It isn't a steaming pile of shit though, in of itself a lack of content =/= a bad game.  There's been enough Battlefield launches in the past that have been so bugged to be unplayable.  This isn't that, the game works and works well you just can only have 5 guns and play on 2 maps*.

Patch notes

Update #2 will be available on November 25, and brings a set of balance changes for vehicles and weapons, and fixes for critical bugs we found during the Early Access week of November 12.
For vehicles such as the LCAA Hovercraft, MD540 Nightbird, KA-520 Super Hokum and AH-64GX Apache Warchief we’ve made adjustments that brings them more in line with other vehicles. On the weapon front, you can expect increased recoil for the PP-29, and more consistent bullet spread for most weapons.
We also fixed several critical bugs we noticed were preventing a consistent game experience. These fixes include situations where you could not be revived or respawn as intended.
Once this update is in your hands we’ll follow with Update #3 which is tentatively set for deploy next week. It will be our biggest update so far and provides a larger and more substantial set of changes, including performance enhancements, balance changes, and further QoL improvements. FIXES, CHANGES, AND IMPROVEMENTS
Bullet spread has been reduced on all weapons except Shotguns. This should result in better accuracy during gameplay
Increased PP-29 vertical recoil to ensure that the weapon does not overperform when engaging outside of its intended combat range
Resolved an issue where players who were killed close to obstacles such as walls or water were unable to be revived
Resolved instances where players were stuck in a downed state and unable to respawn. We’ve also introduced a hidden timer that will activate after 30 seconds of being in a downed state that will force a redeploy should it be required
MD540 Nightbird Mounted 20mm Cannons - we are reducing the radius at which bullets do damage upon impact, and decreasing their splash damage
Reduced Blast Radius size from 3 to 2
Reduced Inner Blast Radius damage from 1.5 to 0.75
KA-520 Super Hokum - 30mm Cannon (side mount) - we are reducing overall damage and range at which bullets do full damage, while increasing the overall bullet spread
Reduced Blast Radius from 2 to 1.6
Reduced Blast Damage from 20 to 14
Reduced bullet damage before Damage Fall Off starts 18 to 15
Reduced Damage Fall Off distance from 200 to 180
Reduced bullet damage at max Fall Off distance from 8 to 6
Increased bullet range and spread
AH-64GX Apache Warchief and KA-520 Super Hokum - 30mm Cannon - we are reducing the radius at which bullets do damage upon impact, and decreasing their splash damage 
Reduced Blast Damage from 20 to 18
Increased the Damage Fall Off for enemies that are further away from the bullet impact center
We reduced the overall damage of the Minigun for all Land Vehicles, alongside bullet damage drop off now starting earlier
Reduced bullet damage before Damage Fall Off starts from 18 to 13
Reduced Damage Fall Off distance from 60 to 40
Reduced bullet damage at max Fall Off distance to 6
Equipped armor type for the LCAA Hovercraft has been adjusted which increases it’s vulnerability against different weapon types
Battlefield Portal - UAV-1
The UAV-1 has been re-enabled within Battlefield Portal
Greatly reduced health regeneration delay and speed
Increased missile damage against vehicles and infantry
The drone is now able to roadkill enemies
Breakthrough matches will now correctly end after the last sector has been captured
Resolved an issue that caused players queued for a match in Battlefield Portal to be sent back to the menu, instead of joining the match when a slot became available
Made general improvements to stability to prevent rare occurrences of game crashing

I cba to go through the list one by one however, while I can’t defend the game too much as some of the points are valid I think some crosses the line in to nitpicking.  The lack of maps is a valid complaint but if there’s no naval maps why would there be naval vehicles?  No naval vehicles if there were naval maps I can get behind but how dare there not be vehicles I can’t use anyway is laughable.
 
As is complaining about the ingame music in my opinion.  Outside of Halo, I don’t think I could identify the music, or even the genre of music, used in any other games menus.  Even something like Destiny where I’ve got almost 2000 hours playtime I’ve still got no fucking clue.

