  1. DriveClub for me was just the perfect mix of Sim and Arcade. When you go too Sim and realistic, it's kinda difficult for some people to have just a random lolz night on it as its gets a little more 'serious' - that's why I see a few people just turn off. Id play all of them regardless but you can see why GTA has always been the best in the past for a night of racing fun for FG.
  2. You're totally right, it's not. However, this move is on the back of a 30k strong focus group that said people will 'reluctantly' have to move away from physical purchases. This version of the current gen is an early view of where Microsoft want to go so I'm now not going to surprised when the next gen xbox comes out in 2020/21 with no CD tray whatsoever. (Or what will happen is they'll also make a CD tray version available at an extra cost at the same time - I hope fucking not).
  3. If I wanted to buy digital only I'd own a PC, hang on... It's pretty ignorant if you ask me that whilst the current (new) generation of gamers mostly play on Digital only, the nostalgia and market for physically owned games is still huge. And that market would be a lucrative one if they stayed in it.
  4. Development kits have been accelerated so Game developers can get their head into the new equipment so I'm hopeful this will have a bunch of releases. The kicker which will make a ton of people happy is backward compatibility with PS4. I think they had no option there but to make it happen. I want to know how games will work in terms of patches and updates. If its too much like PCs (well, we're pretty much there now) then it'll be one of the first times I don't look to buy the current gen console available. Not gonna lie though, my heart has always wanted the xbox to bring back their amazing xbox live and exclusive game list they had on the original xbox and the 360.
  5. This 100%. Start a brand new thread @yoshikoh and let us know abit of about yourself and what games you play. Welcome to FG btw 😎
  6. The Forever Gaming Intelligence or The FGI for short What's Freelancers main objective @phil bottle? I'd go with exploration and potentially bounty hunters if we were able to pretty active.
  7. I'll have to have a real think about this as I can't remember much these days! I'll check my PPR too and see if that jogs my memory, definitely was the Xbox Live that made me alive in the Online world, a little PC online before that but didn't fully understand it back then.
  8. Only cos you couldn't win these like GTA races 😀
  9. Happy birthday Dave! @bluffin109!! Hope you had a great day and enjoy shooting some Vex in the face 😎
  10. That's a great shout. They have nothing to lose if they do that. Totally agree. It's the one internal concern I have about many games that I hope they can figure out a persistent way of making online worlds available in an offline mode at the very least. I think we should have a few revival nights before it has a slow and painful death. 😪
  11. This is really REALLY cool. So essentially you have a bunch of personalised rooms/habitats that will be able to store a ton of random stuff, including weapons and armour eventually. Would be also good to understand when others are in your game, whether or not your mate can grab a coffee too or something moveable and take for themselves? Either way pretty damn awesome.
  12. A fire has broken out at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, with firefighters attempting to contain the blaze which police said began accidentally and could be linked to renovation work at the site. The spire of the medieval cathedral collapsed after flames burst through the roof, and smoke can be seen billowing from the famous monument as a huge plume of smoke rests above the 850-year old Gothic building.
  13. Here's all the brand sets on a great infographic made by u/Storm_Worm5364 on Reddit. Be interested what you're all going after and which ones you might already have.
  14. May even check my the online trophies I haven't got and give it a final swansong

  16. I've been thinking for a while now it would be ace just to get back into Destiny and get a group of us together to revive what we started. This is for anyone btw, I want people to feel like they can be part of a group that are just wanting to learn the current raids out there, see how far we get and it doesn't matter if we don't finish them. @reaper-2201 (Rob) nudged me a few weeks back to try and get a raid going as well but I think we've all needed that break from it. Surprisingly though, when other games are on I know after a while I could easily switch on Destiny and do something fun and I hope there's people out there that want to do this too. There's no pressure involved in this. Just want to get discussions going and see how many people want to run this kind of stuff still. I'm also up for reviving Destiny 1 but I think we should take baby steps as the xmas party up didn't go as well as we'd hoped. Remember, its about patience and working together no matter how long stuff takes us. The more we practice I try stuff it will be fun and we'll eventually get lots of the endgame content down to a fine art. Who's still playing and interested and who's not playing atm but willing to be involved in partying up?
  17. The first few runs may be hard but your body will soon remember those muscle movements and you'll absolutely be back near where you was with another 2 to 3 runs. It's funny how the body remembers, unless you've let yourself go to the land of "surgery is only gonna help that". My football training for an hour has been cancelled a few times in the past month which was disappointing but I've also picked up another night of footy helping a friend out on a 5-a-side. That's been really hard going as it's a harder tempo with less people around but I do feel better...3 days later!
