  1. I cannot believe they've removed the manual defibrillator and instead replaced it with a one-button action - not only that, the button required is the same for picking up weapons so you go to revive someone, don't receive a revive prompt and instead you pick up their gun. Absolutely retarded.
  2. Tried the PS5 version which seemed very smooth but far less spectacular than on PC in terms of match fluidity. Took me a while to settle back with a controller and there doesn't seem to be significant aim assist although headshots can be pulled off quite regularly. Navigating the UI with a pad is horrible though. I'm really not holding out much hope with the final release next month especially with DICE's shameful track record. This may be a beta but it's likely not too different than what we'll get. DICE are pretending it's an older build which is utter horsehit because the files indicate it's from week 3 of September. If this was the case and we did get a stable but outdated version then that would completely negate the point of a beta by its true conceptual definition. Right now, they are protecting their pre-orders and mitigating any concerns by playing it off as an old build but it's just not the case and people need to see through this PR nonsense. The shoddy animations, the relentless terrain clipping, visual bugs and woeful UI is just too much for them to rectify along with the rest. Even if it was put back until March 2022, it still wouldn't be long enough with their history. 18 months it took them to rectify the BF4 netcode and eradicate the critical invisible barrier issues with explosives. The game will still be in beta on release except with all the content. I have had some fun but for long durations in matches I've been bored and the gameplay lacks logic and flow. I think the maps are just too big and/or the player counts are. The beta should remain open right through until release if they are serious about fixing issues. This is nothing more than a PR event and all the feedback that could possibly be given has already been taken during the large alpha phases. They'll end the beta and keep the players in the dark until launch. I'm really on the fence but I know this game will launch a right state.
  3. It's confirmed Coming later this year
  4. Can you not edit your class pre-match? I seem to be faffing around with a barebones gun right at the start. Kinda annoying. The attachment quick change needs some actual detail - it's easy to switch but they really need to add the actual names of stuff rather than bloody icons to decipher along with their descriptions which you have no time to read - kinda defeats the purpose of the functionality. I don't think you should be able to customise your gun to this degree on the fly either - maybe add/remove your attachment but not to this level of changing things.
  5. Had one game just now on PC and it was pretty decent. Mechanics feel familiar and the game looks good. Animations are very poor at times though especially when looking at enemy air vehicles - I saw a couple of jets do instant 360's and infantry movement can appear erratic and wonky. The user interface is far too busy and I hope elements can be disabled, scaled down or minimised until relevant to the player. Maps will take a while to learn but I found it quite difficult at times to spot the objective and when capturing, it needs to be clearer - not as clear as the sector report bars which take up 10% of the bloody screen but something just a little tidier that doesn't blend in to all the other onscreen shite. Games like this you can lose your bearings quite easily especially when trying to manage your squad, the objective, gear and the enemies in an instant. Got to see the rocket go off Also a five man feed including 4 with one grenade!
  6. We're at COD levels of silliness with these specalists
  7. That's what I mean - viewers donating to streamers who are already making £50,000 a week from just subs alone - streamers should make all donations go towards charities instead because 99% of them also have lucrative sponsorships on top. I remember reading last year that some top-tier ones sometimes get paid upwards of $60,000 by major publishers just to feature their game for a 4 hour stream. Funnily enough some of the smaller streamers have donation limits and run frequent charity streams but Twitch is plagued with these champagne socialists who exude poverty and then go and buy $3m houses after guilting their audience. I think a lot of people will regret blowing so much money on these streamers later in life especially the likes of Pokimane fans🤣 New article Twitch in crisis as it blames server error for massive data breach | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM All down to a configuration change, apparently.
  8. This is why donations should go to charities instead of making rich people even richer. It's insane money really.
  9. It's kinda weird that they have a huge bar appear at the top for some alerts which could easily be communicated via audio or just by looking at the current score/capture points.
  10. This happened early yesterday and it was a massive breach Security experts aghast at the scale of Twitch hack: 'This is as bad as it could possibly be' | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM How bad is it? According to IT security pros, really bad.
  11. GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition achievements leaked - launch imminent METRO.CO.UK References to remasters of the three PS2 era GTA games have been found in...
  12. General consensus so far from users is that it's rough around the edges and performance is a worry. A lot of work needed in the next few weeks it seems. Another delay could be a prospect depending on the wider reception but I think they'll just chuck it out and hope for the best. Even a Brokenfield will be more appealing than COD at this rate.
  13. It's a cracking list of games - I've grabbed one so I don't want to be greedy plus a large amount I already own but definitely if your Steam library is light, there is some excellent titles there.
  14. Seems they've also lost sight of the meaning of Ghost Recon = an stealth espionage team of infantry yet now it's just a generic brand name and to hell with the concept. People have also been begging for a new Splinter Cell for an eternity but Ubisoft continues to shaft and ignore fans. They are gonna need a miracle with Rainbow Six Extraction, XDefiant and this after the shambles that was Hyper Scape. God knows what they've concocted for the free version of The Division too..
  15. Says it all
  16. This game looks mental
  17. More out of touch garbage from Ubisoft who are once again getting ridiculed from all corners of the globe with this one. Another iconic series completely obliterated by generic shite At least back in 2012-13 Ubisoft had ambition with new and intriguing IP’s but guff like this and Xdefiant off the back of their humiliating Hyper Scape could mean 3 multiplayer consecutive failures on an unprecedented scale.
  18. Funnily enough, the amount of content we get now is what we used to get day one in COD games back in the day. It's such a shame. Cold War could've been decent off the bat if we had 15+ maps rather than about 6 with 2 scaled down ones and then Nuketown for the 30th time. Vanguard has 20 maps which is ideal - it's just a shame they don't seem very good at all as is the entire game. Things have gotten much worse since they stopped the paid season passes for map packs as they aren't obliged to deliver now.
  19. Windows 11 is out now and ready for you to download | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The OS launched a little earlier than expected for most, but should you rush to install it?
  20. The screenshots are pure comedy! Konami have also released a statement
  21. Shame to hear. Hopefully the developers will actually listen this time around - no point in them doing a huge reboot if the same old problems, technical and conceptual still exist.
  22. It'll probably take them a good couple of years at the very least just to get back to square one with what they achieved on PES 2021. Maybe even longer if 2008 or 14 were anything to go by. They've essentially just ported the entire old game into the new engine and hoped for the best and are now having to work with unfamiliar architecture. They'll probably have to re-write their entire animation library and do the ball physics from scratch because so far its pure ragdoll collision and wayward ball movement. Kinda serves them right for not investing in a new in-house engine years ago for when the Fox Engine because outdated. Now they have to go the off-the-shelf route with Unreal. At least U4 can port into Unreal 5 but they need to get the basics done first. Konami just love peaking and then going back to the bottom rinse and repeat!
