  4. More to come...
  5. Just got back from 2 weeks on the Au Sable so thought I'd share some pics. Fishing was tough this year, caught some nice fish but really worked hard for them. Some days were 6 hours just for one decent fish. Mixed it up with lots of bass, pike and other species this year. I have tons of pics so I'll keep posting them here over the next few days as I get them resized and uploaded. More to come soon...
  6. Good to hear. Have you had to smooth out the hammer before on other revolvers or were you just looking it over and noticed that?
  7. All cleaned up, fueled up, and ready to chase some Smallmouth & Pike on the Au Sable for the next 2 weeks!
  8. 48 hours from now I will be on the road headed to the cabin on the Au Sable for 16 straight days of FISHING, no phones, FISHING, no tv, FISHING, no internet or computers, FISHING, no traffic, FISHING, no stupid people to deal with, FISHING, no drunk neighbors smoking like a chimney every time I try to sit outside, FISHING ......and did I mention fishing?
  9. Hit another weight lose goal this morning. Down to 215lbs now. So total weight lose is 185lbs since the lifestyle change 3 years ago. My original goal back 3 yrs ago was to try to get down to 220lbs, so I've now past that and think I may set a new goal of 200lbs which would be half my weight from the day I started.
  10. Nice!... 4.2" barrel model?
  11. Bart it's made of graphite. Rods use to be mostly fiberglass or bamboo back in the day. Then about the late 70's early 80's graphite took over as the main material for most rods.
  12. This rod is a build for a "Celebrity Customer". This is for the two time NBA Champion head coach of the Huston Rockets and All-Star forward during his career, and now LA Lakers scout, Rudy Tomjanovich. Rudy attended the University of Michigan during his college years so wanted a U of M themed rod. So I decked this one out with all blue and gold for him. Kind cool to have some big name people having me build for them.
  13. I don't have my sound on so no idea what that guy said.....but is there anyway I can un-see that??
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxb1xBqhmWw Starts tonight at 9pm. Looks really good to me.
  15. Don't remember the name but it's always good to see old MW2 guys join up. Welcome!
  16. I actually didn't know she was Ron Howard's Daughter till just after seeing the movie. Opie's little girl is smokin'!
  17. I don't usually go off on these tangents because I think it's like pissing in the wind, but it's getting to be absolutely ridiculous anymore. Leave the damn Confederate flag alone. It is NOT a symbol of racism. Those people that are latched onto that idea are doing nothing but showing ignorance as well as lack of knowledge of history. The person that killed those nine innocent people was a mentally disturbed racist individual, so how about blaming the actual person responsible for the act rather than some misguided blame towards a symbol that a minority of racist people try to use it for. Blaming the Confederate flag for that whack jobs actions is the same as blaming video games or music for other criminals actions. But that's what liberals are so good at these days, knee jerk reactions that make them feel like an activist so they can feel good about themselves rather than addressing the real problem which is the poor state of care for mentally disturbed people in this country, the fact that the justice system is too lenient on criminals (how many times have we seen cops do their job and catch someone that is guilty only to see them slapped on the wrist and turned back onto the street).. as well as the true promoters that fuel the racism machine which is the media. The media loves to push racism because they feel it makes good news. Don't believe me about the media loving to push the race card, we've had three separate mass shootings here in Detroit in the past week where people were killed and up to 11 others shot at each instance, third one just happened tonight so no news yet on that one but here's the first two from the past few days... http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/21/us/detroit-birthday-party-shooting/ http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/one-dead-nine-hurt-shooting-detroit-block-party-n379186 Just with those two incidents alone there were 2 killed and 20 others shot, plus there were little kids involved in the first incident. Yet I bet you did not hear of those happening most likely. Why? because those instances did not involve white shooters so the media can not pump up the race card in those cases. I don't hate people based on the color of their skin. What I do not have tolerance for though is for people that have no common sense. When a heinous crime is committed it's not the gun's fault, or the flag that the person is waving, or the make of the car they drove to the place they committed the crime. As a country we can do as much as we can to try to avoid these instances but what it boils down to in the end is this. There's 7 BILLION people in the world, common sense tells you with that many people they aren't all gonna be sane and normal. My .02 on all this crap I'm seeing all over the news and such. Take it for what you will.
  18. Trout that are smaller like that are not all that hard to catch Dave. Sometimes you'll catch a few in the first 10mins, other times you might only get one in an hour. The harder ones to catch are the bigger ones that are 15"-20" or better. You can go all year and not get a really good one at times.
  19. Shaved it about 2 weeks ago....thinking about growing it back though, I just don't feel "right" without it lol
  20. Just sharing some pics from the past few days. Just got back from a few days on the Au Sable, no better place to be if you ask me. Great trip as always. Just average fish landed, nothing huge, the real trophy spit the hook 10ft from net. Fought a brown of at least 24"-26" that took a streamer yesterday evening, buddy went to unclip his net and walk out and streamer came flying back at me when the fish rolled. Heart breaker for sure but that's what keep us coming back. Still had a great time. Looking forward to heading back up for 16 days in a couple weeks. can't get here soon enough!
  21. If I'm 13 Stone now, I must have been about 5 Boulders when I started It's been a long road but well worth it. I had to buy some new fishing shirts last week and I was able to buy normal XL and still have a bit of roon in them. Same shirts I use to have to buy 4XL in.
