Sennex got a reaction from phil bottle in Borderlands 4
Compared to what though? Does my shotgun shoot in waves? does my pistol turn into a grenade? Do I have to listen to Villains talk like drunk white frat boys attempting to sound like hip hop artists?
BL1 had a solid balance IMO of gimmicky weapons, and dialogue that was funny.
IDK man, these games are clearly not for me, I'm going to go yell at kids on my lawn

I still prefer 1, but 2 wasn't bad. Tiny Tina ruined it for me. That and the constant need to have weapons do things other than shoot straight was just way to much.

Yep, first two were excellent and had a certain charm to them, I enjoyed them a lot.
If I want a Borderlands experience I can always go back to them, 2 still holds up really well.

Sennex got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in Last movie you watched
Finally watched Happy Gilmore 2, 28 Years later, and Nobody 2
Mixed opinions on all of them. Not really sure what to say.

Sennex reacted to J4MES OX4D in Battlefield 6
I tried the new map on the BF6 beta and it's very small once again - possibly the smallest so far and there is no vehicles even in conquest. It's pretty chaotic with players often bunching and running around aimlessly and you can be killed in many directions. Even spawning on a flag can see you spawn well outside of the radius and literally within shot of an enemy. This feels more like a 48 player map tops and plays like a domination match. This basically means I have played on half of the maps available in the final game with 3 being overly small and the other being a linear-medium one. I'm worried they are going to get old fast because after less than 5 hours in the beta, I'm pretty burned on all of them aside from the new one and there isn't one standout game I have played in that feels dramatically different with a shift of class or strategic approach.
The new map does look half decent

Sennex reacted to J4MES OX4D in Heretic + Hexen
I primarily played Heretic but from what I remember about Hexen, it was similar but much harder and had some very complex maps. I think this remastered version actually includes hints and waypoints it's that tough!

Paul Tassi with another great article:
Destiny 2’s Power Leveling And Loot System Is The Worst It’s Ever Been
WWW.FORBES.COM Destiny 2 has a significant problem with how power works with loot in The Edge of Fate, and it's created a terrible situation.
-------- From the article -----------
Accuse me of being overly negative about the state of Destiny 2 if you want, but there have been so many backward and baffling decisions in The Edge of Fate that it actively makes me upset, given how long I’ve played and loved this game.
Right now, the combination of how power level and loot farming interact in Destiny 2 is the worst I’ve ever seen. Sure, actual loot itself has been much worse (remember fixed roll days?), but how you power and get loot is simply inexcusable, and I have no idea how this system was designed.
The longer this expansion goes, the more clear it becomes. Destiny 2 is now nothing more than a slow crawl through 450 levels of power with loot being a side-effect of hitting those marks, rather than a true chase.

Man, I loved Heretic back in the day. I never touched Hexen though, honestly didn't even know it was a thing

I finished The Final Shape today and enjoyed most of it. I certainly liked the location more than Neptune as it felt more Destiny-like. The story was also more interesting and characters less irritating although The Witness did waffle on a bit too much. Fortunately this happens mostly on the fly so you aren't stalled too much. I did find some of the puzzles painfully easy but some of the firefights were less intuitive. The campaign flowed really well until step 29, where you are then plied with over an hour of annoying busywork that lacks substance and it just feels tacked-on. The conclusion which was a big-raid type finale was also very disappointing after what was a promising build-up in the hours previous. The Zavala storyline as mentioned by Sennex was just a weird inclusion out of nowhere - still I prefer this than having to suffer Osiris and Nimbus again though.
The bit towards the end where you rally your team which consists of tedium and silly mechanics pissed me off the most though - getting blitzed from all directions whilst reflecting and matching up balls of light to ritual sites was so stupid. I just wanted to carry on but all of this felt like they were stringing out the content for an extra hour and 15.

Final shape is fun to solo, but the forced grouping after the main campaign was annoying, because people would just randomly charge around and do the stuff they needed to get done, but not communicate that at all.
Also, be prepared for a really janky Zavala storyline

I finished Lightfall yesterday and was glad to put it to bed. I had to drop the difficulty to normal because it was no fun playing on legendary here unlike the Witch Queen. Firefights were just full on spongey spammy enemies and you would get obliterated from all directions in some battles. A couple of missions were enjoyable to a degree towards the end especially the tank one which reminded me of Halo but most were forgettable with boring objectives and predictable fights. The story was ok but written poorly and the likes of Nimbus and Osiris were both unbearable characters throughout. Worth finishing for the subclass and the story conclusion though.
Completed the intro mission to The Final Shape which seems a much better location but I'm not sure if I'll start it yet.

Lightfall had some really odd choices for gated content. Which was really dumb considering there is no reason to gate it currently, but last I played it still was.
Honestly the last really fun expansion was Witch Queen. Everything that came after was just a lot of confusing decisions from Bungie. I still played the it up until a few weeks ago, but I just didn't understand why they did what they did.

Witch queen had really decent power scaling. One of the reasons it was a ton of fun. They needed to do more expansions like it,

I did most all of the campaigns on every character from D1 to D2, Final Shape just broke my will to do it.

Agreed, it was a really bad expansion, only did it on one character and that was because of the armor bounties. Still though, if you can get in near the keep, the Public events were wildly popular up until I stopped playing.
