  1. Err, yeah totally all over it 🤓 I haven't got into a routine of using it for some reason. Didn't help i'm last by a mile! I'll put it down as a thing to do now so at least i make those Man Utd subs to get them out of my team ffs.
  2. It was about time we needed a little refresh of sorts for our home to keep it fresh and take the FG baton speeding into 2020. So, I've spent quite a while updating most of the applications and features here but of course, as you can see we now have a nice new feel! Whilst there's still lots to do and updates to be done across many parts of FG still, this is a nice way to go into the Christmas period with a swanky pad befitting all your needs. You'll see you can now directly choose Light or Dark theme at the top without reloading, change the header to your own one on your Profile at FG and even change the theme colour if you want to (our FG red is the default). The videos section is a brand new section to build on, with options to add live streams that you are aware of. We can make collections when required to do so - go and put some reviews on some of the videos here! We also have Articles which is brand new. This is very similar to the blog space we used to have years ago but now its incorporated and if you feel like you have a good lengthy story to tell rather than in a post, lets hear them! You'll see we already have a number up and waiting to be read so dive in and let us know what you think of it all. There's lots more around so i'll let you have a look around and find stuff out, equally any questions please shout up. I'd urge you to go and visit via your browser or PC if you can so you appreciate the full changes. If there's demand we can do some simple guides to navigate, etc. Lots of the pages and spaces we have are due to be fleshed out a ton over the Christmas and New Year period so you have any suggestions as always, please try and use the tracker so we can get some use out of it. You might've noticed I've been a little quiet of late - I appreciate every single one of you being around for my Grandad/Dad (more in my PPR if you need more info). Not enough words can be said for what this family does for each other and i'm forever grateful. Its why I love spending time making our home the best place for all of you and any new FGers that come to stay. Sound off below! GGFG
    What. A. Video. I've missed you 😘😂😂😂
  3. The new Season of Dawn is nearly upon us. And as we get closer to the ‘shortest day of the year’ (22nd December if you wondered) some gamers are struggling with the same lack of daylight we are used to, or content in the case of Destiny 2. A beautiful trailer as always by Bungie displayed less content than some Destiny lovers hoped for. Then the Bungie stream felt even more sparse with information as they attempted to go back to allowing players to find new things on the launch day rather than give every single bit of info out to the general public. Where the problems seem to lie now for Bungie is the capability of being able to meet the evolving expectations of some of the Destiny community to deliver what is seen as new enriched endgame content on a regular quarterly cycle – without the help and support from Activision and studios like Vicarious Visions (who made two very good seasons might I add). I think as soon as the words ‘Raid’, ‘Trials’ and ‘Dungeon’ didn’t feature in the latest information the whole season became a huge let-down for the masses. It's not even here until December 10th. I won’t try and explain Game Development and how hard it is as I haven’t been one. However, I do get system development and releases work which isn’t too far away to game development cycles. You can’t just magic up Raids, new gamemodes and Dungeons within 3 months. You need Requirements, Options, Solutions. Then it’s Build, Test, Build, Test, Build, Test, Fault Fix, Test, Get Ready to Release, etc. Maybe because someone thinks they know exactly what everyone wants they can just build and forget testing it because Benny over here knows best. Things take time and you can’t just turn the ship around if they think the next imminent content is not going to land well. Equally, getting more employees isn't an answer that solves problems overnight. However, going towards the Season model of dropping a portion of content each 3 months will automatically change mentality in how gamers will fundamentally play the game. FOMO can immediately kick in so they rush through content as quick as they can. I've felt this big style. No one is a fan of time-gating content, but hey, with ravenous gamers not taking in any of the time and effort spent on well-made content I can see why they do it. That’s not endorsing it though. They’ve set their own expectations by committing to 4 drops rather than 3 in a Season Pass all with less developers and less income streams. There’s no wonder why Eververse has so many thing on sale for Silver only. They have to continually make money somewhere. ‘Who gives a Rat’s-Ass Thursdays’ Well, seemingly not many players. But that is the world we live in. No matter the fact that Bungie have explained very clearly early doors that content will be readjusted and spread across the season because they can’t build things as quick as they could. No matter the fact that Seasons cost generally less than previous ones and cost approx. £6-7 when you have the pass. No matter the fact we don’t know all the content for the next 3 months as they want people to discover it on their own. No matter the actual content that is being delivered is still considerable when you list it down. No matter…oh you get the point. Datto put it very well immediately after the stream. People don’t care how much effort goes into making good stuff. They just want to know when they’ll get it and is it good. Just like they don’t care how long it him to make a YouTube video or you not caring about me writing this essay. They just want the good shit. Well, if you have those expectations, unfortunately you need to ste; back into the real world. Just because what you want isn’t there doesn’t also mean that the content is bad. We have to be more realistic and start reminding ourselves of what skills we learned or experiences we've had and adapt. Like when you we’re at school and we actually listened to people so we could understand how the world works. Or even if you were a D1 Guardian and played hours and hours when there was dramatically less content AND no regular updates. Just strikes, crucible and a few raids. Good to take stock at these points.
