  1. I feel like we were always going to have a quiet 1 or 2 months after a big couple of months of better games. I imagine they'll be another decent couple of games in a further 1-2 months. EDIT: Now seeing the Metacritic and user scores these games aren't as bad as you might usually think, probably because they aren't big AAA names. Games this month btw are as follows: What Remains of Edith Finch Metacritic score - 88 User Score - 8.2 Overcooked Metacritic score - 78 User Score - 7.8 What Remains of Edith Finch Trailer Overcooked Trailer
  2. Villa looking the strongest as predicted by many before it. I'm waiting to see if Leeds bottle it again in the return leg against Derby.
  3. We managed to do one whole raid last week which was bloody fantastic. Especially considering it was helping @crispymorgan's son AJ, 11 and is mate who was the same age. @Plumbers Crack also got his maiden Leviathan completed and top effort for @Diddums, @techno, @Kemp210 helping across two nights to get it done. I haven't forgotten to put more raids on yet - time isn't on my side this week with work and family commitments but I'll plan another few in for due course. Don't forget, it doesn't have to just be me! You guys start a raid with a few hours and see how you get on! I'm enjoying just trying without any pressure of anyone to get it done - we'll get as far as we can together. GGFG.
  4. Well, this feels like a brand new game all over again. I know, I know, shame we had to wait a year for it to happen but with the changes seen last night when we played as a crew it was definitely a fuller world and some top loot all over the shop. The nice little additions with harpoons and the fishing rods (haven't a clue yet how to do properly) are really great. We seem to also pick up far more random quests along the way. Definitely what was needed and can now see me playing this alongside my main games. A little pic from last night. After that we ended up picking 4 more skulls far a super hard fight - @Diddums was clearly happy with the Phat Lootz.
  5. From the SoT Website: A New Golden Age Begins Marking a year of unbridled pirate adventure, Sea of Thieves presents the Anniversary Update: an expanded and enriched experience that builds on last year’s maiden voyage in a whole range of game-changing ways. The Anniversary Update brings you more ways to embrace the pirate life than ever before, including a host of new gameplay features and two major additions in the form of The Arena and Tall Tales - Shores of Gold. Follow immersive new quests, fish and cook for your crew and engage in thrilling contests of skill! Both Sea of Thieves and its legendary community are growing – now’s the perfect time to set sail. A GRAND ADVENTURE TO THE SHORES OF GOLD Tall Tales - Shores of Gold introduces a new epic storyline to the world of Sea of Thieves, delving deeper into the lore of our favourite pirate paradise. Follow a series of narrative adventures surrounding existing and all-new characters, taking you to undiscovered places and revealing surprising new gameplay features. Fans of the expanded game universe will recognise some of the iconic characters and locations in Shores of Gold, yet this is only the beginning of a series of Tall Tales that will allow players to immerse themselves in the legends of Sea of Thieves. GLORY AWAITS IN THE ARENA The Arena allows you to get straight to the heart of the action in the new competitive mode. Pit your ship and your crew against others in a distinct game mode which will continue to grow in parallel to the Sea of Thieves adventure experience. Trust in your crew and prove your prowess in a purely competitive setting. After a vicious battle, share a grog with your rivals in the Glorious Sea Dog tavern, home to a new Trading Company led by the heroes of the Sea of Thieves comic series! HEAR THE HUNTER’S CALL The Hunter’s Call is an all-new type of Trading Company that brings long-awaited fishing and cooking capabilities to the Sea of Thieves! Led by the returning wanderer Merrick, The Hunter’s Call offers gold and cosmetic rewards, as well as another path to Pirate Legend in exchange for your best prizes and food. Master the art of fishing from shore and from ship, hunt animals and monsters for their meat and cook up delicious (or occasionally poisonous) food. TREACHEROUS WATERS The Anniversary Update also brings along various world improvements to enhance the core experience. Expanded ship damage means that your beloved vessel can suffer a broken mast, capstan or even wheel, meaning that sailing and escaping battle could get very tricky indeed. Meanwhile, the arrival of the harpoon means that treasure can be nabbed by a skilled enemy and ships can make some surprising manoeuvres. Don’t get comfortable on land either! New and terrifying foes arrive in Shores of Gold – figures arising from legend, packing deadly surprises. Even simple exploration comes with additional risk thanks to traps that must be carefully navigated to avoid disaster. The Sea of Thieves can be a perilous place for the unwary…
  6. Recent update - New Map is called Havana. Havana, a vibrant, historic port city where the winds of change blow strong, is home to Overwatch’s newest Escort map! Begin your trip at the Taller de Sebastián, where the classic cars that line Havana’s bustling streets stop for refueling and repair. Escort a truck of rum barrels on the sun-drenched cobblestone roads, fighting off those who try to stop you. As you make your way, duck into a colorful building to escape enemy fire and savor the impressive flavors of Havana at La Cocina de Miranda or Café del Sol. Battle your opponents through the alleys until you reach the Don Rumbotico rum distillery, a once little-known local treasure that has recently earned international acclaim. Finally, guide the jalopy through the distillery to its destination at the Havana Sea Fort, a historical landmark recently purchased by an anonymous financial group and closed to the public. All-Star Skins To celebrate the Overwatch League 2019 All-Stars, we’re adding two new Legendary skins— 2019 Atlantic All-Star Mercy and 2019 Pacific All-Star Lúcio! These skins will be available from May 7th to May 22nd. BUG FIXES Maps - Havana Fixed text errors on Taller de Sebastián and several posters Fixed a bug where players would slide along the bottom of the pillars and the wall corners on the second floor of La Euforia Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on the Yucca plants
  7. Seems an intersting one for sure. I wonder how quick the delay is though to complete a said task as essentially its like a mini-macro service. Definitely could help in strategy games for sure where there's a million buttons to remember.
