  1. I still believe Mei needs to be a support hero. Remove the damage from her freezing weapon. A character just for status effects would still be very valuable, not sure how I would want the change to affect her icicle gun...
  2. No.
  3. until

    nope
  4. I honestly think that is a fair buff to him, the helmet is iconic and should not be able to die from a headshot. Maybe even to gently ease into it, shots to the head will place in a DBNO rather than a kill?
  5. It looks like they are moving away from the pseudo Tom Clancy-ish "we, the special forces dudes, need to hunt that one man who is a leader for that group that's bad and doing evil stuff" story that all the recent Call of duty and Battlefield games have had. This looks like it's a story about people in a bad situation, which is exactly what I wanted these FPS stories to start doing again (like the CoD 1 and 2 days). If Dice can make an engaging and maybe even emotional story this time around, I might get it solely for the campaign. However I'm not convinced that they can write a good WW1 story yet.
  6. When the objective is in garage, Jaeger should be sniping from the top floor. It's easy to get a c4 kill in Visa. Just put a c4 underneath in the basement server room in prep phase. Then, at the start of the round, get on cams and watch visa. It's a popular place of entry. When they approach the hatch, detonate your c4. The easiest room to defend has got to be the server room despite there being 3 hatches to drop from. There are only 2 doors you can walk through, and red hallway is a long line of sight that is almost always guarded closely. The garage is easier to attack because you can destroy the ceiling from the piano room. If someone is camping in the corner behind white van, stick a breach charge behind the piano and you might even down the camper with the explosion. 2F Cubicles are fun to fight in, I think. The desk dividers are all destructible and it creates a lot of tension when you don't know where the enemy is but bullets are being thrown at random, hoping for a lucky headshot. Castle is decent at defending 2F Cubicles as there are perfectly 3 windows to make use of his armor panels. For defenders, peeking windows and roaming on other floors is key. Many rooms that seem impossible to defend (like the CEO Office top floor, above garage), but can be countered by opening up doors and windows on other floors. The balcony on the second floor especially is where I have gotten countless tons of kills because the attacking team is busy rappelling the windows right outside the objective, with no one watching flank. Even in a room like Archives in the basement, it is still essential to have someone watch the floor above to pick off defenders trying to use the staircases. Jager and Valkyrie rule here, but Kapkan also has lots of unique trap placements that trump anything Frost can do. Love this map because there can be such variety in defending. Attackers, watch windows. Watch hallways & staircases. Watch everything. Realistically, there are some rooms on maps (like House) where droning is just not as necessary, but for this map, always drone out before entering the building, most likely someone is waiting by a window or door to spawn kill. Thatcher and Thermite are obviously essential for garage, but other rooms like the Waiting Room on the east side, w/ the vending machines, there isn't even really anything to reinforce. Ash dominates and Glaz can actually be a hell of a counter to spawn killers. I rarely see attackers rappel from or around the grand staircase skylight. If you set up camp outside one of those barred windows overlooking the spiral staircase, you are likely to find a roamer or two passing by for easy pickings. You can sit in the meeting room above lobby and make a kill hole in the floor just above the lobby door. Drop Smoke gas or C4 on them when they walk in. In ESL the lobby/piano room is a pretty viable defense because you force the enemy to try to take upstairs and even if they take that they still have to take the site afterwards. Spiral stairs camera can be seen and destroyed from outside. You can walk behind the building aim up through the grated windows to see the camera. Just make sure you're close enough to the building to see it.
  7. This new series has been created to facilitate the gameplay, metagame, and strategy discussion that often gets buried or lost in the abundance of others posts that flood this sub. The goal of this series is to not only give new players a primer on a specific map, but also for midlevel or competitive players a chance to share the knowledge that they have accrued in their experiences and maybe let people know something that they did not know before. Today's map is Consulate. Iceycat's Tips & Tricks Guide Consulate Wiki The community has outlined a couple of things that they want to converse about with every map, but feel free to branch out should you feel a piece of information warrants its own discussion. Overall map and team strategies for attacking & defending. Secret areas, kill holes, and other techniques that can be used on the map. The best operators to use on the map and different abilities that work & don't work with this map. What strategies have you adopted while playing this map? What is something that a new player should know when playing this map, or what is something you know that would help a veteran player take that next step? Does the map offer an unfair advantages to attackers or defenders? Will Epi ever give us a release date for Bartlett University? What is your overall opinion of this map?