  4. Sweat and skill are intrinsically linked. Like peas in a pod. Or Diddums and Kronenbourg. SBMM is a factor that seems to always spark huge controversy but in reality its always down to how the individual player’s mentality. True, we don’t want to always meet 'Mr. 360noscopeskillzproplus' but at the same time everyone is also very happy to meet 'Joe Noob' that has two thumbs but uses his nose to move around the map. The inner nature of 99% gamers is to win. Every game is a competition and its fun to win. But its when you get caught teetering over on the wrong side of the double-edged Sword needing to win - the next controller is going out the window quicker than the annoying cat stabbing your sofa and then becomes a real issue. I personally think the moaning and criticism of SBMM is a minor point - unless it is abundantly clear you are always coming against Pro MLG players. Playing against better players will make you a better player in longer terms. Fact. For this reason its why I’d rather have two playlists, similar to the Overwatch style that pools players of any skill together in a form of Quickplay and then another pool that SBMM rules. But lets be clear, I don’t care what these rules are in the minutia. "Something, something, rank near players, something" Whatever. They are all much of a muchness and to think a game developer will go out their way to match you in SBMM games against full teams of FPS Ultras if your skill level is lower is utter BS. This all resorts back to mentality though. Players need to be more mentality prepared to enjoy games for what they are. That doesn’t mean you can’t expect more but to be the ultimate sweatfest competitor in general won’t help your game, job and life tactics. Games are made for fun. What creates the sweat is people, not SBMM. Try to win, work as a team, get in the zone, but losing isn’t a bad thing. It helps you learn where you went wrong (yeah, you did) and what you can do to put it right next match. But who am I kidding with all this talk of enjoying the game? People want to win at all costs. And they will always want an excuse. I wouldn’t be surprised if gamers follows football trends and the number one driver turns into making money rather than for the love of the game. On that note we leave that story for another day.
  5. I dont think that's a bad shout tbf. I should've done the same with No Mans Sky before it went back up to £20-25 when it fixed all its shit later down the line. It's worth a punt if they fix it late next year. Just dont buy a pint innit? 🍺
  6. I want to try this but maybe in the new year as I'm not sure I want to lose my playtime and extra time to wrap all the presents late at night! 😂 Also, cant believe Salt is on here. Wife's mother put copius amounts of salt on every. Single. Meal. For that reason I only season chips with salt cos I dont want it to become an addiction for my family like it has for my MIL. 6 hours? So when you say 6 hours does that mean really 8 hours because how long it takes to start REM sleep? I went to bed at just after 1am last night (granted doing FG stuff) and woke up around 6.15am-ish. I'm normally in bed by midnight so just trying to work out if I need extra time to get the sleep pattern right. Great thread and totally want to do this. Nice one @Middle Class Caveman
Great video. Love how intense it was when all the zombies got attracted. Sebba Charge!
  7. That must've been the reason they lost 🙈
  8. Put some times up then when we can all be around. I can't just be there at a drop of the hat so when we had that event last week that was great. I didn't have to party up with you but being around if I had a question and enjoying content with your mates makes pretty much any game enjoyable. Go get some dates Chief!
