  1. Turns out the Steam Deck's final spec is now more impressive than Valve first listed | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Valve corrects the Steam Deck specs page, and its massive memory bandwidth is hugely important for its performance.
  2. Probably nothing significant and there's the added wow factor of seeing huge games being played on a handheld which should override any visual downgrades that do exist. 60fps is also another major factor especially seeing that we've been playing most games 30fps on the PS4/XB1 and those couldn't reach full 1080p potential.
  3. This is a great breakdown I thought I recongised Mark Rubin from COD and now I remember he was the brains behind Ghosts!
  4. I’ve been looking at some of the feedback from content creators along with gamers and oh my god they are not holding back - people are spectacularly pissed with this and Ubisoft. Complaints are rife about a non-existent Splinter Cell, the tacked-on misuse of Tom Clancy’s name and the sheer lack of ambition with the game being about 10 years of date conceptually. Can’t wait for Tom Clancy’s Assassin Creed WRLD next!
  5. Oh sorry Phil and cheers! I must have missed it whilst I was falling off my chair coming to terms with this crap🤣
  6. Oh go fuck yourselves Ubisoft! Tom Clancy must be turning in his grave seeing his name used in such a tacky and tasteless way. XDefiant is basically Ubisoft's answer to Call of Duty being a 6v6 deathmatch-based game. It's free to play and looks absolute trash. If this is a sign of things to come with Ubisoft's new 'Originals' strategy of free games then it'll be the death of them and good riddance. Their last F2P shooter Hyper Scape was dead after a couple of weeks and this will probably go the same way. Meanwhile the community are gagging for a new Splinter Cell and have been for over a decade now..
  7. Newcastle fans have started already - they lost 1-0 to Conference North side York City with their first team in a friendly and already 'Bruce out' chants and relegation talk have begun😂
  8. Chelsea with a full season under Tuchel will be very interesting - they were 2nd in the form table for the second half of the season since he took over bang on the midway point. I think City will win it but I think Liverpool may have a mediocre top 4 finish that possibly sees Klopp leave and the ageing squad split.
  9. 140,000 at Silverstone today and people being pinged so much that companies and critical local services are being forced to shut down because they don't have the staff to operate. Oh well, at least people got to watch noisy cars whiz past them in the unbearable heat after paying £385... It's amazing how sports have suddenly become immune to Covid yet if I walk past someone who was recently in contact with someone who suspected to have covid, I have to stay insidee for 10 days.
  10. What an embarrassment PM and chancellor U-turn: They now say they will isolate after uproar over 'stupid' plan to avoid staying home NEWS.SKY.COM Downing Street had said Mr Johnson and Mr Sunak will be taking in a pilot scheme whereby they will be tested daily and so do not have to quarantine - but that plan has now been scrapped. Basically Johnson and Sunak tried to get out of mandatory Isolation by creating this seemingly overnight 'pilot scheme' where they didn't have to isolate for 10 days because of regular internal testing yet the normal public have to isolate for 10 days no matter what. Another example of one rule for them as and when they please and another for everyone else. Third wave peak expected in late August and there doesn't exactly seem to be much fanfare regarding freedom day tomorrow or any concrete information regarding that either. They are basically just making up shit as they go along whereas other countries are now making moves on bringing back some restrictions and curfews.
  11. UK health secretary Sajid Javid tests positive for Covid-19 and has mild symptoms despite being double-jabbed. Hardly a good advert for ‘freedom day’ on Monday! You can’t make this shit up really!
  12. Users who were eligible to place an order couldn't because it said they weren't allowed and when instructed to refresh the client, they could then place the reservation but it would then say they made too many purchase attempts and get kicked out😅 Valve's retail operations are so outdated and unreliable it's horrendous. They will sell out of the Deck so they wont care about these issues but they really should hire a proper distributor with a credible purchase framework because this in-house regime they have makes me so uneasy.
  13. Game delayed until January 2022. This is definitely a tactical move because it would've got buried in the fall release window. This will also give them a bit more time to try and turn opinions but I can't see that happening.
  14. Heads up, $5 Steam Deck reservations are now live on Steam | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM You don't want to be late to the party.
  15. This one Dave Automobilista 2 on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM Automobilista 2 once again puts you in the driving seat of an advanced and diverse racing simulator - now with incredible graphical quality, high-profile cars and tracks, advanced dynamic track condition...
  16. A free PC client is in the works combining all the classic CODs and everything within in them. This has gathered some serious traction in recent months but it also puts itself at risk of being struck down by Activision but if they can pull it off and keep the publishers at arms length, we could literally have the perfect all-round Call of Duty experience possible. It basically mimics COD Online but has everything without microtransactions and a much better connection.
  17. Yeah the old gen is basically stuck with 32v32 on watered-down maps. Although not much has been said, it seems like it'll be a hugely inferior experience.
  18. Hard to believe this is just a game
  19. After over a year away and the game being seemingly forgotten, it looks like it's gone through a major overhaul and will likely be free to play when it does fully release once more. Never played it back in the day and the devs got some flak for some bad decisions in which the player base evaporated but it looks like they've worked hard. It wont come close to Battlefield and it's extremely risky releasing months before BF2042 but it'll be interesting to see how it does.
  20. You can install Windows on a Steam Deck and possibly other game storefronts too | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Unlike the Nintendo Switch, the Steam Deck will be an open platform that lets you do whatever you want.
