Baldur's Gate 3

That’s more like it. I will definitely be adding all of these to my library!

SIFU was my second favourite game from 2022, behind only God of War Ragnarok! 
 
I adored SIFU and it remains one of my proudest platinum trophies! Highly recommend people try it if you haven’t yet, now is the perfect time!! 

Not my sort of games so don't think I will get much out of this month, note that Witch Queen is not a new offering either and was on PS Plus previously, this is obviously just to try and draw players in before the new expansion I suppose.

I think thats a slightly better than half decent I think! Everyone should be putting adding them into their library, the last F1 game i tried was pretty good so its nice to see that latest one enter the collection. I'd tell anyone here that hasn't got Witch Queen to bank it in their library ASAP if we do call on it from June onwards.

Not a bad month.

I will give them a go, I usually do so anyway at some point. Steel Rising I had looked at before as it is by a studio that has produced some games I have quite enjoyed albeit they tend to have issues technically. This is a bit of a souls like game if that takes people's interest but I think at the time the reviews mostly complained about that because it didn't really bring anything new to the table.

Rollerdrome is actually pretty fun.  I’ll give foamstars  a go.

Disappointed, probably won't be playing any of these.

I borrowed Steel Rising from a mate, didnt fancy it. 

As much as these games don’t appeal to me personally, I am always happy when PlayStation offer brand new games releasing on the service day one! I think they should do more of this.
 
I will definitely try out Foamstars, unlikely il try the others.

It's so weird that you say this as I reinstalled it on Friday. @techno and I were gonna have a little play but a 132gb download quickly put an end to that. It's fully updated and ready to go though, maybe I'll even put something in the calendar for Friday.
 
I'm so bored of cod it's unreal. 
 
I even subbed to WoW for a month to see if that would keep me busy but after running a few dungeons I'm just bored again.
 
Helldivers 2 looks ace but my days of spending cash on games that get played a few times and then get abandoned are done, I'm only spending cash on stuff I really intent to get stuck in to. 
 
I really wish Playstation would give trial periods of games, even just an hour to get a feel for it is usually enough.

There's really not much new in this space aside from the above. I'd probably say Remnant 2 which is a cross between The Division and Bloodborne. 

I've been making my way through this when @Rumelylady isn't cleaning a playground on Powerwash Sim, and it's been pretty decent so far.  I like all the case boards, and connecting the dots with crimes.  Wake has a writer's board that functions similarly but allows him to "change the story" which essentially shifts the environments to get further.
 
Visually, it looks amazing from top to bottom.  They do an excellent job utilizing light sources that boarders on damn near realistic.  I also dig the real-life cinematics throughout the game so far.  Remedy knows their shit when it comes to that.  The voice acting is great as usual. 
 
So far so good.  

I just beat the story for Alan Wake 2 last night! Overall, I enjoyed the experience, however I did find the combat to be quite clunky and unsatisfying. I actually much preferred the combat in the original Alan Wake. 
 
I actually didn’t like Saga’s mind place as much as I was hoping. Alan’s plot board was a little better but still not quite what I was hoping for. 
 
The visuals are phenomenal and I loved the way they used live action footage, Remedy are definitely the masters of this right now! 

The voice acting is also fantastic for basically every character in the game! Speaking of characters, I really enjoyed all the new characters, and the reoccurring ones! Saga Anderson is great and hopefully a staple in the series going forward.
 
The story is … great! But it’s a real mindfu**! Obviously this game is part of the RCU (Remedy Connected Universe), so has links to Control. You can play Alan Wake 2 as its own game, but it definitely helps to play Alan Wake and Control first. 
 
It’s the kind of story which leaves you with more questions than answers, and it wants to come up with your own theories about what has happened and why it’s happening. 
 
I’m really hoping there are others here on the site that have beat the game, as it’s definitely a game that you could spend hours debating and theorising! Anyone played it and have their thoughts? 
 
If I had to put a score on it, I would give it an 8.5/10! 

Agree with you on the combat.  It didn't feel great at all, but serviceable to what you had to do.  I'm looking forward to the next entry.  I also wouldn't mind seeing a Control sequel.

Control 2 is already in the works!

I won't lie, I'm a little burned out with this COD already. I am trying to keep it more engaging by switching up weapons, playing around with the flamethrower n such the past week but there are a couple of dreadful maps i.e. Highrise, shipment (this is fine for camo grind but should just be kept away from the main playlist I think).
 
My gripe's not necassarily the game itself, it's fine and typical COD, gunplay is good but my gripes -
- Even now spawns in a game can very quickly still become a clusterfuck, the number of times I have spawned in (particularly with smaller maps) and spawned right in front of someone to be shot in the back is absurd. Then with larger maps, you only need one person to sit in spawn sniping and then you can't get away from it.
- Maps, the MW2 maps are great nostalgicly but they are getting tired. In fact the reintroduction of some of the maps from the last game have for me been one of the best aspects of COD lately and I think there is a gulf between them. The 3 lane design in principle seems simple with newer maps but I think due to that the games flow better, a game of domination tends to result in points swapping either end and provides options for flanking and flipping spawns which is a plus for me.
- Player base, I know there isn't much that can be done here but we do come across some toxic lobbies. I am fine with camping and such generally but when you get a whole lobby doing it then it get's tiresome and those matches become really dull.