  18. That's kinda how I've felt about him (and Messi in a player form to an extent). You can't deny he's got his teams playing brilliant football and won a lot of trophies all over the world. I suppose if you've done that why does he need to prove anything at a lesser funded club? I just think it would put him on a shelf where no one could touch him if he could. That's why I have major respect for Poch at Spurs. Built a good side over the years and it's not all about the money you have to spend on transfers.
  19. I've ignored what you've said Greevs as I'm watching it tonight! Cant believe the 2 year wait is over!
  20. Happy birthday to Mr McGee @TheReverend!! Hope you have a top day buddy 😎
  21. This would be pretty cool to see.
  22. That's an ace read Doc! Maybe he was planning some Easter bonanza with the neighbours? 🐇 Please keep these coming if you're allowed to share them. And I'll echo Plumber Dave's message of congratulations on the promotion, Sir. Top work.
  23. Some of the armour ornaments look pretty cool for this event. They're trying to get nearer to the awesome armour ornaments we saw in all the D1 Raids when they were reprised at the end of Year 3. Arbalest, the new exotic Fusion Rifle is kinda not a quest which is disappointing although it is pretty clear what you have to do to get the weapon from Eva Levante. The Winter event was done really well so for once, I'm looking forward to this free event. If they can make the Infinite Forest resin feel new then they will be on the right track again with content.
  24. The Revelry begins on Tuesday, April 16 and ends on Tuesday, May 7. THE REVELRY Apr 10, 2019 - Destiny Dev Team “Spring is in the air, Guardians! It’s time to kick up your heels, celebrate, and break a few rules! The people of the City love this time of year, and I wanted to share their joy with you, my good friends. Come to the Tower. Smell the flowers. And revel in all we have together.”—Eva Levante The Revelry is a new event available to all Destiny 2 players that celebrates the joy of Spring. The Tower is overflowing with colorful arrangements, and Eva Levante has a new activity for you to enjoy with new rewards to claim. But that's just the beginning—the celebration spans across the solar system, offering ways for your character to feel more powerful in every activity Destiny 2 has to offer. Verdant Forest The Revelry grants you access to the Verdant Forest. It may conjure up memories of the Haunted Forest from Festival of the Lost, but you’ll find it in bloom to fit the season—and in combat, you’ll discover new twists to fight through. The objective is to clear as many rooms as possible. The more spaces you clear, the more time you’ll have to defeat the onslaught of five different bosses and claim your reward. If you want to fight with a team, you can bring one with you or let us matchmake one for you. If you want to go it alone, it will be dangerous, but that choice is available to you as well. Abilities and Orbs The Revelry is a chance for every Guardian to break the rules about how Light is wielded as a weapon. When you first visit the Tower, Eva Levante will grant you a Reveler’s Tonic. Fill your tonic with Reveler’s Essence by killing bosses in the Verdant Forest or completing other activities. Three different tonics will reduce the cooldown of your grenades, melee, or class ability. Choose which buff you prefer and let the sparks fly. The more pieces of Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor you equip, the more potent the tonic will be. The powerful effect applies to every activity in the game except Private Matches. Revelers will even be more dangerous in the Crucible. The Reveler’s Tonic is not the only way you’ll increase your output of space magic during this event. Everywhere in the game, Orbs have the chance of being generated by precision kills. The best place to create tons of Orbs will be in the Verdant Forest, as that's where they'll drop most often. Rewards The Revelry will feature the new Inaugural Revelry armor set. You can earn pieces of this set by defeating bosses in the Verdant Forest. The more bosses you defeat, the greater your chances to receive a drop. Eva will also have five weekly bounties that award Inaugural Revelry armor as a powerful drop. Each piece of the set you equip will boost the effect of your Reveler’s Tonic. You can also turn in the Reveler’s Essence you earn through activities to Eva in exchange for packages containing assorted rewards, including world drops, Enhancement Cores, and ornaments for the Inaugural Revelry helmet. Each ornament will grow in size depending on how many pieces of Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor you have equipped. Are you in need of some extra firepower? Complete Triumphs and turn in Reveler’s Essence to Eva to earn a new Exotic Kinetic Fusion Rifle, Arbalest. It’s the first weapon of its kind and does extra damage against enemy shields. Double Drops Similar to other recent events, Bright Engram drops will be doubled. Players at max level (depending on what content they have access to) will receive both a Bright Engram and a Revelry Engram every time they level up. There will also be a “knock-out” list for the Revelry Engram, preventing you from receiving duplicates until you’ve earned all the new items.
