Imagine spending $400 on a key of a game that is going to be wiped from existence in a month. 

I'm seeing a lot of ''this game has soooo much potential'' lines from defenders yet there's less features and content than what was advertised in the pre-alpha 3 years ago. It's utterly extraordinary how deluded people are with things like this. It's not even like it's a game from a reputable developer - all their previous work has either been scams or abandoned. People just living off the nonsensical hype of the original fake trailer and other elements that were all plagiarised off legitimate games.  
 
Publishers laughing all the way to the bank.

The Day Before Studio Fntastic Announces Closure Just Days After Early Access Launch - IGN
WWW.IGN.COM Mere days after The Day Before launched in early access, studio Fntastic has announced that it's closing: "The Day Before has failed financially, and we lack the funds to continue."  

The game has been taken down from sale now and the 'developers' have begun scrubbing from existence. 201,000 copies sold and almost 92,000 refunds issued prior to Fntastic's closure. Very bizarre situation - whilst I did expect them to pull the plug early, I didn't foresee if occurring before Valve released the money to them. This opens the doors for store-wide no questions asked refunds back to anyone who bought the game irrespective of the existing refund policy and the developers likely wont even see a penny of the almost $3m holding. 
 
For them to quit before the first pay packet suggests either Valve were holding them to guarantees for a conditional release of the funds or they didn't want to embroil themselves in legality down the line. The evidence against them is beyond overwhelming and damning.  
 
IGN have also just released their review for the final kick in the teeth- first time I've seen them award a 1/10🤣

Imagine spending $400 on a key of a game that is going to be wiped from existence in a month. 

They should probably just move on - the game is never gonna have a No Mans Sky-type turnaround because the core design is so flawed. They'd be better off accepting the feedback and moving onto other games. Unless they are going to remove 950 planets and massively overhaul the handcrafted ones then it'll just be the same old problems with worthless added padding.  

Bethesda have plans for improvements to the game. I've played about 30 hours, it's alright, doesn't blow me away, I may hang back for updates, will see...
 
 

I need to get a better gaming PC so I can rock this with some FGers.  I hope there's a console release coming at some point.

Came across this guys channel. He has several types of videos but his exploring dead games series are the best. He goes back to some older games that still have active servers with little amounts of people on. Gets into some wholesome situations and also gets his discord members to join old games to experience them again. Good watch if you’re working etc. Lots of nostalgia if he happens to visit a game you used to play

If you read the previous Game of the Year topic, you’ll know I’ve been planning this for a week or so! It’s time to start the process and determine the nominees! 
 
Everyone, please respond in this topic with the 5 games you want to nominate for Game of the Year! The only rule is that the game must have originally released in the year 2023 (e.g. if the game released on another console in 2022, but came to your console in 2023, this would not be eligible).
 
I will ‘Stop the count’ on Christmas Day. I will then open a poll after the Christmas break (hopefully the 29th/30th) with all the nominated games. We have a maximum entry of 20 games, so the games with the least amount of nominations will have to miss out if we have more than 20 nominated! So be sure to nominate the our favourite games even if you’ve seen someone else nominate it!

My game of the year easily goes to Sea of Stars.  It was such a great experience that I can't recommend it enough.  And of course, my other 4 choices.  Lol

He has had a good season to be fair and way better than the likes of Rashford, Antony and Fernandes. Those 3 should be first out the door in January or next season. Antony is nothing more than a fidget spinner, Fernandes is good on paper but terrible during big matches and Rashford has faded spectacularly. 

This chap's content is always top notch, his STALKER vids are well worth a watch too
 
 

Yeah as i was typing it i was thinking how ridiculous that sentence sounded but he has been one of our only stand out players.

Dunno really, we're (Spurs) not in any cup competitions, so not that many games, yet still lots of injuries. Maybe the Fergie Time at the end of every game now is contributing?