  8. its Ca-VEI-ra Not caviera Not cavera Its pronounced Ca-Vei-Rá Important thing to note with cavs pistol, if the target is not downed no matter what you do you can not kill them with out downing them first. Her pistol is unique in that it can headshot a enemy and down them with that. So if you have the time to when sneaking up on someone aim for a headshot rather then spamming into their back an risk killing them because you fired too fast and shot them while they were downed. Good to note that her melee is non-lethal as well when in silent step. Also if a doc isn't present you can use your pistol to 100% safely down and revive a friendly. Pro teams avoid Caveira and for good reason - she is the most polarizing operator in the game. Her highs are Mt. Everest and her lows are Mariana trench. High risk, high reward. The value of her Silent Step is debatable. Sound is important in the game but as you get higher in ranks, the attacking team's flanks are more secure, there are more eyes watching their six. I definitely think she is the most fun to play as though. I pick her in casual all the time and perform pretty well against the dis-coordination of mic-less teams. Ranked is a whole 'nother ballfield.

The goal of this series is to not only give new players a primer on an operator, but also for midlevel or competitive players a chance to share the knowledge that they have accrued in their experiences and maybe let people know something that they did not know before. Today's operator is Caveira. Iceycat's Caveira Guide Caveira Wiki The community has outlined a couple of things that they want to converse about with every operator, but feel free to branch out should you feel a piece of information warrants its own discussion. The operator’s primary or ideal role in the team. (DISCLAIMER: Operators can be played in a number of different ways. There is no single way to play an operator. This is probably the most subjective segment of the discussion series, and hopefully will spark debates or help us learn things we did not know before.) The operator’s gadget and how it will help the team achieve its goals. Please share any tidbits you may know to help expand discussion. The operator’s loadout, and how best to optimize it. This includes primaries, secondaries, and secondary gadgets. What maps and game modes does this operator do well on? What maps and game modes does this operator struggle with? What teammates synergize well with this operator? What opposing operators check or counter this operator? What strategies have you adopted while playing this operator? What is something that a new player should know when playing this operator, or what is something you know that would help a veteran player take that next step? What is your overall opinion of this operator? Where would you rank them among the other operators?
  10. The main spot for snipers/peekers is pink building top, and yellow building 2nd and 3rd floor window, have someone watching if you're hitting from that side. From the alleyways, watch the doorways, drop your claymores if needed, it's an easy breakout for roamers to pick off rappels. Most obvious spots for roamers is on yellow stairs. Pulse usually hangs around for easy wall-bangs on yellow 1st or next to window on yellow 3rd for rooftop info. Attackers hitting/checking pink either need to do so quickly or drone thoroughly. If you're planning on using pink top for sniping, either get there really early or wait on the bottom of the stairs. Early is self explanatory, but if you're late to the stairs, wait for someone to check for you. Other than general reinforcing tips, you do need to consider the actual perimeter you want to cover, i.e. reinforce adjacent rooms to get better cover than making a prison for your team. Castle is an unfavorable pick for this reason. Windows make for easy Fuze points and doorways slows down your roamers.
  11. Clusterfuck central Best way to remember the map and where you are is by the four colors and themed sections pink aunt house(little tower) and yellow drug lab(big tower) are on opposite ends of each other with green sports den and blue biker bar the connecting area between the towers. Green is 2nd floor connector and Blue is 1st floor connector. Also some other good information and tips to know There are no destructible floors on this map only way to shoot from one floor up or down is to destroy trapdoors Top of big tower takes 9 walls to completely reinforce This map requires smart wall placement for defense so tends to be better to focus on blocking key angles from shooters outside then to try and fully reinforce the room With impact grenades you can quickly jump out on attackers using repels from lower floors The cabinet in aunt house next to the kitchen isn't bullet proof and alot of defenders will hide behind it so let them have it

  13. That's a really good easy to follow guide. Nice post Sheasley!
  14. I'll join one if you do
  15. We would need a DM?
  16. One of my fondest life memories was on mushrooms and watching the intro to little big planet for 2 hours.
  17. We should play an actual d&d game, I've never played one before but would try it. I think there are a few tabletop video games.
  18. To me Ash is such a failure. It's been 20 years and he just gets marginally better. Red however, truly becomes a Pokémon master just like you do in he video game.