I am opting for retards 🤣 they massacred my team going for the A flag . I had to do it to them 💦

When it works 👌

I played every single day of early access, 8 have encountered 1 to a max of 3 issues . I COULD NOT GIVE A SINGULAR FUCK. I still enjoy the game , do some things need a little balancing or buffing? Yeah but that will come in time . 
 
I have been playing Battlefield for as long as i can remember so i am well used to bumpy starts and launches 🤣 it is still better to me at least than any experience CoD could cook up 🤷‍♂️.

I'm going to against the grain and say I enjoyed what we played last night.  I think some of the stuff people make a fuss about isn't a big deal, like the scoreboard.  I care about how I'm doing personally and how the overall match is going - both of which you can see.  I have no interest in how l33tFaze420Blazeit or whatever their names are is getting on.  Though other things, like the spotting system is a big problem as it's such a core mechanic of a Battlefield game.
 
The one thing I am missing though is the smaller non-vehicle game modes but they can be played in the browser so it's the end of the world.

I've already requested a refund. I literally cannot bare to play another minute of this tripe. I can't be arsed to go through all the problems so I poached these points from a review which briefly nails just a few major issues with the game
 
No campaign
No classes
No scoreboard
No all chat
No VOIP
No server browser
No medic nearby indicator
No squad switching
No team switching
No stats page
Lesser destruction
Poor optimization
Tons of bugs
Hitboxes are broken
A small number of guns
Lack of game modes
Cringe voice lines
Hazard zone is a joke
The spotting system is broken
Maps are way too big even for 128 players
Game UI is horrible
Poor audio design
 
For all the bad COD games and the broken BF titles previous, this by far is the worst FPS I have ever played from a technical and conceptual standpoint. 

Quick update chaps , i have been playing the early access multiplayer and when you look past the odd graphical glitch (I have the launch version of the PS4 btw) the gameplay mechanics are great . I am legitimately having a blast. Then again the odd texture pop I've become a custom to 😂😂

I bought the Gold edition for whenever i can afford to move to PS5. I cannot wait to get my hands on it in the early access days, i am going in completely open minded to see what the next evolution is for the franchise.  I believe the specialists are simply a means to an end in terms of micro transactions. There is no doubt in my mind it is to replicate cods financial success with skins .

Not going to go to in depth but my wife of 8 years which we've been together for almost 21 years has really screwed me over.
What she's done is morally wrong to throw away 21 years two kids aged 15 and 18 we've so much history and been through so much all gone. 
Most of my friends locally have either passed moved away my family know what's happened and only a hand full check in on me and they're not even  my immediate family. 
Which brings me to you guys the FG GT guys know what's happened I've spoken to a couple through different message formats but the support I've gotten is far more than people around me locally for that I thank you and to anyone that's in any party chat that doesn't even know what's happened. 
If it weren't for you guys and FG I wouldn't be feeling how I am now and most likely still in a mess. 
It's only been a month since I found out but all I care about is my kids getting a place once they house is sold next year which we've only had for 2 years. 
I promise I won't bore you lot with my troubles much in chats as i must sound like a broken record 😂 but again thank you guys it means the world to me the support I've had off you.

We might be busy doing bits and pieces (there is soooooo much to do 😅) but we try to ensure that a few people get recognised to give them a big smile along the way. We wouldn't have it any other way would we?? The FGFGF recently:
 
As mentioned above, @Antpool84  has been a great addition to FG this year and whilst he's tried to get involved in many game nights, the storage has been holding him back for some time. Hopefully the 2TB external drive goes a little way to keeping his smile on his face. Huzzah!
 
