I've started my quest in playing my backlog of games. Since Saturday I've finished FireGirl and Syberia. Currently playing The Inner World.
I'm not going to play games that are long, so no RPG's for the time being, nothing grindy like Stardew Valley that requires farming. Each game must have a story to follow and preferably not extremely long.
I'm going to use HowLongToBeat website to keep track.
https://howlongtobeat.com/user/DaddaZilla
Could be a good way to see what each of us are playing at a time if we add each other as friends.

The last thread got a little long, so a fresh start. I've spent my evening going through my games to see what's still hanging around in my spreadsheet.
I haven't looked at these for quiet a while. I lost track of everything, so this got a little messy. Placed in spoilers to keep thread clean. These games to my knowledge are not redeemed by anyone, nor the keys expired. If any don't work I apologise.
*New accounts less than a month old and less than 30 posts will not receive any games. This is to avoid spam and new people signing up who are only looking for snag free games without being involved in the community, as I'd much rather give back to those who make this place what it is*
Just post telling me what you'd like and I'll start a private conversation.

Too big. I think I have a problem. I have plenty of top quality games to play, I just choose not to play them. Dishonored series, Bioshock series, Borderlands series, every Star Wars game, most Assassins Creed games, Metro series, older Stalker games, Fallout games, and many more like it. The only series I've really sat down and played through is Splinter Cell as I love them games, although I didn't finish Blacklist.
I have over 1,600 on Steam after redeeming my keys from this Humble Turkey bundle. About 300 on GoG, and this doesn't even include the games On a Uplay, EA or even Epic. Then I have around 60-70 disc games on PS3 with many many more digital games, 50ish on Xbox360 and around same on Nintendo Switch.
Everytime I tend to gravitate towards games that don't have a story, currently can't put down Elite Dangerous and also running No Man's Sky on Nintendo Switch. So these games either be very large in scale or you make your own story. Most of the time these games are time consuming.
I go through periods where ill reinstall older games with the intention to complete them. I started one of the first MoH PC releases but haven't touched it in weeks now. Just pretty much uninstalled everything again this morning.
If only I could be bothered to dedicate at least 1 hour each day to a different game, and only install one story based game at a time along side my main games, I might actually finish them. I just find the pull towards my main games too much.

Türkiye-Syria Earthquake Relief Bundle
WWW.HUMBLEBUNDLE.COMSupport vital earthquake relief efforts for the people of Turkey and Syria by purchasing this bundle, with 100% of proceeds going to charity.May be of interest to some of you. Pricey but it does have a lot of content. Not a huge amount of top quality this time but it's for charity.

I'm excited to see what else they release. I've been playing Kuru Kuru Kururin, which I'd never heard of until this release. Gets pretty challenging with the puzzles but it's a great pick up and play game.

I keep meaning to play these Gears games. I have them for my 360, but always end up finding something else to play. Are you playing these on GamePass or Xbox One?

Jumped on to sort my graphics and controls etc
I'm at 1440p with a mix of mostly high and some medium settings.
Found a decent server and tested it all out. FPS is over 100 and game runs smoothly.
Good to go 👍
Bare with me, trying to stop my daughter having too much screen time after school, so introducing her to board games. It's best when I jump on, I'll put myself in a Discord voice channel, so if you see me playing and in Discord, I should be ready.

@phil bottle, That sounds like a plan ☺️. I want to get over that fear of talking and I suppose the only things I see stopping me is having nothing useful to say, sounding like an idiot, not being listened to / heard, sounding boring. Which pretty much sums it up 🤣.
@NCA-Paendrag sure it was snipers? This game only takes a single shot to down an enemy. Running into open fields on the front line is obviously a bad idea though 😅.
Had some amazing moments on the Foy map in the snowy forests.
I do love the sense of war this game gives off, not the Hollywood movie war action you find in CoD and BF games.
@Jason @NCA-Paendrag if me and @phil bottlestart playing, and he sticks with it, perhaps consider giving this another go as a team?

So thanks to the generosity of FG's FGF, I claimed HLL from the store. I wasn't sure what to expect with performance, I do remember trying it out during a free weekend and ultimately giving up due to performance. To my surprise this game is running pretty decently now, feels more optimised for sure. I can't make it look graphically pretty but it's playable for most of the time. Frames do drop in more built up areas but due to the slow style of game, it's manageable.
It's a lot of fun, I do still struggle with communicating, I have my mic ready to go, but finding the commitment of talking difficult to overcome.

Well looks like my Dad might need to sign up for his own account. This new method sucks all round for everyone. I'll only keep it because of how much usage it gets from us.

So without watching the vod. How did this go down with his wife? Did he lie his way out of it? Providing she didn't already know about this.

I always used to play medic too! Got so many points not shooting a single person 😂
Indeed, although my aim is horrible anyway, rarely I'll go over 10 kills in a round, double the deaths but still end up within the top 10 players. So works out for me. 😅

Stealing thread idea from another forum, and I'm unsure if we have or had one of these.
We often times change up the games we are playing. So what games are you playing now?
I'm in a war phase, so I downloaded Battlefield 1. I forgot how much fun this game is, hectic gameplay and lots of action. I only run as medic and I most of the time end up topping stats for most revives in a round. Gotta keep pushing somehow!
If we have one of these that I've missed, delete or merge this thread.

Have a look at local ads on places like Gumtree, oftentimes something decent shows up when they don't know exactly what they're selling or it's true worth.
I don't have the room to collect but once I do, I'll be picking up some things here and then.

Really sorry to hear about her passing @GazzaGarratt, I hope you and your family was able to have a good day.
I took my girls round to my sister's on Christmas Eve, we have a family gathering that day. So I mainly went for the girls to see the family we don't usually see. I'm never fussed about going but if I don't want to go, I get blamed... I was really happy my youngest was getting tired which gave us an excuse to leave, just before they started playing games, which I don't care about doing but would be moaned at had I not joined in.
I did have a fire tablet lined up for my eldest's birthday at the end of January, but I caved and decided to let her open it for Christmas. She doesn't get anything big from us and it makes me feel bad that I can't get her nice things.
Christmas Day has just been spent at home, which hasn't gone without issues throughout. The girls seemed really happy though, which is all that matters to me.
Next few days I'll just divide time between chess, gaming and the girls, possibly a bit of reading if I feel up to it.
Merry Christmas FG.

Some 8BitDo controllers like the N30, M30.
Raphnet Adapter N64 to USB which allows the use of an official N64 controller and it's the only adapter that can support Rumble/Memory packs.
Venom Arcade Stick which I upgraded to SANWA buttons and stick. Had for years and I use this mostly for MAME and fighting games.
As you see, the ones I would say have been my best purchases all relate to playing retro or MAME games on PC. One day I'd love to buy a cabinet or a bar top cabinet.
Oh and back in 2013 I had this shipped from America as you couldn't buy it over here. it's pretty much a golf stick designed for the Move controllers on PS3. Used this to play Tiger Woods games, really nice product. I still have it but don't have room to use it here.

I've put around 60 hours in T7 so far. I play MAME, so play arcade fighters on them sometime and I have Fightcade setup if I fancy an older game. Add me and maybe we can play sometime, same name as here.

Do we have anyone here who plays fighting games?
I've dipped on and out over the years, but never tried actually learning due to the difficulty. I recently upgraded my aging Venom PS3/4 arcade stick to SANWA buttons and joystick.
I've started playing T7 and yeah I'm a noob who loses 98% of match ups but still trying to learn Asuka and the Korean Back Dash.
