  1. Happy birthday @techno Gary!! Hooe it's a good one and dont ever forget, there's no limit to what you can do today 😎😘
  2. I think it's purely because its been delayed far later than expected. If it came out earlier than other open world games last year sometime, then I think it would be nearer an 8/10. People these days want games to wow them a ton and do something different. I think it will have some wow elements in the campaign but nothing new to learn from an open world zombie shooter. I might pick it up on sale but as there is no multiplayer it will have to be getting some seriously good rep from anyone here for me to think about buying it at full price.
  3. Said very early on that Sheff Utd were my favourites and they seem like they will go and do it. Chris Wilder is a very underrated manager and needs more credit than he gets. As much as it may mean they have a slither of a chance at the title, Norwich have Rovers on Saturday night. My heart wants to see us get 5 wins on the bounce, but they only need a point and we seem to always be willing to help teams when they need it most 🙈
  4. 100% this. Didn't think so before this season but their fans clearly have shown their true colours over the season. Nearly on par with Newcastle.
  5. Great updates above and all down to your great thread @Spacedeck. My gaming started far earlier than the days when I was bought my first PC (see my OG post in PPR for that) but I think my first ever online experience was on a dial up talktalk connection with Delta Force. It had a help guide that went over your keyboard so you knew which buttons to press and I managed to get a few sniper kills from afar with connection lagging all over the place. I used to keep playing offline with PC games like Hitman, incredibly hard and got past about 5 or 6 levels whilst playing Championship Manager (PC) and Super Mario Kart (SNES) round @Findmartin's house. The next online experience that pretty much solidified my console love as the beautiful Xbox and Xbox live. Having to live with an amazing Grandad most of my life that was just like my Dad meant he got a better connection with Sky and I ended up on a couple of games initially - Rainbow 6 (yes, the one where your team would listen to set commands) and Halo 2. Both games were incredible online, the trolling was an experience to hear, especially when I could hold my own and won games regularly in TDM and Control. Xbox Live was possibly the best thing to happen to me. It doubled my games overnight as back then, games would have fantastic offline modes and then an incredible online experience. Links 2004 (golf game) was possibly the best one I was for being really good. I could race through 18 hole courses in minutes scoring birdies and eagles on every hole. The connection meant I stayed loyal to Microsoft and got a 360. Played even more online. Then met the wife and going from a gaming front room with 4/5 TVs, all my consoles everywhere to nothing was...strange. but it's what I needed to grow up a little. Come 7 years later, family created, house owned, mum bought me a PS4 after not ever having to buy me anything expensive over the years. I cried my eyes out, played for about a year with work peeps and then Destiny happened. Seen Stretch play it via a Facebook like. And then it's been FG ever since. Best. Ever. Place.
  6. Theres a YouTube star called Zak King that my lad watches and hes brilliant with his videos and trickery. Not exactly the same magic tricks but great to watch nonetheless.
  7. Someone was in telly the other day arguing that 3 rich French families have given a ton of money to restore it and she felt they should've done it anonymously. I really don't see the problem in the fact they get a little publicity. Has anyone else got that money to give? I still dont know who they are so if it was such a big deal then wouldn't we here about them more? Another little example of the current PC culture imo.
  8. Oh I totally know that I'm the minority, I kinda like Jack of all trades, master of fuck all games. Equally, I now know how it feels like to be @phil bottle and his love for Fallout 76 It just goes to show, not all 'Games As A Service' can be saved after a god awful launch period. RIP.
  9. Like most of the past decade of gaming, it'll likely come down to who gets the best exclusives.
  10. Happy birthday Batman!! @SensaiNemesis Have a glorious day buddy 🍺😎🦇👍
  11. I finally got to watch it a little earlier today and it was as you said. It was a good setup for many of the characters and lots of things I felt could go either way whether they live or die.
  12. I will be doing a bit of Destiny tonight and then because i'm away for Easter in sunny Great Yarmouth 'll have a look at next week and potentially put out a few set times. It can be just like @techno said, a fixed time where we do as much and learn as much as we can regardless how short or far we get through a raid. I'm open to do all of them btw, I would imagine most are the same as we haven't really got many completions in all of them.
  13. Ofc, I'd love to help as usual. I know others wanted to and this was part of my reason as to why I put my post out - and it looks promising that we will do some good stuff over the coming weeks. (However, he's just left the clan. EDIT: He seems to be back now.)
  14. We're all good buddy: • Leviathan Raid / Raid Lair - 300 Power Level • Spire of Stars Raid Lair - 370 Power Level • Spire of Stars Prestige Raid Lair - 380 Power Level • Last Wish Raid - 550 Power Level • Scourge of the Past raid - 640 Power Level
  15. What a game. Well deserved for Spurs but I thought they blew it after taking the lead twice. Son is an incredible player, I think he's close to Player of the Year at this rate. As Dave says though, letshope they can cope without him in the first leg. Just need a Spurs vs Barca final and that would be ace to watch...Harry Kane scoring the winner in a 3-1 finale 😎
  16. DriveClub for me was just the perfect mix of Sim and Arcade. When you go too Sim and realistic, it's kinda difficult for some people to have just a random lolz night on it as its gets a little more 'serious' - that's why I see a few people just turn off. Id play all of them regardless but you can see why GTA has always been the best in the past for a night of racing fun for FG.
  17. You're totally right, it's not. However, this move is on the back of a 30k strong focus group that said people will 'reluctantly' have to move away from physical purchases. This version of the current gen is an early view of where Microsoft want to go so I'm now not going to surprised when the next gen xbox comes out in 2020/21 with no CD tray whatsoever. (Or what will happen is they'll also make a CD tray version available at an extra cost at the same time - I hope fucking not).
  18. If I wanted to buy digital only I'd own a PC, hang on... It's pretty ignorant if you ask me that whilst the current (new) generation of gamers mostly play on Digital only, the nostalgia and market for physically owned games is still huge. And that market would be a lucrative one if they stayed in it.
  19. Development kits have been accelerated so Game developers can get their head into the new equipment so I'm hopeful this will have a bunch of releases. The kicker which will make a ton of people happy is backward compatibility with PS4. I think they had no option there but to make it happen. I want to know how games will work in terms of patches and updates. If its too much like PCs (well, we're pretty much there now) then it'll be one of the first times I don't look to buy the current gen console available. Not gonna lie though, my heart has always wanted the xbox to bring back their amazing xbox live and exclusive game list they had on the original xbox and the 360.
  20. This 100%. Start a brand new thread @yoshikoh and let us know abit of about yourself and what games you play. Welcome to FG btw 😎
  21. The Forever Gaming Intelligence or The FGI for short What's Freelancers main objective @phil bottle? I'd go with exploration and potentially bounty hunters if we were able to pretty active.
  22. I'll have to have a real think about this as I can't remember much these days! I'll check my PPR too and see if that jogs my memory, definitely was the Xbox Live that made me alive in the Online world, a little PC online before that but didn't fully understand it back then.
  23. Only cos you couldn't win these like GTA races 😀
  24. Happy birthday Dave! @bluffin109!! Hope you had a great day and enjoy shooting some Vex in the face 😎
  25. That's a great shout. They have nothing to lose if they do that. Totally agree. It's the one internal concern I have about many games that I hope they can figure out a persistent way of making online worlds available in an offline mode at the very least. I think we should have a few revival nights before it has a slow and painful death. 😪
