Server is pegged out at 90% ram usage, I don't see why though. A few things that could cause this. Teleporting across a lot of areas really fast. Everyone is flying To many animals spawned Someone has a mob spawner I can try a few things, but its not a catch all Also lets try this real fast If you want to check your latency with a server just log onto Minecraft and add the server you want to test to your list of servers. When it's added there will be a small icon in the top right on the server field just above the amount of slots the server holds. If you hover the icon it will tell you the ping of the server. Fast Ping: <100ms Medium Ping: 100-250ms Slow Ping: 250-500ms Laggy Ping: >500ms

I didn't hit it in the resource world, so I didnt' know it was happening there I will bump this up higher on the fix list.

I know last time this hit tommy the server log didn't post any errors. So I am not really sure what the deal is, but I will look into it some more as time allows

For Bukkit servers there was a plugin that changed night to day as long as half the players online were in bed. I can attempt to find something similar for Forge servers. So far I have never seen anything like it though.

The World border is not visible currently. Normally it should be a white haze, that when you hit, it bounces you back. Currently it locks you in place, don't allow you to move, and spams your chat with error messages. I am looking for a fix. Currently the only resolution is to teleport out of it. I strongly recommend using the Dynmap if you attempt to go exploring around the borders.

I found a village in the far NW corner of the map. Its all broken apart and the houses are destroyed by tree's and mobs. Most of them were infected and had turned into husks. If everyone is cool with it, I am going to set up shop there. Rebuild and fortify the settlement. I have left everything in the chests. So if anyone comes to visit, feel free to take a look in them, if you need something, take it. Just don't loot it all. I have a stack of Iron chests in the middle of town that I am using for my stuff. Please don't loot them, as of right now, I need it all. Once I get better situated, I will open up a Donation center for visitors. NOTE: If someone has a claim to this area. I will pack up and move. I am pretty sure none of you all made it out that far yet, but I have only pruned tree's so far, and can easily replant them Here is where it is:

My advice for you is this. Never dig straight down. Never dig straight up Carry a bucket of water on your toolbar next to your pickaxe. If you hit lava, dump the bucket

Server is restarting now. Monsters are live. If creeper explosions damage things, let me know. I turned that off, but need to test it still

It is sort of hidden. I tried to stick with a theme and placed heiroglyphic blocks all around it. Look for a wooden staircase going up into a hill. Its the large Black and purple thing.

ITs not, but you will be in a better position to survive the night, versus someone that starts this weekend. Also, F7 will always work

That server was only up for 6 days. If it takes anyone 1 -2 more weeks to get caught up to that, then they need to play more LOL

Just so folks know, I was leaving mobs off so folks could catch up to where they were on the last server. If we wait much longer to turn them on, then folks currently in will have a massive advantage over those not joined yet

If you need to break them, use that Silk Touch pickaxe I gave you. That way you don't lose them

It is up at the Spawn. If you all want your own. Go nuts Once its mined out, I will reset it I built a ramp to the nearest wall section for you all to mine through. I recommend working together in there. I also recommend walls and other things to keep you safe when mining. Don't attack the pigmen. When you attack one, you piss them all off and they will swarm after you for days on end. If you attack and kill enough of them, they will never de-aggro, and then you can't enter there. I will let you all sort out the rest of the fun that is The Nether on your own.

I set it up to have a very low resource profile, and if more people had multiple monitors, I would honestly push to remove Journeymap, instead of dynmap. Thats just me though

Why not both? Dynmap is still on and running. I can't speak for others, but I have it open all teh time, even when I am at work. That way I can see what folks are up to, and if there are any problems.

I would recommend looking at making a few armor stands, sticky pistons, and then redstone torches, or buttons or switches.