Equally, we never thanked @jordie1892  back in the day to help create and get the FIFA mini euro league up and running. To get over 40 matches done was immense considering we hadn't done anything like this before and as a gesture to one of the coolest FGers we have, some FIFA Points went his way so he can boss everyone on Ultimate Team in FIFA 22 😄
 
Finally, our resident Batman Chad @Riff Machine , has gone through a hell of a lot of late so it felt logical and common sense to perk him up with a few goodies below and some Steam vouchers so he can find something to enjoy on his PC. We're always here for you big man 👊
 
We have lots more to do, loads of ideas and thoughts to implement and we're nearing Christmas (a little too quickly, even for me), so where possible we should and must continue to make people smile with the FGFGF and keep donating when and where you can. Who knows....if I/we can find the time to muster something on similar lines to the Big Xmas Giveaways we've done in the past then we'll certainly give it our best shot to try.

Best forum and people ever! 

I promised you all for a special update from the FGFGF on my recent update about summer improvements to FG, so here it is! Buckle in tight for this one 😄
 
As most of you will hopefully know by now, La @RenFengge has come into help me a huge amount of late and she found an opportunity within lockdown to do a few extra special gifts as we had a few generous people in FG that could contribute significantly to help make a few people smile.
 
First off, Bob @Baabcat  has been here for many years and we've seen him be amazing of late, trying super hard to help many of the Destiny 2 FGers get involved and put up many raids each and every week. Its crazy to think that after nearly 7 years of Destiny, the past 6-12 months is the most active it has ever been at FG with so many complete FG raids, dungeons and Nightfalls done with each other. A large part of this was down to Bob so we duly obliged when knowing Charlie @Venom  had a PS5 but his Dad didn't. After working out the logistics with Clive @Teenwolf25 , we informed Bob online how great he is and gave him a huge smile from the FGFGF with a new PS5.
 
Secondly, Gary @techno  has been a mainstay in FG for so many years and helping in areas that people really haven't seen before but he's always there to pick you up when you need it most. He always offers advice, even when you didn't realise it. It was about time this guy from 'up Norf' received something extra special, especially whilst he has to be ploughing money into huge alterations in house for his wife that has a degenerative disability. Thanks to a few more significant others, we were able to not give away one PS5, but two! (Logistical mare with how he got it but it was paid for nonetheless 😄).
 
A shipping problem lies with our merch currently, but i've managed to test a few new design hoodies out, finally sorting the last Xmas FGFGF giveaway present to @Dan94  and for all his continued efforts with his artwork and helping me significantly with his amazing Gran Turismo Articles, @Greboth received his own personalised hoodie.
 
Some also might not be aware but our beautiful Scottash @Nutcuttlit  had a horrible scare recently when his daughter was knocked over by a car. Whilst battered and bruised she soldiered on like how her Dad can be, so we thought we would send the best current release on Metacritic, a 2 player co-op game It Takes Two. Hopefully the smiles can keep wash away the bruises over time 😄
 
There was a few FG mugs given out too, @Findmartin  @TonyAE86  @Lurch  @Antpool84  to name just a few.
 
We're working quite hard to get some extra things to other FGers outside of the UK too. Its more of a logistical nightmare (and has been for a few years) but watch this space and we're extremely hopeful of doing further good things to keep people smiling around the world in the not too distant future.
 
Lastly, don't get take the next part lightly.
 
Thank You. ALL OF YOU people have shown you have the ability to keep making so many people smile and happy, especially when it hits some people's lives when they need it most. There's some of FGers out there that won't be named that are at their darkest points, and stuff like this - showing that you care for others at such a hard time for all of us - helps them realise life is worth living.

My Internet decided to shit the bed on the beta days which was the big sad. But i somehow managed to get a game in using my mobile hotspot and i was seriously impressed. 
 
At the start i was not a fan of the specialists as i liked the original class structure.  I feel like everyone and their mother will pick McKay for the grapple.
 
But by the end of my brief session i got that Battlefield feeling,  where you just want more. I am stoked for this release and cannot wait to get my hands on the full game and create more of those Battlefield moments with you lads
