see a sentence to grab and share here which is the best way forward if we want this place to be the place to go for our needs. [emoji106] P.S. I think we have quite a few of them covered - have you checked to see which ones haven't and then could start separate ones for those? Just a thought [emoji847]
  16. We didn't need to all use it. Because of Gambit most people have ensured their Sleeper is there most powerful Heavy weapon. I'm pretty sure, Whisper, D.A.R.C.I., Two Tailed Fox, Sleepless, Tractor Cannon followed by Void Super and more will all work. Tbh, any bosses in the Destiny franchise or other games for that matter, you end up having a couple of go to Heavy weapons regardless. I think this is more of a comment for that you had a Sword on for the whole of the Shuro Chi boss and Chris was probably making that point obvious a few hundred times more than needed! [emoji23][emoji23]
  17. Didn't expect it at all last night but when a few of the guys called Raid, we gave the Last Wish a go. One-phased Kalli super quickly and after that, learnt Shuro Chi (2nd Boss) reasonably quickly and managed to get her down after around 5/6 attempts. Thanks for the run @Capn_Underpants @SensaiNemesis @Amnotright @crispymorgan @igotmollywhopped Apologies I was quite too, just got stuff on atm. Impressions of the raid so far is that it is one of the best, if not the best encounters created that I've attempted. The mechanics you still have to get down but it's not too technical enough to distract you away from the fact you still have a huge boss to defeat that needs a ton of damage to be dealt. I think we should be aiming for FGers to be around 570 at least to make the first 2 encounters doable whilst challenging.
  18. Never thought you'd say that! You have played a ton of it though. Your comments keep reminding me to ensure I try and get a team of us to go in when I want to play a game of Gambit. My solo experiences have been pretty decent so far but I've only had a handful of games on my own so it could get worse.
  19. Hi there Sean, nice to see a new face here! Really good intro as others have said, you're hitting definitely hitting my sweet spot with retro games as I collect and love playing all my old games when I can around grouping up on PS4 and PC with the people here. Can't beat playing the Mega Drive with Wiz n Liz for a bit and then switch to Mario Kart on the SNES. You own many old consoles then? We did have a retro section but I collapsed it as it felt like it didn't have enough traction. You're tickling me to get it back though as its a personal preference of mine. Welcome to FG mate - really hope you enjoy the stay and get involved where you can!
  20. Nice to finally get back on this. It's sure addictive as hell to just do 'one more lap'. I managed a 2:12 something for my first night which I've got be happy with. I may go back to the Lambo Huracan as moving to the McLaren that Greeboth used, whilst it's quicker it really is hard to control. Oversteer is a bitch in that! I really need to go sub 2.10 more regularly otherwise I'll just feel like I can't make any inroads into those top times you guys already have.
  21. Yeah, gutted tbh for you guys, I expected out of @wapntake @Mazzer66 @Plumbrodders and yourself to get something. At least Rodders got one!
  22. Nice one Travis, I've always wanted to give more time with the Competitive Playlist but being brutally honest, been worried that people take it too sweaty. We all want to win but if I lose, it ain't the end of the world. Still gotta have fun and I've seen that this playlist shouldn't have to be too sweaty. I know there's quite a lot here that would definitely be up for some Comp PvP play. From the top of my head I'd have thought these people may consider comp play: @crispymorgan @Stretch616 @Bluebear @techno @Amnotright @LordBaguette @SyntaxMonstr @Sofaman @tronic44 There's probably others but I know Competitive PvP isn't for everyone.
  23. I don't think the catch up is that bad at all. The underlying issue I think here is that it is the old argument linking to solo vs team play. It's on the Competitive Playlist so some co-ordination is needed in order to win consistently. Datto said it himself in his recent video very well - you can't solo win a game. You just can't. You have moments that change the game but all 4 need to pull their weight. I also don't think there's any dodgy play in the team that is 1-0 down plays better because of different enemies, etc. Prime example is look at ourselves. The amount of times we go behind whilst we're having a laugh and then go "oh shit, better play a little" [emoji23]. You don't see it much in Crucible as most modes are one round. We've seen this a lot in Overwatch, sometimes you need a kick in the arse to play better [emoji39] However, if this is true then sucks ass. They've never said this and it's always been a progessional rank system that rewards you further if you win, not 0 if you lose. It's not a deal breaker to the gamemode but it's the first disappointing part I've heard to this gamemode so far.
  24. LOLZ. Felt really bad for you dude. Ran through 5 people to get their first Escalation Protocol Shotgun - @Stretch616 @crispymorgan @NCA-Paendrag @Bluebear @DarkArch3typ3 but nothing for Gary 🙈😂 (that's karma for you getting the first FGer to get Malfeansance quest 😁) As always a really good thing to do with 6-9 of us each week for an hour or so. Won't be long until Bungie release a new Triumph to beat EP on 2 FPS 😂
  25. Absolutely. Most endgame activities will be completed with this shotgun.