  9. Never ever thought I'd feel like you two about this but 100% accurate on both counts 😂
  10. I wouldn't say all of his football was boring. Be careful what you wish for too as we had big Sam...at least he kept us in the PL. I think what he realised and now what we're seeing in the players at Man Utd are that they are a very poor team with flashes of individual brilliance. He got the most out of them by getting them into a system to win games. Ole is trying to play the 'nice' football but if you ain't got the players to do it whilst keeping the ball out of your net then you're gonna be a bottom half club. I actually think his Chelsea teams had great teamwork and class alongside a huge desire to win. For what we've seen so far in those 3 games, Spurs looked as dangerous as at their very best under Poch. Scoring 10+ goals ain't bad either. Sometimes beauty is hidden deep within. Give it some time.
  11. I bloody hope not too! The good sign is that clearly they can much easier update and revamp Mercury to be a better place to visit - one major thing people asked to happen which was QoL on existing places. Also we will have Sparrows available too which must mean its bigger. They clearly focused on the one shining light of CoO which was the Saint 14 quest which i bet most people didnt complete or haven't even seen it. Their ability to hook players in on story content is great but they have to back that up now with somehow a near impossible content packed DLC I fear. I expect the new 6 player PvE activity to be a variation that is 1 or 2 steps better than Vex Offensive. It has to be or theyll get canned immediately. Other than that, your thoughts on some of the most interesting and harder challenging content is spot on. The issue is having a fireteam / people to do it with I find. I haven't done any Master Nightfalls or Master Nightmares. I haven't even attempted the new dungeon which I know is great. It's funny how it's gone the opposite way on content cos people got mad there was fuck all to do. Now theres too much to do, people feel lost and dont know what to do or where to start. I'd suggest starting at putting the disc in, helps 😀
  12. You're right. After that he led the team to European glory and also won a domestic cup whilst finishing the best of everyone else behind a near perfect Manchester City team which secured CL football. Also won the Community Shield before that. It's a not much of a trophy but you got to be in it to win it. He lost less than Ole and had less than better players. I think people misread him alot for his early bolshy outlook. I also think hes realised this and we'll start to see a 'nicer' side of Mourinho, more befitting to the social norm people want to see these days.
  13. I actually get the concern. Forgetting fan boy feel about the story it's one of the first times I've been telling myself not to get too upbeat about the season style content. I think that this type of content won't satisfy alot of people that come back to the game and the gamemode has to be better than Vex Offensive for replayability purposes or it'll get rightfully damned. The content will be there and enough for $10 what it's worth but people are changing and wanting even more - not realistic to what the prics they pay and how the game model works. I'm hoping for a game that I can grind but also gives time for other games. I dont think it should be the only game anyone plays, just the one you come back to every month to get your grind in. As for the differences between WoW and this. Well, we both know we have the opposite view of each other with that. All I say on that matter is I'll play both still as this has so many varying game modes that are challenging and worth a go. It's the fact people moved away after the utter shite they released in Year 1 of D2 they it's too grindy again, which it isnt. It's fixed now and well worth the time investment.
  14. I tried to keep expectations in check and not get too hyped. AND THEN THEY BRING SAINT-FUCKING-14 BACK!! Absolute result for me personally on a story level. Let's just hope the game mechanics and story he's involved in doesn't suck donkey dick or I'll be gutted for life.
  15. It's an update to the game adding things you will not be paying for. Sometimes Adam, you confuse the fuck out of me.
  16. New Season reveal below... Fingers, toes and balls crossed for some interesting new info.
  17. Little late to the party and like i texted you at the time, I'm looking forward to you guys lifting the Champions League now 😎 Especially after a god awful start of 3 wins out of 3....
  18. Star Wars sells well in mostly anything it has its logo on so i'm just relieved to see it also has positive reviews as well. I always watched some younger family peeps play KOTOR and was impressed by it all because the story sucks you in if you sit and watch it for a bit. I think I may punt for this as a Crimbo present just to push my boundaries of no Star Wars in the bungalow.
  19. Added to my watch later list Philly, like the fact it has to types of audiences in one with how they play.
  20. Bale and Damon is one of the reasons I want to see this. Good to hear it won't be a disappointment when i get to see it.
  21. Ah okay, not sure i'd get into that as time is sparse sitting on the loo trying to catch up on all you wonderful lot. Not P2W is it?
  22. Not atm Dan. You been having them then? Crossplay issues perhaps?
