    Minecraft

I was told to type here LOL
  3. I can see where that would be confusing I haven't looked at the results or anything, I was asked by folks, so tried to provide feedback
  4. I started ignoring Cross Play when you made this post, and others pointed out that none of us play on Xbox. It didnt' change the discussion though, or the drive to be more inclusive to others with less robust systems, are new to the game, or would rather not have to deal with mods (installing them, maintaining them, etc.)
  5. Base minecraft is more stable, I forgot to add that as a pro.
  6. Well, you all stated you didn't care about cross play. My answer wasn't pointed towards that, it was more so to have him test out if he CAN run the latest versions. Cross play doesn't change the discussion, it was simply the catalyst that brought it forward. We all play Minecraft Java version, thats all any of us will ever play most likely
  7. This is true. If you haven't touched the mods, then you don't really lose anything.
  8. I don't believe so Easiest way to test is to go into the minecraft launcher and tell it that you want to play the "Latest Version"
  9. Quick list of the Pro's and cons: I tried to keep this really simple and straight forward (I know you all will have questions. Post them up and I will explain what I can) Pro’s Less intensive for player PC’s to run Less Intensive for the server (potentially we could downgrade, but not sure we want to) Easier crafting Newer Recipes/ revised Recipes Easier learning curve Future updates will not cause the world to reset More creative maps/ world options Future updates will be able to be incorporated Resource world based off of the main world with better control of rare resource spawn Far more stable Neutral Changed Recipes Cons Loss of complexity Loss of all mods Stuck in the current version Loss Recipes/ revised Recipes Loss of some customization that mods give World Reset
  10. I think you will be fine to be honest. Java is pretty universal.
  11. So I have actually been pretty swamped with work, school, and helping my wife get her business off the ground. I will attempt to have a reasonable answer for you all in regards to the mods soon. My goal here will be to make it more sustainable and easily upgradable(sp) for the future.
  12. Same, it looks like a more enjoyable "last of us" Via the FG App
  13. Its not an issue, ignore those rbat say it is Via the FG App
  14. Thats my problem as well. If characters could go cross system, I would have it on both!
  15. "Raw" gameplay on a pc that was setup to specifically render this video
  16. I did not, I will look for it in a few
  17. A few folks have asked privately for me to do a more thorough vetting, of all this and to properly write it all up. The focus is to be more inclusive, with less of a massive learning curve, and with an eye on newer versions. I will start that tonight.
  18. The story was so grating to me. Infamous 1 and 2 were much better. It was all about actually being a hero and making tough choices, and less high school teen fighting the "man"
  19. Almost ALL minecraft is free once you purchase it. For this, yes it would be free. Some mod authors have started charging for their mods, but they can eat a dick. Everything I would do would be free.
  20. I'll pass. CoD died for me with Black Ops 2. Games like Destiny are all I really care about playing these days.
  21. I didn't enjoy Second son, the first 2 were far better for me. Something about angsty grunge kids fighting in seattle was just annoying. Visually though, that game was amazing
  22. I don't think I am accurately portraying the changes that have happened in the game. If you really want to see how different it all is, go into the launcher and choose the latest version, make a world, and just explore the recipes and stuff
  23. There are a lot of additions to the latest versions of minecraft, but very little mod support. That is about to change in a big way. When Microsoft bought Mojangg, it was unclear what was going to happen, so mod authors stopped working on projects. Mod support in the form of Forge, Cauldron, Spigot, and Bukkit were still updated, but everything else died. All of that is about to change. We know Minecraft: Java will be around, the mod api should be coming out soon, which will make things easier. That being said. Mojangg has added some amazing things to the last few iterations of minecraft. We all play on 1.7.10, the latest version is 1.12. 1.8 Update - http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Bountiful_Update 1.9 Update - http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Combat_Update 1.10 Update - http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Frostburn_Update 1.11 Update - http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Exploration_Update 1.12 Update - http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/World_of_Color_Update Things like eleytra's, shields, skulkers, concrete, etc all make the game far more interesting. But currently we would lose a bunch of mods, not all, but quite a few. (Not to mention changes to recipes) I can write up what we would lose as far as mods later if you all really want to have the conversation. Honestly speaking we are not far along in this world. It might feel that way to you all, but honestly we are not.
