  1. I still haven't started Fallout 4 yet but hope to crack on next week. Hope everyone who playing it is having a good time
  2. I saw the other day that the PS4 and Xbox One versions as well as the old gen still primarily utilize P2P instead of users having access to dedicated servers across the board in BO3. If this is the case; billion dollar franchise but cheapskate execution as usual. Stable dedicated servers with manual or fluent automatic matchmaking should be mandatory really.
  3. Connection speeds mean fuck all in Treyarch games now with their aggressive lag compensation and you'll find that the better internets in the lobby get punished by the laggers so people's speeds get manipulated to be comparable with the worst connection in the lobby. The fact that the general matchmaking isn't great regardless just increases the amount of users who get dragged down. I actually miss the host advantage days as there was only one person with an advantage in the match as opposed to now where the entire lobby plays at a disadvantage with a deliberately distorted connection quality. All the ping numbers and in-game smoothness are merely a smokescreen to convince users they are in a solid match whereas they are likely to playing up to a second off the pace because the algorithms used against weak connections have been stretched and tampered to buggery. The general netcode shoddiness doesn't help either.
  4. I've mostly been enjoying the Kuda and Weevil so far. I thought I'd be more into AR's but once again there's been some tasty SMG's which are appropriate for many maps and very powerful. I unlock the Razorback in a few levels and that looks pretty damn good also. I've used the KN-44 on a few matches which is a great starting gun and AR (formerly the Ark-7 in the beta)
  5. They are slowly drifting in..
  6. Haven't eaten my copy yet I've done a few missions and I have no idea what is going on It seems pretty good but also trippy as hell - if you said to me 5 years ago after MW2 that instead of shooting civilians in an airport; you'd be killing robots on a train, I'd say you were bloody crazy. After mission 2; this campaign is well and truly fucking mental
  7. I really don't know why so many more people play TDM over KC when you can earn many more points in the latter and build scorestreaks much quicker. It's practically the same mode anyway but it's so much better flowing when you have tags to pick up and it's not frankly a taxing tactical mode either. TDM is just too plain and simple and KC offers much more which doesn't drastically alter matches whatsoever.
  8. I think all the maps are of a very high standard with some nice varied backdrops and layouts. I'm not sure which is my favourite at the minute and I'm not even sure if I've played on all of them yet but I quite like the look of Infection as that's a really weird map but with a more traditional backdrop:- There isn't one map that I dread to see on the rotation although the spawns on Fringe can be cringeworthy. Others like Metro and Havoc feel like BO2 maps done better which is great.
  9. COD 4 Modern Warfare would have made the perfect opportunity for a movie as it was so unique and brand-appropriate but now the franchise has moved to a more futuristic, fantasy and spectacular backdrop; they'll probably go all Hollywood on this aspect and showcase as much CGI as possible. MW would have the best narrative but the way the series is positioned now; it's all about crashes and bangs more than a quality story. COD 4 wont ever be forgotten as a game but I think the time has probably passed for it to be relevant for a movie nowadays which is a shame.
  10. I see Activision have formed their own movie studio now with Skylanders coming in the next two years and a Call of Duty movie expected for 2018-19. Could be interesting and hope they do something along the lines of Modern Warfare as that would be vintage.
  11. Connection improved as the day went on - I think I jumped in just as the game was being released in North America so the dedicated server lobbies were a bit lopsided. Bullet detection still feels iffy to me and the hitboxes are inconsistently out of sync possibly due to the fluctuating framerate playing a part. I'll probably have to lock it at 60fps retro-style! For the life of me I still cannot remember any of the map names but I think I've played on most. A couple I have yet to see though but on the whole; they all seem of a very good quality and are nicely balanced. Not too sure about the new Nuketown though as it's a bit too trippy at times with all the colours and digital style. Still haven't got round to creating an emblem or doing some camo but I'll take a look at that later I expect. I've mostly been using the first two AR's - one is the KN-44 which was the Ark-7 in the beta - not sure why they've renamed it and I dunno the name of the other one but it's quite beasty. Need to start unlocking more. I think I'm level 17 and it's taking a while to level up - I remember last year on AW reaching level 30 after 5 or so matches. Prestige rate is supposed to be 12-15 on average apparently.
  12. Launch trailer
  13. Yep, he's a terrific player and played a blinder last night
  14. Seems a good game packed full of content but as expected; it's lagging like hell and the bullet detection is a fucking farce. It'll be a waste of time producing all that material if people are getting shit on with the same old issues that have plagued the Treyarch games. Looks like HC mode beckons as usual to compensate..
  15. Xboxes comparison
  16. It's live in Australia, New Zealand and Lichtenstein Some random videos:- Zombies Campaign Gunsmith
  17. Not really sure if this is time-dependent on how long you've been in the match or if all joined games which result in losses are not recorded. Hopefully wins through joining games are still logged though.
  18. It does look like Solar from AW for sure. The map was the one from the current gen beta but it looks horrendous on the old gen!
  19. Total dogshit
  20. I barely did any wallrunning or even boost jumping in the beta. Unlike AW; those futuristic mechanics in BO3 aren't forced on the user and you can just play it like a normal COD game. AW was designed primarily with vertical gameplay in mind with respect to the exo suits which I hated. Even the maps were centered around this which made the classic playlists play like crap on most maps. BO3 feels more like BO2 and your standard Call of Duty and the extra mechanics are more fun and fluid if you wish to use them.
  21. Game is already 44% off at GMG http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/simulation/anno-2205/#item-s2
  22. Did you buy the season pass on Steam Joe? If so; you could get that refunded on there and just retain the base game. The season pass (which I so nearly bought) doesn't seem to be offering much in terms of material.
  23. Yep, you can only obtain a refund through Steam if you bought it from the Store itself. It's probably not worth the hassle for other users unless the retailer has a solid refund practice in place for rare situations like these - I got lucky with GMG in all honesty. I did finish and enjoy the game when it was functioning properly but I decided to grab a refund as I was still entitled to it under the circumstances and my experience was dis-satisfactory for many hours. I would be morally mortified by doing such a crafty thing as it's not in my ethics but the PC version and the publishers' conduct was disgraceful for many so my mind is clear and I do intend to pick it up on the PS4 sometime for roughly the same price I would have paid on PC so WB and Rocksteady will still have one over on me regardless
  24. That shouldn't be a problem or just finish the entire game and the DLC before December 31st and then submit a cheeky refund I've already got mine accepted by Greenmangaming even though I have 35+ hours on record
