  1. One thing for sure if that whether the deal goes through or not, nothing with change with Activision or Call of Duty. Bobby Kotick will remain as CEO as already confirmed and no other infrastructural changes are expected either.
  2. Because the UK is still a huge business of their commercial, educational and entertainment sectors and despite throwing a tantrum, they have to respect the legal ruling if they wish to operate within the region and they certainly aren't going to pull the plug of crucial services just because their merger was rejected at the first hurdle. American money and laws can't buy influence of rights in other countries like it used to. It's fucking hilarious because I've lost count of how many times the EU has taken legal action against American companies for breaching anti-trust and competition laws. I swear Apple and Spotify have been buttfucked all over Brussles in the last few years alone. Love seeing these capitalist corporations get schooled by basic laws. The merger is dumb anyway - two companies of this magnitude shouldn't be allowed to merge. Doesn't benefit anyone but the money-men. There's not been one successful acquisition so far from Microsoft's recent aggression. It probably will go through with amendments in the end but anyone thinking this will radically change the world is beyond delusional.
  3. The way I see it is Spurs don't deserve Champions League football so I have no gripes with us missing out if that is what happens. It's actually a miracle they are so high up in the table after some of the defeats and the off-field woes this campaign. It would be a blow financially and in terms of prestige but it may prove a welcome kick up the arse during a rebuilt. Chelsea are in a far worse place and could even fall behind Crystal Palace and Wolves by the next game and if West Ham can overturn that 5pt gap then they will be the worst team in London which would be hilarious😎
  4. Chelsea losing 2-0 at home to Brentford, Everton being pushed closer to relegation and Arsenal steadily blowing the title - what a night I was offered tickets for the Spurs game tonight but after the weekend and the fact it's 20:15 kick off, no bloody thanks!
  5. It was a great night and going into the game on 4 pints of Thatcher's Cloudy Lemon cider really helped too😎

  7. Suicide move for Poch especially after this failed tenure at PSG when he finished second in a one horse race. Chelsea are in a miserable position and no money in all the world will buy them a soul or any form of stability. Going back to Spurs would also be a brain dead move at this time but the expectation and toxicity plaguing Chelsea right now wont help and if he fails there then it would severely damage his career prospects.
  8. Hundreds of millions but hey ho, I guess they want to distance themselves from this third party venture but if it proves a monumental success, that wont stop them taking the lion share of the profits and plastering their logo all over the box. What they make in an hour could easily fund this to production so it's just ridiculous really.
  9. So nice of Activision not to fund it and instead put it through a kickstarter... The billion-dollar Call of Duty series is getting an official boardgame, and for some reason it needs a Kickstarter | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The crowdfunding campaign will get underway later this year.

  11. Saw the highlights of the Spurs game and that's some of the worst defending I have ever seen. This has to be the turning point to get Levy gone and bring in someone who can not only fund a new team but offload all the deadwood in between, and there is a lot in that squad. Total overhaul desperately needed and it has to start today really.
  12. Newcastle 3-0 Spurs after 9 minutes🤣 *Edit 4-0 after 19! *Edit2 5-0 on 21..
  13. Lee after the Preston game
  14. Great game but a terrible result for both teams

  16. Unrecord dev posts noclip video to prove the realistic bodycam FPS isn't 'fake' | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The nearly photorealistic bodycam effect led some to question whether Unrecord was legit, so the developer turned on noclip.
  17. Wrong thread title Lee - should be Forbidden West not Zero Dawn😉
  18. I've only really had the Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced although I have loosely followed the handheld arena over the decades. It's quite amazing how far these have come even going back several years. Crazy to see Ocarina of Time on the DS for instance. I'd say one of the best would have to be the PSP in terms of games and just the sheer build quality. It's an exceptional piece of kit and I hope the rumours of a new Sony Handheld are true however the tragedy of these now is that they aren't exclusive devices and most can play or stream common AAA games you get on console. Before you used to have device-exclusive games and that was what made them special. Now it's just units you can use while you're in bed or doing a shit.
  19. The Finals had similar issues and something like that could prove so pivotal, it could literally kill the game right from the off. Players are less tolerant against this nowadays because of the competitive edge these games have plus there are several other smoother and responsive titles which are far more satisfying and fair to play. Even after Siege, Ubisoft don't really have a competent and/or proven engine that can support arcade-based FPS titles so I hope they can address any netcode woes before launch. Hopefully it's not tied heavily to the engine or users frame rates else it will be a disaster for the game.
  20. Make that the 4363847th🤣 Blatant handball though!

    Unrecord

This is really blowing up - looks photo-realistic and almost real life but it's actually running on UE5. I just hope there's an actual game underneath and not some glorified tech demo with endless bought assets. Insane to see the potential of the latest Unreal engine and it's just a shame established developers don't utilise it to its earliest fullest potential
  22. I think it's had about 3 different developers but the final release and attempt by the new devs was pretty much started from scratch so any woes before then are thankfully taken out of the equation.
  23. Finished the game the other day after about 19 hours - not sure how as the game didn't feel longer compared to the first which usually took me about 14 but it was by some margin it seems. Really enjoyed it overall and clearly a lot of work went into updating sections in terms of detail. Some things were cut which was a surprise but others were more fleshed out. Enemies are much tougher especially in groups to compensate the improved controls although some puzzles were missing and others weren't done quite so well. This game kinda feels like an alternative to sit aside the original rather than something to replace it. I still don't think you can beat the first as it was such a masterpiece and this one by today's standards is an excellent game in its own right but I don't think it will have the same long-term impact. A couple of the characters were significantly weaker by design and voice and I don't think some of the interior world design was as strong in some locations. I do like how they made Ashley more human but at the same time the game also lost a bit of its personality and character banter. This video is also telling - the title may seem harsh but it really puts into perspective how good the original was in terms of atmosphere and style. Doesn't take anything away from the remake though as its still one of the best to be produced. If anything it just shows how good the original was and still is to this day.
  24. It’ll probably follow the same framework as the multiplayer - start off seemingly harmless to test the water and if it’s successful, it’ll be expanded upon and if it doesn’t resonate widely, they will still get aggressive with it to attract and maintain the players who engaged with the paid content already and to hell with the ‘free riders’. I got a ridiculous amount of flack on here a while back when exposing the P2W elements already embedded within the franchise and got even more when I suggested that this could spill into DMZ but here we are and I can safely say this will not disappear or benefit players who just play for fun and want to enjoy the mode how it was initially released. I really liked DMZ but the more competitive and unbalanced they make it, the less relaxed and enjoyable it will be especially if you’re not paying an entry at the gate before you go in. Could alienate a lot of players including ones that own the base game. We’ll have to see how this gradually pans out..
  25. As I already said, peak time is determined by the amount of people using the service (Steam in this case) as a whole. The player counts are then measured against this rate for a determination. It’s even an API factor on SteamWorks so developers can measure their games performance at max overall reach potential. I have never known a video game to measure its peak time and peak player count as the same thing ever. I mean how many times have you heard in this industry developers and publishers refer to peak declines or underperformance at peak time.. Sure peak has a different meaning when talking about a sole entity like a corner shop or pub but in the common gaming industry, is used to garner the player counts reaches at the peak time of platform accessibility. I’ll keep it simple - MW2 achieved around 32,000 at peak platform time that day. That’s all there is to it really and it really is that simple. Doesn’t really mean all that much to a game in a steady monthly decline so there’s no point in squabbling over nitty-gritty terminologies.
