  1. I'm currently level 8 now and overwhelmed with missions after unlocking each wing in the base so that'll keep me busy for a while. There is certainly a lot more here than I originally expected and so much to do - I've got a good balance between side missions, main missions, encounters and other bonus things and as many missions that are playable are for high levels for me right now; seems you are forced to play the secondary/side missions which is great and deters people from racing through the main story. I'm adjusting well to the user interface now and the looting aspect is pretty fun. I'm still rolling with a level 3 AK47 which I've heavily modded so I really need to sort that out next. Brilliant game so far.
  2. Good stuff! I'm gonna have a more detailed look at the perk variations too so I can get a better balance. I rarely run into people right off the bat although a game today I ran into a couple; killed one and didn't have enough time to get healed so I died with the second. I'm pretty beastly with the bow right now and lag doesn't seem to be affecting distance combat too much. I need to make better use of the FUNC though as I'm too impatient with opening boxes and wasting it - only managed to save up for two airdrops so far!
  3. I'm taking each match as it comes as every single one seems completely different. I tend to loot as much as possible before confronting other players and when I'm kitted out reasonably and other players have been eliminated; I start going for it. A couple of matches earlier, I jumped the gun and was eliminated very quickly but I tend to do better just playing it safe; grabbing as much FUNC and trying to obtain powerful weapons. Luck can be a factor though as I've spent ages in other matches just trying to concoct something and despite lasting a while; had literally nothing to show for it. I do keep my eye on the scoreboard as much as possible because if one player has 3+ kills; he's gonna be well prepped whereas if people have a kill here and a kill there; chances are; it's quite an even playing field. NA servers are the only thing that's proving a stumbling block so far but on the whole; very entertaining game! How are you approaching it Jordie?
  4. Bugger, I installed the new driver earlier without realising this although I haven't experienced any issues with it yet thank ye lord. That's probably tempting fate though and everything will ultimately go to shit a bit later on but it was good while it lasted..
  5. Very sad news indeed. I didn't know the chap as the old forum was before my time but Dean seemed a popular character and an avid gamer so it's a real shame and my thoughts lie with his family, friends and everyone that knew him in this community.
  6. So far, so good. No real changes from the 'beta' aka demo as expected. I've only played an hour which has taken me to level 4 and to the same starting point as the beta. A few side missions in the prologue were pretty standard but I really enjoyed the first main mission in the police station precinct in Brooklyn - almost felt like the infamous E3 reveal from 2013 too! Still disappointed that the UI is a cluttered mess but it'll just take a bit of getting used to. Zero performance issues either which is good although there were a few server wobbles earlier. On the whole; quite a clean launch overall which many weren't expecting.
  7. Yeah, I got screwed over something rotten with lag last night - had a belting match and got about 3 kills only to be undone with three players left and one guy I could no hit whatsoever. The game seems to be smooth as hell but the lag is so visible in the fights. Cracking fun though, plenty of tension and no game ever pans out the same. The UI and HUD are very user friendly with is another massive positive. The community market has just opened up too so I'll be selling my earned t-shirts on there for wallet money - made 1p so far
  8. Absolutely brilliant early access game with a lot of potential that's incredible fun.
  9. 26 is a bit lower than I would have hoped for but more than what was originally rumoured. I think it will take a fair few hours to sift through each one alongside the side missions and general wandering as well as the dark zone but I can see many people blitzing through with the main story in the first few weeks and then have jack shit to do apart from PvP in the dark zone for better loot and the random event. Longevity has been my most significant concern with this game and keeping people engaged until the DLC streams out and until the next big content addition - I think there could be too many holes in this. Ubisoft really should be doing daily and weekly challenges along with adding new decent side missions. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out come next month.
  10. Pre-load done! Painful but it's best to get it out the way than battling away on the crappy servers on the day.
  11. Good job Tommy! My OCD is kept at bay for another day
  12. This forum is called 'Division' and not 'The Division'. It bugs me
  13. Anyone still play this? I don't think I've played it since end of November/early December. I forgot it even existed until I saw the new DLC pop up earlier and that does look fantastic but I probably wont be getting it or bothering with the game any time soon if ever again. I do actually think BO3 is the best Call of Duty for years and is laden with content along with being a really enjoyable game. I just found it a bit too easy at times and I think I've just outgrown the franchise and want to try other games from now on. I also think I'm a bit burned on FPS games in general. If this was two years ago; I'd be playing this non-stop but Ghosts and AW were the ultimate hard-on killer and BO3 hasn't quite managed to reel me in for the long haul like the games used to which is a shame. I've still notched up 75 or so hours and had a blast but I just don't feel motivated to play it and there's always other games that interest me more to dedicate my time. With Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer up next; it may have been my last Call of Duty game too...
  14. Value for money is something I really consider these days and if I can get at least 25 hours out of a full price purchase; it isn't a bad return. I think Call of Duty back in the day, for all its problems; you had exceptional value for money even after shelling out for the DLC's. I got about 2000 hours out of MW, WAW, MW2 and BO combined. Some games are shorter but offer an unforgettable experience and in some way you compensate it with the value for money you've had elsewhere but other titles that are disgustingly short like The Order 1886 are not only disappointing games in terms of quality but the length and replayability is non-existent. It's those that I will happily pass on and probably wouldn't pick up even in the sale. Major AAA games like The Division; I would expect a three figure return of hours even for the same price as a game that may have 25 hours of gameplay. It would disappoint me if the game doesn't offer significant longevity and if I get bored long before any DLC is released.
  15. Game delayed until Q1 2017 now
  16. Ubisoft recycling material? Well I never Primal to Far Cry 4 is what Battlefield Hardline was to BF4 - an overpriced 'spin-off' of recycled material that fails to take the series further. This is really a £20 game tops. Fair play they are trying something new but it feels like a cash-grab of a tiring series.
  17. Leicester draw, Spurs lose and Arsenal lose. A week of missed opportunities..
  18. To cut a long story short; the Xbox One isn't doing very well so they have to bail themselves out by relying on other markets that they haven't touched or been dedicated to for over 15 years With Quantum Break and quite possibly every other XB1 exclusive coming to PC in the near future; I can't really see how the console is going to be viable in the next few years. Even their exclusive deals have gone tits-up with Square Enix being so pissed off with the poor sales of Rise of the Tomb Raider; they released the game on PC 9 months earlier than planned and it sold 3 times as many copies at launch! Wonder if this latest charade will do better than GFWL?....
  19. Crazy day of football! That Rashford looks a great player in the making which is a rarity at Old Trafford these days.
  20. Oh dear!
  21. I absolutely love the Homeworld games especially the Remastered Collection but this doesn't really appeal. Homeworld was unique as it was the first full 3D strategy game and although this one does capture much of the spirit but in 2D; some aspects just stink of a quick cash grab especially as the developers were plucked out of thin air to undertake such a project of a classic IP. £30 was also a bit of a put-off. May have a look again at 50% off but I'll only be interested in the campaign portion as I'm not as sharp as I used to be with MP RTS.
  22. I have it but haven't got round to starting it yet. Gonna probably wait for a patch..or two by the sounds of it!
  23. ..This was vintage a few years ago and although in incredibly bad taste at the time; I think enough time has passed to share it once again. You've probably all seen it but I stumbled across it last night and it still makes me chuckle shamefully
  24. Meh, still can't be bothered to install, play. If anyone is not too LayZ (sigh) let me know how it is
  25. The penalty reminded me of this classic on how not to do it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l_QmTEoPdk