  19. Be sure to pick up the Wrath of the Machine Quest from Shiro-4 beforehand. Vosik, the Archpriest (Part 1) Kill the Voltage Eater as soon as possible. Someone needs to pick up 4 stacks of Voltage and run to a Foundry Spinner. After enough stacks of Voltage in a Foundry Spinner, it will produce SIVA charges. Throw the SIVA charges at Vosik; they deal massive damage. Once his shield is down, and there’s no more SIVA charges to throw, deal as much damage as possible with regular weapons. Vosik, the Archpriest (Part 2) Vosik is immune to regular weapons until his shield is down. Take his shield down by throwing SIVA charges – throw all 3 at the same time for extra damage. Don’t hold on to them too long or they will disappear. Shortly after throwing the SIVA charges simultaneously, there will be a monitor to the left or right of Vosik that lights up – shoot this immediately until it blows up. Once Vosik’s shield is down, 2 more SIVA charges will spawn in the middle. Throw these as soon as possible, and then prepare to hide. When the “SIVA Density Critical” message appears, find the orange illuminated room on the far left or right side. Everyone needs to be in this room to avoid dying. When everyone is in the room, shoot the lock so that the shield activates. Siege Engine Take out both of the Engine’s turrets, and then the exposed area in the middle. Once the exposed area has been destroyed, you’ll be able to climb atop the Siege Engine. Stay on top of it until it breaks through the wall. A few seconds after breaking through, run to the Engine pieces on the opposite side. Each piece can only be held for 9 seconds before being dropped. Someone else will need to pick it up after 9 seconds of carrying. You will become “Exhausted” after carrying it, and won’t be able to pick up an Engine piece again until Exhaustion ends. Once you get close enough to the Siege Engine, Meksis will be atop of it, and needs to be killed to continue. Continue to rotate the Siege Engine pieces throughout your team and deliver them in the appropriate place. Aksis, Archon Prime (Part 1) Split into teams of two. 2 people should each try to cover the left, middle, and right sides. Kill the Captains holding the cannons; 1 person from each group should equip the cannon. Servitors will spawn in after killing the Captains, and they need to be taken down with the corresponding cannon. Hold the charge to kill them in 1-shot. If you drop a cannon, you won’t be able to pick up a SIVA charge for 30 seconds. Once the Servitors are down, the person that’s not holding the cannon needs to pick up the SIVA charge and throw it at a highlighted SIVA cluster near the boss. After each Servitor is down, and all SIVA charges have been thrown, Aksis will spawn Shanks that need to be eliminated. These steps are then repeated, but after each stage of Shanks, more Servitors will spawn and more SIVA charges will need to be thrown. Aksis, Archon Prime (Part 2) Aksis will be immune until all 3 SIVA clusters are thrown at him. Scorch/Shock/Null Captains will spawn 1 minute after the encounter begins. Kill them and pick up their cannons. Whoever picks up the cannons will need to take out the respective Servitor. 2 people should be on the left, 2 in the middle, and 2 on the right side. The people without the cannons should pick up the SIVA charge left behind by the Servitor and throw them at Aksis. After all 3 SIVA charges are thrown at Aksis, he will teleport to a random location. Immediately have 1 Empowered person jump on the red exposed area. After the Empowered person stuns Aksis, you will have a few seconds to deal as much damage as possible. The person who’s Empowered will vary, so try to have 1 on each side of arena so you don’t miss the stun opportunity. You will have 3 chances to stun and damage Aksis before he becomes immune again. After the third stun/damage phase, Aksis will teleport back to the center and become immune. At this point, everyone needs to jump on 1 of the pillars of light to be protected from the ” Critical SIVA Density” All 6 people should be on the same pillar. Once the Captains spawn in, repeat the steps above.
  20. Thank you! I admit I shot this down as soon as I saw Fifa streamers just spending hundreds on packs. I honestly thought it was a form of gambling, then when it leaked into Madden it agitated the Hell out of me. I appreciate you writing things out, as I admit I was close minded and thought it was a mobile game cash grab inside of a Triple A sports title.
  21. I have watched the show when younger but hated Ash. I loved Pokémon Origins because it was more intense and followed the video games. For only using 3 to 5 minute episodes this has blown away the tv show for me.

  23. That shit is one of the reasons I hesitate to give EA any money, I think it's the dumbest waste of time shit ever. But I can't fault someone on something they enjoy.
  24. I have just realized there's an option to change your background image! Would it be possible to have a solid black background as a selection option?
