  1. I'm definitely going to pick this up in the next couple of weeks as the first was an absolute blast and a very pleasant surprise away from the usual generic modern day shooters that we usually see these days. Great price too - may pick it up for a tenner on GMG It's also on the next gen too you'll be pleased to know and only £13.99 at Argos I see which is a great price http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/341924.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=cgid:12525669290|tsid:59158|cid:200291570|lid:128213743010|nw:g|crid:58057478930|rnd:1409409367059866570|dvc:c|adp:1o2|bku:1
  2. Incredible end to the Championship season with Bournemouth deservedly nicking the title in the 91st minute thanks to Sheff Wed's late equaliser at Watford! Ipswich held on to a playoff place by 4 goals despite losing and Derby finished with the biggest capitulation of a season I have ever seen losing 3-0 at home to Reading and finishing 8th despite leading the table for most of the season and then plummeting out of the top 6! The playoffs will be really interesting too especially with Brentford there. Blackpool game also got abandoned after crowd trouble
  3. Batman: Arkham Knight MGS V: Phantom Pain The Division Deus Ex Mankind Divided Just Cause 3 Mass Effect 4
  4. It's not that filthy adult one he's always banging on about is it? Welcome aboard
  5. Oh and there was also ''that's it, I'm boycotting Steam forever now''.............whilst the person is still playing DOTA2 or CSGO 10 hours a day
  6. Massive Star Wars Steam sale on http://store.steampowered.com/sale/star_wars_may_4_2015
  7. That's a good shout Phil! I've been meaning to get a new headset and try to organise a proper session with everyone and there is so many games to choose from that we are spoiled for choice and should maximise it. I've been pissing around with Black Ops II last couple of days and that could be worth a look although it's a bloody hellhole of talented tryhards who've been playing nearly 3 years straight. A few of us also own DayZ Standalone/Mod so that maybe a more suitable alternative. The others are great choices too but are owned in dribs and drabs by people on our friends list but still could be worth a look. Just need to work out when the best time is - I'm working very early morning out in the field (not a real grass field btw ) and then from home mostly in the afternoon so I sneak in some cheeky gaming time when I can but now the football season is over and my routine is more normal; I hope to be playing more consistently in the evenings and weekends without any distractions.
  8. Valve has shut down the paid mod system after 4 days http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-32493895 Victory for the gamers, modders and the industry.
  9. Season pass is pretty pricey at £32.99/$39.99 - the Premium version is retailing at £87.99 and $99.99. That's a heck of a lot but I'm sure the base game will be excellent and hopefully the extra DLC will hold some solid merit.
  10. I've tried to get my mum on board but with sexy bastards like Phil and Rich on the scene; the forum will just descend into pure carnage. We need more birds on this forum too because there are too many tits on here of the other kind
  11. After the reception AW got in the wider community; I bet Treyarch were deeply concerned - trouble is, they were already two years into developing BO3 by the time AW got released so it was too late to do a dramatic u-turn. I can't judge BO3 on what happened with AW but the general era isn't very appealing. I think Treyarch were possibly threatened by Titanfall at time time of producing BO3 at the start and decided to mimic that type of game to squeeze the competition but that flopped and so did Sledgehammer's game. Hopefully Treyarch's reputation will outweigh any concerns but they could have actually screwed themselves before they even started. The franchise is actually better-placed than it's ever been in regards to the cycle but they're just farming out futuristic titles now. Sledgehammer could handle future titles, IW could do the modern era and Treyarch could make the more classic games. That would be a good variety per year for me but this persistent future theme is getting extremely tedious.
  12. I've just watched the Advanced Warfare trailer for the first time in nearly a year and it's just streets ahead compared to the BO3 one. You can't judge a book by its cover and you certainly cannot judge a game by the trailer but despite not being a massive fan of AW; the narrative-driven, visually impressive and smartly edited reveal just seems far tidier, better structured and much more impressive. Sledgehammer really seemed to push the brand and the games's identity in their one but Treyarch's reveal was surprisingly sloppy and somewhat lucklustre for me.
  13. Theater mode returning. Matchmaking the same as BO2 (reduced SBMM structure) Beta 1-2 months prior to launch. Supply drops not returning. Design your own camo in the paintshop. 3 MP maps already announced: Combine – A Saharan research facility with open areas and tight corners. Stronghold – A Swiss chateau up in the Alps. Hunted – Ethiopian hunting lodge with water fall. PC min specs already out Min Specs: OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 CPU: Intel Core i3-530 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.60 GHz System RAM: 6GB Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 1GB / ATi Radeon HD 6970 1GB Hard Drive Space: TBA DirectX11
  14. I dunno if I've outgrown COD or whether that was an exceptionally crap trailer but for me; BO3 looks utter rubbish that doesn't appeal in the slightest. Not only have they included everything that I don't like about the franchise now; the identity of the series is completely lost with all this futuristic robotic shit. With Infinity Ward up next and then Sledgehammer to look forward to; I think this could very well be the final nail in the coffin for me with this series.
  15. I'm looking forward to seeing Deus Ex Mankind Divided from them along with Just Cause 3 but all their other IP's are now riddled with DLC and Season Passes which is such a turn-off.
  16. Looks suspiciously like Advanced Flawfare. Game is current gen only so no PS3/360 versions.
  17. Box art
  18. I will pre-order; play the beta after getting access and then cancel my pre-order and only lose a fiver in the process - better than losing £50 in November only to be bored shitless come Decemeber
  19. A Call of Duty game with a beta!? First 'game' image leaked
  20. I watched Heat again last night. Great film! A bit long but excellent throughout. De Niro and Pacino nailed it and all that was missing was Stallone to top-off a great cast. Cracking scene - how the fuck they kept a straight face is beyond me
  21. Massive ETS2 bundle for £5.99 on Bundlestars http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/euro-truck-simulator-2-collectors-bundle/ Ryse Son of Rome £11.66 on Humble https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/ryse_sonofrome_storefront
  22. I hope it's not as watered-down as it looks on paper. I was expecting much more than that in all honesty. Unfortunately the only significant thing on the list that will grow is likely to be the DLC!
  23. Disgraceful move. I was shocked when I read about this yesterday. I didn't see this coming whatsoever but it seems Steam have been plotting this under the table for some time. Modding is one of the most important and thriving community assets to the industry and now Steam are monetizing it; not only will they take a line share but it could really kill off the concept as a whole. Some modders may use this as an opportunity to milk people just like the AAA industry does these days and other users may jump on the cash bandwagon and try and sell outlandish tat for extortionate rates. Reputable modders usually take donations and that's it and I'm more than happy to give money to projects that have been made with care, skill and passion. I don't want a substantial cut going to Steam after mods are made payable. I just hope that modders use sites like Moddb to not only keep the site alive but to keep modding healthy and steer well clear of Steam. Donations, praise and free content is what keeps modding alive and Steam have all but killed it in one fell swoop.
