I don't know if people are familiar with Assassin's Creed as it's quite a niche and unknown brand but there is another game next year on the way called 'Victory' and it's set in London which is in Finland I believe. I hear Ubishaft who make these titles are regarded in the highest order in terms of technical execution and design quality.

Picked up Dragonfall Directors Cut in the Steam sale and it's a great game. Opted to skip Returns as DDC offers a strong campaign with a completely new engine and interface that is apparently far better and more user-friendly. I'm really liking the turn-based combat RPG after Wasteland 2 and this is another example of a really well-executed game with a terrific backdrop and story.

I've registered on the Star Citizen website but I'm just finding everything a bit overwhelming to understand even though most of the information is in there and around the community. I haven't been following the game closely enough and it looks like I've got quite a bit of catching up to do. Once you register, it seems to them have to buy a ship - $30 minimum it seems just to install and get access to the hangar but after that; I don't know what you're entitled to do in the game up until it's finished. I don't want to be throwing money aimlessly and get roped in to paying hundreds just to get going and that's not taking into account buying the game. It doesn't appear to be a fully-fledged subscription model but microtransactions seem to play a large part in success when the game is released. I'm gagging to give it a try but a lot more research is needed and just like Dave; I'll be beefing up by rig for this type of game and for the future but I need to keep a close eye on how much I'll be hemorrhaging on getting there and that's not taking into account my contribution towards the game itself. I think Phil has been following it more closely and has contributed towards the development so hopefully he can shed more detail on the foundation of the game and what to expect..

As long as your rig is a quad core; you should be fine Graphics card should handle it on high too.

Looking at the official site; doesn't look like they have the completed minimum specs up yet Tommy although they do have a brief on the basics needed - Minimum System Requirements Windows Vista (64 bit), Windows 7 (64 bit) or Windows 8 (64 bit) DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM Quad core CPU 8GB Memory

I swear hasbeen brands get resurrected just for events like Black Friday! I bet Tesco done a deal with the old-school Blaupunkt to make 100,000 shite but big TV's for just that day to make a quick buck for them and Tesco. I bet we'll see JVC camera phones and Amstrad laptops come Christmas! 30hz for a TV is like a game running at 10fps. I spent £350 on a Samsung 600hz Smart TV a couple of weeks back and if I'm going to spend something; I'd rather splash out on something that's good value for what's on offer and an established brand that something that already sounds too close to 'Bankrupt' as in Blaupunkt Most of the people I saw in the reports looked like chavs lacking a double digit IQ buying that crap so screw it but the typical consumer will always think with their cheapskate mentality over quality especially when it comes to sales.

Takes a while to adjust and spawns are a bit iffy on some maps but once you become accustomed to the general pace and craziness; it's bloody good fun and you can level up pretty good too!

I've gotten back into AW this week and played Momentum pretty much non-stop and it's definitely the best mode in the whole game and it's a shame we haven't seen it in other matches since WAW as it's fantastic and frantic fun throughout. It kinda turns the game into a classic arena-style MP battle which isn't a typical COD format but it bloody works and works well. The spawns are a bit iffy and there will always be retarded teammates but I cannot express how much fun there is in this mode. The mechanics and general pace of the game are really suited to it too.

I made my eagerly anticipated start to Far Cry 4 last night and played a couple of hours which included the prologue and a few missions. I was a massive fan of Far Cry 3 and it really turned out to be a memorable game on the last gen. This game however I'm struggling to get into and I was bored shitless in most of the time I played. Dunno if I wasn't in the right frame of mind but I was taken aback how tedious things seemed. The game is familiar which is fantastic as I loved the FC3 structure but the story seems woeful, the characters are awful and the acting is borderline embarrassing. Kyrat looks incredible but the map layout is a bit horrendous with so many trees, hills and mountains. The gunplay feels ropey and the missions seem extremely dull. Everything seems a bit mundane so far which I did not expect. I really hope I get into it and the game grows but for all its similarities; it just doesn't seem as good as its predecessor.

I love the Batman games and I'm delighted Rocksteady have come back with this one. Origins was a decent effort by WB Games but it just didn't have that Rocksteady polish and style which made Asylum and City so bloody good! Arkham is going to look unreal in this game and with the staggering cinematics; it'll be just like playing in a movie

It's been a long road but DayZ is finally getting there! I think the devs have done extremely well despite falling a couple of months behind and having to deal with people who bought the alpha and were left dumbfounded when they realised it wasn't a finished game I've really enjoyed the game this year - mostly done two months on and two off between updates but I'll be hopping on again in the next couple of weeks to see how it's progressed past ver.50. I hope vehicles aren't too readily available and easy to get going as the already-toxic community will be causing carnage with the feature just like the tent frenzy! The game is fantastic on foot though but vehicles in some form are highly anticipated and welcomed. Still a long way to go but DayZ has the potential to be one of the best games ever produced.

The Obsidian Steed variant is also +2 damage on what is an already a completely overpowered gun. It's -1 on accuracy but seeing that the gun has basically no recoil particularly with the 2 hit kill tops; it's not much of a counterbalance. Apparently the original BAL has been nerfed on the old gen which has added more muzzle climb but people are saying with the grip; it's just the same as before. Wonder when they patch the current gen and PC versions they'll dock attributes on the Elite versions too like the Obsidian?