  8. Yes, it would be disappointing for them, but arguably just because of how many points they have doesn't mean they deserve to 'win' something. Over the years you could've pulled out a number of teams that played consistently well throughout the year and was just pipped at the end, Newcastle being one of them (good old Kevin Keegan). Thats the great thing about football, nothing is ever guaranteed and you still have to deliver on that final day and moment. Respect to them regardless. I'm sure most will be issuing a sigh of relief if they don't win anything...they don't want to listen to scouse fans for the next 20 years again.
  9. Not watch that full video yet but i've heard good things already. Apparently way more about survival and that you can lose health to weather, current surroundings, etc. If so, it makes it feel more nearer to the Rainbow Six of old and maybe more like a Splinter Cell-esque game. I'd really enjoy a full on tactical game, especially with a squad. Nothing stopping Ubisoft of late.
  10. Last episode wasn't as great but how could it be following the great war. Its back to GoT Throne politics which is what the show has always been about but just feels weird because we've had that battle already. Daenaerys is turning very fast, kind of a little too fast but we only have 2 episodes to go now so something big has got to start happening. The big showdown between Jon and Daenaerys perhaps? Jamie is gonna die me thinks now he's going back to Cersei but not sure if he's going to try and kill her or just protect her with his life. I still enjoyed the watch, just not as good as the week before.
  11. Like @Greboth said, its truly a great series but it can be too overhyped. I mean, it should have NEVER been cancelled after one series. Although the first 1 or 2 episodes could feel a little slow, the world they live and Nathan Fillion alone is worth watching it for. Rich - You really need to watch Firefly and it makes you appreciate Serenity even more. I enjoyed it on its own but can understand why some wouldn't get it if they watched it alone. You won't be disappointed. Whats the second series like?
  12. It is. Just wonder how long will this actually take to resolve?
  13. What a couple of days for football. As much as I jest about Liverpool I have respect for them for turning that game round against Barca (yes @Plumbers Crack, I still want English clubs to do well in Europe ). Not sure why Barca didn't turn up at all but clearly got the jitters before the game even started. However for me, Spurs were just magnificent against a real classy Ajax side. They were backs against the wall for a half and then performed amazingly even with Ajax still pulling off some great chances. I'm glad I got to watch that and now I can sit back and support Spurs for the final I just don't know why Liverpool fans can't be happy for coming runners-up in 2 competitions?
  14. Great idea @Dan94 (should add that to our suggestions tracker! )
  15. This is a brilliant watch and explains a lot of the decisions, back stories, and how the characters arc went the way they have. A lot of respect for these two. Unbelievable vision. @TigerBurge Chris, this explains the post credits noise. After watching other videos and info bits on how it was made, I think Captain Marvel seemed as hollow as she was because she admittedly shot this movie before her own movie. I dont believe she even knew how she was supposed to be portrayed in her own one so I imagine that didnt help how she needed to come across.
  16. No, no he was wrong. Sorry Dave! Tbh, Wolves are the highest non Big 6 club so fair play to that one. Why o why did I think Man Utd 🙈 they started well but lost their way with Mourinho. Villa seem like they could be okay in the playoffs so would be good one kinda right. I also fancied Spurs (@ChaosGladiator didn't 😉) to do well and they've probably proved many wrong considering they held on to the top 2 for as long as they could without any signings whatsoever.
  17. You didn't click the video did you...... I'll await your reply once you've watched all the minutes
  18. It's why I watch GMB on ITV. Yeah, Piers can be a nob sometimes but at least they are more light hearted and have hilariously stupid things on there to make you laugh rather more serious dulcet tones of the current BBC angle.
  19. Fortnite. I know, I know.
  20. I've literally sat here listening and watching this for far longer than anyone should...
  21. Didn't hear about this at all. Now reading what you guys have put i'm kinda with Phil's point above. If you are in anyway shape or form in the social media spotlight you can't really make any jokes that insinuate racism. Can't even go anywhere near it. I wouldn't go as far as you though Rich, I don't want to see a world where we go too PC we can't do or say anything in fear of getting sacked. A lot of people on the dole which means more of people we have to pay for through our taxes.
  22. Well I missed the chance of getting Arbalest so hopefully will get it in a random world drop in the future. Overall I think it was a fun event, if they have a couple more versions of that infinite forest made, I wouldn't mind it becoming available permanently. The boss phase at the end can get pretty intense trying to kill 5 bosses in such a short space of time. The buffs were fun as hell to use but I think they know for next time just to keep it available for the chosen activity and not everything else (looking at you PvP).
  23. Some great lists above. I'll have to think about others but I can't believe I haven't seen Firefly up there. Granted it was only 1 season but a bloody good one at that and got a great film, Serenity, to follow it up too.
  24. Yep, totally what @tronic44 says! You got this! 👊
  25. Its difficult these days to get hyped about anything because many gamers are goign through the 'oh, its another sequel so we're not allowed to feel good about it in any way'. The talk for a BL3 game has been out there for many months and when the news broker you could see hype was building. I've looked at reviews, seen some gameplay and looked up the MTX crap thats been talked about. Yes, Randy seems like a penis for not being able to admit it cosmetic microtransactions. BUT the gameplay looks polished and far more sleeker than BL2, the colours seem very inviting and the worlds do too. The vanilla campaign apparently has 30 hours of content and then you have replayability factors. That seems enough to me to feel good about this game and maybe it'll capture me when it comes out. We might as well not play games anymore if sequels aren't anything like their predecessors. People buy them because they love the DNA of the game.
