Cannot wait for the Winter Sale to kick off and to get this shitty Steam Auction they've got running out the way. I've made nearly £4 from ridding some unwanted inventory items which will go towards the sale. Valve have done a masterclass in conning people with this Gem bidding as people are placing bids on games using gems they've bought valued at significantly greater than if they bought the game with real money. Some toolio bought CSGO on the first day of the auction for £60 worth of gems I got the game in the last Winter Sale for £2.99! Dark Souls II better finally get a reduction as it's been full price since release.

Destiny isn't a MMO though and that's the problem. It's a FPS game with co-op features that has watered-down elements you'd see in a MMO. In the likes of WOW and games of this nature; you can get away with endless grinding over huge lands and liase with hundreds of new people every day. Loot systems and classes are usually riddled with depth and items aplenty. Also many MMO's have daily updates, challenges and a over-whelming amount of objectives to sift through to level up and it feels a different experience each time. The open worlds and scale in these games never gets tired and expansions add a whole new dimension to the existing base game. From what I've seen of Destiny; it's just performing the same tasks on a very limited backdrop of locations which mimic that of a generic campaign with an MP and Raids aspect thrown into the mix. Also it seems socially restrictive too which doesn't champion any lingering MMO hallmarks.

I haven't got round to starting Destiny yet and I probably wont even bother now. My dad has said it's just been a mundane, shallow and repetitive grind amounting to nothing and the DLC is an insult to the wallet that offers nothing new. I am bitterly disappointed though because it seems the game is a hugely wasted opportunity. This should have been a open-world MMO and not some socially restrictive game. Consoles are in prime position to hold a true MMO but Destiny seems to be half-baked in everything it proclaims. The contract Bungie and Activision concocted which consists of 4 games and DLC over 10 years is just a cash-whore exercise and it seems the DLC on offer sets the forthcoming standard. They should have done one game like the proven World of Warcraft, made it a vast open world and rolled out weekly content and then focused on proper expansions instead of sequels. Seems they're just looking for ways for people to churn out minimal new things on what is an already tired base-game and using DLC to reap the financial rewards. My dad certainly has had his £35's worth but he's pulling the plug on any future content as he doesn't want to blow more money essentially withheld material that offers nothing. As Dave said; them contemplating Destiny 2 already is just a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Amazing game Tommy! Didn't have a PS3 so never got the chance to play it but so glad it made to to PS4. Played it through once and it was a truly fantastic experience and one of the best games I've played in recent memory. Powerful narrative and wonderful locations. I'll definitely have to play through it again soon and ramp up the difficulty. MP seems a bit weak but the main game with the DLC is a must buy at any price.

Caught wind of this unfolding late last night and followed it into the early hours. It's still going on and were into the 14th hour of the saga. I see the person involved has been identified and is already on bail for some serious offences including conspiracy to murder! Don't the Aussie courts have the bloody option to remand a dangerous person under suspicion of such acts!? No sign of this letting up anytime soon particularly now as the hostage taker has played the 'I've planted bombs card' but thankfully a small handful have been let out/escaped and hope the rest follow with a peaceful conclusion. Just goes to show; nowhere is safe...not even a Lindt Cafe!

Kane has been a saviour for Spurs this season and Eriksen has bailed them out of a few matches - them two alone have probably accumulated about 15 points with crucial performances. I really can't believe Levy after all the fine strikers Spurs have had over the years hasn't invested in a recognised one that could cut it in the Prem in recent years. I reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea nabbing Defoe back for the remainder of the season from Toronto as he's on the verge of leaving there as the move didn't enhance his England chances even though he thought it would pave the way to a blossoming international career

If Spurs sort out their home form; they're on target for the top 4. The amount of points they've dropped at the lane this season has been crazy! Defo need a striker in the January I think

Excellent post Tommy! Skyrim is really a game that will never die. The modding community and fanbase are incredible and it's just simply fantastic to see.

It usually gets between 11,000-15,000 and still has a thriving community although it will inevitably decline like Ghosts after Christmas. Game runs fine if you have Nvidia and not AMD I've found.

Airspace is now slowly reopening with a backlog. Our reliance in this world on computers and general technology is just too dependent these days and one day; something of a travesty could occur in the world because of it. The only thing that seems overly-reliant yet almost flawless is hospitals. The aviation industry has been a farce for years with tech making things so easy; they aren't prepared and people aren't trained if something like this goes wrong.

Thrilling end to the Liverpool game but they didn't quite make it and paid the price for a very poor first half display. They seemed to play better with 10 men but Markovic was foolish to needlessly flail his arm around like that in front of the ref even though it may have seemed harsh. The intention certainly looked there. Great effort from Liverpool in the end under the circumstances but that was a terrible display for the most part.
