  1. Well my trip to to the Myshkino base was a complete waste of time; turned up just a few tins of beans, a water bottle and a few boxes of single bullets for guns I don't have. I think I was first on the scene too which made the loot seem even more disappointing. Wont be trekking out there again that's for sure. Took a 20 minute stroll to the military backs just a little south east of Pavlovo and managed to grab 4 clips of 7.62 AK ammo with 165 bullets including a 75 capacity drum. Pity I have no AK of any sort though
  2. I've modified it so you can repost that on Facebook
  3. I need a new headset - my PX21's are being kept together by sellotape and an elastic band which doesn't reflect the rest of my high-end gaming setup I need a new pair soon because having to type into the text box whilst playing DayZ asking someone if they'd be so kind as to put their hands up and turn around slowly is getting a bit embarrassing for me now espscially when they kill me whilst I'm tidying up my punctuation
  4. I'm in prime position overlooking Myshkino Military at the moment and I'm gonna see what the gist is there regarding weapons and ammo http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/538508558089051133/70DA62FE89DB50AA7883A806C2816DC96128865F/Took me over an hour to get there from the other side of Devils Castle so I better not have a wasted trip. Hard place to find too because you're practically off the map far-west plus going up and down hills with not a single road or signpost in sight. I can see why they moved the base there instead of having it in Balota where you had the airbase and city either side. People just to to hunt there and then either cause hell on the airstrip or go straight up the road and PVP it in the town! Myshkino is way outta the way though and if I don't get something good here; I wont return.
  5. Day 2 and still haven't grabbed a truck Plenty of potatoes and kiwis around though I was on a server with ONE other person in the middle of fricking nowhere and managed to bump into him and save his bacon from two zombies. I was rewarded with a can of bacon too! I'm quite near Devils Castle and the NW Airfield so may have a butchers and see if I can grab a tent in the vicinity and see what the crack is down at the strip. I may have to bite the bullet and look for vehicle locations from the map although I prefer to stumble upon them. I've covered so many bloody miles today and turned up next to nothing and I'm still rolling with a shitty Repeater AR which sways crazily. Mags seem bloody rare even in barracks now. Plenty of guns lurking in the SW military base in the woods but jack shit ammo. The Balota barracks have also been removed on the SW coast but there is a new one called Myshkino in the North West so I'll have to check that out.
  6. Liverpool starting building work on Monday to increase the capacity of Anfield to nearly 60,000 by adding a 3rd tier onto the main stand and an additional section to the Anfield Road stand. Doesn't say how this will impact matches or if parts of the stadium will be closed during the work but if not; that's impressive to make such big changes.
  7. 'Spectre' is the name of the new James Bond film just announced from Pinewood Studios. Christopher Waltz as the new villain. More details to follow..
  8. ..for this bullshit - #1 on the OPC's Top 5 fails list Those clips are some bullshit and The Shwantz nails it commentary-wise
  9. Can't wait to watch Dylan get stripped butt-naked, handcuffed and slapped around a bit. When that's done; I may watch him on Steam playing DayZ through Steam Broadcasting
  10. The closest I got to a vehicle today was nearly getting run over by a truck Luckily I was on a night server so I wasn't spotted (I don't think) but I heard it coming down the road and didn't realise what the noise was until I saw it 10 feet away before I dived off the road. I still ain't found a normal tent yet so I'm not holding out much hope of getting behind the wheel any time soon! Those military tents look decent though and 250 slots apparently - plenty of room for my 25 potatoes to fit in now
  11. I was wondering what happened to him. Cheers for the heads up Dave. I liked Lee and his in-depth scrutiny of political and world affairs but some of his theories were a bit far fetched and bordering on the farcical. I respected his thoughts regarding some things but in most cases; he would make a mountain out of a molehill of things and think there was always an ulterior motive behind events that would happen in the world. In the end, he seemed to use these boards more for spreading his 'illuminati' propaganda than taking a step back and having a balanced view of situations. Last I saw of him I think was in the Elliot Rodger thread where he even managed to concoct a media conspiracy behind that.

Seems like it's fixed now though
  13. Only 12,300 available worldwide at $499 - never thought I'd see something looking so good in grey!
  14. I don't know if people are familiar with Assassin's Creed as it's quite a niche and unknown brand but there is another game next year on the way called 'Victory' and it's set in London which is in Finland I believe. I hear Ubishaft who make these titles are regarded in the highest order in terms of technical execution and design quality.
  15. Picked up Dragonfall Directors Cut in the Steam sale and it's a great game. Opted to skip Returns as DDC offers a strong campaign with a completely new engine and interface that is apparently far better and more user-friendly. I'm really liking the turn-based combat RPG after Wasteland 2 and this is another example of a really well-executed game with a terrific backdrop and story.
  16. Cheers Phil and Rich! Does this game have a full installer or does it run through a browser at the minute?
  17. I've registered on the Star Citizen website but I'm just finding everything a bit overwhelming to understand even though most of the information is in there and around the community. I haven't been following the game closely enough and it looks like I've got quite a bit of catching up to do. Once you register, it seems to them have to buy a ship - $30 minimum it seems just to install and get access to the hangar but after that; I don't know what you're entitled to do in the game up until it's finished. I don't want to be throwing money aimlessly and get roped in to paying hundreds just to get going and that's not taking into account buying the game. It doesn't appear to be a fully-fledged subscription model but microtransactions seem to play a large part in success when the game is released. I'm gagging to give it a try but a lot more research is needed and just like Dave; I'll be beefing up by rig for this type of game and for the future but I need to keep a close eye on how much I'll be hemorrhaging on getting there and that's not taking into account my contribution towards the game itself. I think Phil has been following it more closely and has contributed towards the development so hopefully he can shed more detail on the foundation of the game and what to expect..
  18. As long as your rig is a quad core; you should be fine Graphics card should handle it on high too.
  19. Looking at the official site; doesn't look like they have the completed minimum specs up yet Tommy although they do have a brief on the basics needed - Minimum System Requirements Windows Vista (64 bit), Windows 7 (64 bit) or Windows 8 (64 bit) DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM Quad core CPU 8GB Memory
  20. Ho-lee-sheet
  21. I swear hasbeen brands get resurrected just for events like Black Friday! I bet Tesco done a deal with the old-school Blaupunkt to make 100,000 shite but big TV's for just that day to make a quick buck for them and Tesco. I bet we'll see JVC camera phones and Amstrad laptops come Christmas! 30hz for a TV is like a game running at 10fps. I spent £350 on a Samsung 600hz Smart TV a couple of weeks back and if I'm going to spend something; I'd rather splash out on something that's good value for what's on offer and an established brand that something that already sounds too close to 'Bankrupt' as in Blaupunkt Most of the people I saw in the reports looked like chavs lacking a double digit IQ buying that crap so screw it but the typical consumer will always think with their cheapskate mentality over quality especially when it comes to sales.
  22. Takes a while to adjust and spawns are a bit iffy on some maps but once you become accustomed to the general pace and craziness; it's bloody good fun and you can level up pretty good too!
