This was right at the spawn, like within 2-3 chunks. Dont' be afraid to move out and about guys. I want to build the spawn up to a point where we maybe get others involved on the server, and then spread the cost of running it all around even more. To do that, we need to have a decent spawn point. Come on now guys Floating tree limbs, and half chopped down trees is shitty. If you chop a tree down, make sure its all gone. This shit is nerve wracking and screws other people over trying to build in an area. Also, try to replant tree's if you are just gathering for use elsewhere. I don't have time to clean it all up now, but I will replant all of this later. Don't attempt to cut down massive trees unless you have a diamond, or enchanted axe, and even then make sure its in good repair. Leaving tree stumps in the ground (The last pic) is fine, it at least leaves flat ground. If you want to be helpful though, chop all that out, fill it in with dirt, and replant some saplings. Believe me, you won't ever be short on saplings in this game.

Press F3 and A at the same time, it should reload the chunk you are in, which fixes this. (maybe its F2 and A......) Its an old rendering issue, you can also log out, and then back in about 10 seconds later. It will cause a new download of those chunks

The one in the character screen is 2x2 grid the crafting table is a 3x3 grid Most things require the 3x3 grid, if it doesn't then you can craft out of your backpack

It shouldn't, I set the Tree Height determines chop time value to false....... Well I thought I did..... Try it out for me and let me know

If I can clear enough land to get it going, I might add a mob farm at the spawn location. I found a really interesting design for one that I think would work out well. The thing is though, with the mods I put together, you don't actually need one for anything.

Oh yea, If anyone has thoughts for buildings at the spawn area, let me know. I plan on cutting a road straight away from spawn, and then branch it in the 4 cardinal directions. I will provide materials along the way in specially marked chests, "Road Crew".

Don't kill the wolves! Feed them bones, and they will protect you from zombies and skeletons. Then feed them zombie flesh to heal them. Breed more! Oh yea, I am all for people making livestock farms, but don't go nuts yet. Need to make sure that everything works out well on the server side.

I would like to jump in on the WORM raid/ quest. I know how to do the Crota hardmode challenge, and the glitches that happen in it, if you guys want me to walk folks through it That being said, my plates is fucking filled, so I need advance warning of anything you all would need me for

It was fun, sort of a less loot intensive Diablo 3 Ghost rider was goofy, I need to try out Colossus still. I would be on board with playing with others, and I know my son wants to play as well. I would only trust you guys with him though.

Where at? Like how close to spawn are you? Crispy said he was able to harvest just fine, both of you have the same level of permissions

Thats awesome Phil! Some other things I did. Game is set to normal level difficulty, but I changed a game rule. If you die, you keep your inventory. Also with Journeymap mod, when you die it should place a waypoint for where you died. If these two things don't happen, let me know please.

@Greboth- Yes, that "ding" noise is you levelling up your abilities. There are abilities for everything, even falling (Acrobatics) For Torches, yes, it does make it easier to build a spawner, please don't though, at least not anytime soon. I want to make sure everything is running smoothly for a while first. @phil bottle Sounds like you are getting the hang of it!

So two things I didn't tell you I did was to install MCMMO and OtherDrops MCMMO makes everything into a skill, as well as gives you special abilities, that will activate either randomly, or when you right click once with a tool in hand. OtherDrops adds in other drops! you can get glowstone dust from dirt, fish from sand, mining tools from mining, and just a ton of other stuff. /commands in game Everyone can set a home, which you can warp to. /sethome sets the location and /home allows you to warp Everyone can set 3 other warps as well. /setwarp {name} to set /warp {name} to warp Everyone can also Teleport to other players. /TPA {playername} The player that is being teleported to will get a notification, and they will be told the command to type in to allow the teleport to happen If you press F7, then the ground will be covered in red and yellow X Red means that monsters WILL spawn there. Yellow means they might. If no X is present, then no chance of spawning there. Place torches to keep yourself protected.

Working on the spawn area now. Chopping trees and what not from around the ziggurat. I will clear out some of the water, and build an inn, farm, and some roads. I also placed a chest at the very top of the spawn point loaded with pork chops. Take a stack or 3. Let me know if it gets emptied.

Yep, Phil spotted a problem I didn't expect, in that I had set up permissions, but never finished defining them. So Phil wasn't able to chop down trees. Crispy got on, and everything worked out well. I need to write up a set of commands that you all have access to. It is going to be a bit before I do that. I am juggling a lot right now.

I have it down to 58% cpu and 28% Ram We are set for folks now to jump in and help me test everything else

I am in the server now. Testing it all out. So far we are at 98% cpu and 30% ram, which is insane. I am testing it out now to see what the issue is, and if I need to remove something else. I will keep you all updated as I sort this out
