Fixed that for you It was crazy difficult but it was fun, survival games are supposed to be a challenge. Some of the new mechanics take some getting used to but I think once we are it shouldn’t be too bad playing on max difficulty. Though running during the day may have been a little excessive.

I just realised I haven’t updated the leaderboard for the last round. I know my time and Spacedeck’s but @phil bottle and @GazzaGarratt what time did you set in round 2? I also didn’t realise that this rounds ends on the FG awards weekend so if there’s no objections I’ll extend this round by a week too.

I’ve not tried them either, when I’ve made it on GT I’ve been doing laps for the time trial. Though I really only want the Jag and Subaru so I might buy them and just wait to collect the others as free cars. -

Not that zany, nether travel is far quicker than the overworld and who doesn’t love free iron. I was thinking a small one which still generates a few stacks an hour. No way am I going to try and build something as huge as the titan and really I don’t think we need that much iron. Though for an iron farm you need quite a few villagers so will have to build a villager breeder too On the positive side, if I come across any good enchantment trades I’ll filter them out for us to use.

Gave this another 10 laps this afternoon. I managed to screw up most of them but in the middle managed a 1:32.5. I managed a lap where I was 7 tenths up but touched the grass and spun near the end of the lap So a 1:31 is possible even if tricky to keep the lap together.

That is handy to know thanks I won’t tp there though as I’ll build a tunnel in the nether as I’ll need to transport some of the villagers back to spawn.

I can appreciate that Though in the future if you would like something towards to cost then let me know. On a game related note, does anyone know if/where there is village? Preferably close to spawn as I’m thinking of building an iron farm.

Gave it some laps tonight using the M4 and managed a 1:33.052. Interestingly on that lap I set none of my fastest sectors as I messed up so many faster laps A 1:32 is definitely possible, maybe 1:31 even if I can string sectors together without touching the grass.

I’m enjoying having an FG server again, I think the amount of time I’ve spent on it already shows that I didn’t realise the trial ran out but glad you renewed it. Like Plumber, I’m happy to send you money to cover some of the costs. I’ll probably be on less for a while as I want to get some work done on my base on another server. Currently that means replacing over 3,000 blocks with blocks of soul sand. Then I can start thinking of building an actual base rather than a cobble box with a bed. I will still be around thogh as I want to finish the super smelter and build the actual buildings for them. Plus there’s other farms to build, a wither and dragon to kill, end cities to raid.

I haven’t found the time to have a go yet but thanks for letting me know what the best car is I’ll try to have a go this weekend and see what times I can set.

I’ve included all car classes so we will end up with some slow combo’s occasionally. Though I have an unwritten rule that if we end up with something stupid like n100 and Nordeschleife then I’ll re-roll the randomiser. I think a slower combo could be good though, see who maintain their speed through the corners.

I don't think I've driven Brands Hatch in this game, I remember it from some older games but then only really the indy circuit. I know it is quite a fast but precise track to really get the best out of some of the corners so it is going to be interesting to see how we all do.

Damn that is close to my time! Definitely made me sweat more this round than the last one. Maybe I should stop posting videos of my laps until the round is over I saw that the other but had forgotten, accepted

Yeah it is horrible to see what your perfect lap is. With my 15.2 laps my best lap was a 14.3 so losing 9/10th’s over my absolute best lap I know my biggest time losses are the double hairpins just after sector 2 and the weird chicane before the last hairpin. I don’t think I’ll have time today to give it another go so it looks like 15.2 is my best time.

I give up! I gave it a go to get a 2:14 but nope. I managed a 2:15.205 so ever so slightly quicker but couldn’t get any faster. I set a few faster sectors which would have been good enough to get me in to the 14’s but always messed a sector up somewhere.

How are all you Cov lot getting up to Mancs? I presume train or are you driving?

What problems are you having with manual gears? Is it just a practice thing or are you having specific problems? I’ve used manual gears pretty much since I started racing games 20+ years ago so a lot of it I do without thinking but I can try and offer any advice I have.
