  3. It should be relatively affordable right now, but you should watch the episodes from southpark.cc.com and then play the game. You won't regret it.
  4. Bank is a map where you will find few shotgun wielders - line of sights are extremely long down hallways, in the garage, and in the Big Room. It's difficult to justify a competitive CQC strategy unless you are playing vault. Spawn killing can be an issue at times. Watch the windows if you spawn by sewer. Not enough defenders take advantage of peeking from these windows, I think. Spawning on the garage end opens you up to a cheeky peek from in between the front door pillars and the barricade. Defenders (Jäger) can strafe in and outside of the door without alerting attackers. Hide behind the cop car for a few moments after spawning and wait for the peek, then continue. Bank is a great roaming map, as most maps lend themselves to be. I find that there is a LOT more glass on the ground than other maps, so be careful with your steps as it is louder than you think. If you are roaming to CCTV room from Skylight, be wary of that damned metal detector you have to pass to go down the stairs. It can ruin surprises, so act fast, or wait for gunfire to mask your sounds. Always drone out the garage before entering. If you get killed without droning it is 100% your fault and you should feel terrible for playing so sloppy. For some reason, everyone is convinced either Basement level or Top level are always the best locations to defend. In my opinion, Open Area/Kitchen are fairly easy to lockdown. Always check the elevators. Always check the elevators. Always check the elevators. Bank has little verticality to it. Most attackers will be forced to drop through hatches or ascend/descend staircases. A few interesting spots include The CEO office which can be attacked from below in the Archives room, flushing out those pesky defenders behind the deployable shield in the vase corner. The Vault lends itself to zero roof destruction, except for multiple hatches. About those metal detectors, turns out if you melee the button on the physical detector part hard enough, they won't go off. Not sure if wasting your time staring at a thing on the ground leaving yourself open to peeks is worth being "silent" though. Just a neat little thing I thought I'd share. Pretty interested spot I found in this map, its fairly obvious but not many people know about it. When defending the basement head up to the third floor (shotgun required ). Shoot out the hatch in the closet, and then the one directly below it in the office. From the closet you can see down into the tv room without anyone expecting you all the way up there. Also, people tend to walk in the office to use that drop down (especially in bomb ). I can't tell you the amount of C4 kills or just regular kills I've gotten up here. I like using Valkyrie the most so I can put a camera in the tv room and see it but pulse, smoke, caveira are all good choices as well.
  5. This new series has been created to facilitate the gameplay, metagame, and strategy discussion that often gets buried or lost in the abundance of others posts that flood this sub. The goal of this series is to not only give new players a primer on a specific map, but also for midlevel or competitive players a chance to share the knowledge that they have accrued in their experiences and maybe let people know something that they did not know before. Today's map is Bank. Iceycat's Tips & Tricks Bank Guide Bank Wiki The community has outlined a couple of things that they want to converse about with every map, but feel free to branch out should you feel a piece of information warrants its own discussion. Overall map and team strategies for attacking & defending. Secret areas, kill holes, and other techniques that can be used on the map. The best operators to use on the map and different abilities that work & don't work with this map. What strategies have you adopted while playing this map? What is something that a new player should know when playing this map, or what is something you know that would help a veteran player take that next step? Does the map offer an unfair advantages to attackers or defenders? Will Epi ever give us a release date for Bartlett University? What is your overall opinion of this map?
  6. I feel like Blitz as he is now is really only ineffective for two reasons; The extremely wide hitbox he (and the rest of the GSG9) has on his head. As one commenter already said, shoot his earmuff and he's dead. The prevalence of Nitro Cells on Defense. With the Impact Grenade changes this is lessened, but it's still there. It's been suggested a lot, but making it so we can't use the Nitro Cell like some sort of grenade would do a lot for Blitz (and the rest of the Shields) On the subject of Blitz in a vacuum, he's arguably one of the best "first in" operators, because his shield is incredibly good for this exact purpose. Walk into a room, flash, rush the closest defender, kill them before the flash wears off. Because of his model's appearance and what he does, I'd love to see him drop to a 2-2, since jeans and a hoodie under a vest doesn't exactly equate to Montagne or Fuze. All of that being said, as he is now, I feel like Blitz is in a pretty solid place, balance wise. He's extremely effective in tight maps like House and Kanal, and can even be useful in niche cases on larger maps (CEO Office and Vault on Bank come to mind), which I honestly think is the intended purpose of shields. We shouldn't just be picking them in maps where they're at a disadvantage, we should be making a calculated decision. Montagne is great at locking down a door and relaying information to his team. Blitz is a great breach and clear operator in confined maps.

  8. Vision, man what a gun.
  9. The first one was awesome.
  10. I would totally buy this.
  11. Just a good old fashion 6 versus 6.
  12. Spider-Man, Justice League, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Busy World of Richard Scary to name a few.
  13. Such a good movie, the Expendables. Well done!
  14. Oh Bungo.

  16. So are they purely cosmetic?
  17. It goes without saying that he's pretty much trash tier except in the most unusual scenarios, and even then you'd really be better with having one of the other niche operators. He's good fun. Generally, I'd say his problem stems from a good gun really not being that important. When every gun has a low time to kill and a one shot headshot, and being still is a death sentence, even an amazingly overpowered turret would be dubious to say to least. Hell, I think you could give it a one shot chest kill and I still think Tachanka wouldn't be picked much. I do think there are some valid strategies with him, which make advantage of the turret's best and only really good feature - it's environmental damage. It tears chunks out of walls and only needs about two shots before you've got a big enough hole to shoot through easily. This makes it good in ambushing through walls against multiple unaware enemies, especially ones facing the objective. A good example of this is when you're playing secure area on house and defending the living room. If you plant up tachanka in the room under the stairs near the dining room, you can fire through the wall straight towards the objective through the main lobby. It's never going to work twice, and I don't know why you wouldn't just use pulse, but it's fun and hilarious at least. He's also fun to put on top of the boxes of the basement of club house. It's terrible, but it's fun. I know it's a bad joke, but he needs a buff. Personal idea would be to give him bullets that can penetrate reinforce walls (though dealing much less damage) to make him a non-electrical counter to thermite and maybe allowing him to pierce blackbeard's shield too.

  19. Kanal is spawn killer central. Be very careful approaching the building and check every window. My favorite spawn is construction because you can take out both construction and sailboat cameras, but you can also peek from underneath the tractor and check for defending window peekers. Kanal is a roamer's dream. You can almost guarantee there will be a defender in the opposite building looking to pick off rappelers. This is one of the few maps where Glaz does well. Providing overwatch and window pressure on Server room is a huge threat. Boat room is one of the hardest objectives to attack. (Maybe Laundry on Oregon is harder?) Thermite is absolutely necessary for this offense because you don't want to be tunneled down Death Alley, nor do you want to enter from the northern door. Every route that doesn't involve Thermite makes you bottleneck in a predictable fashion, and you will be at a huge disadvantage. If you don't have Thermite or he dies from snipers from the eastern building, try blowing out the floor in coast guard. Buck and Sledge is especially good for attacking Boats since they can open up holes to drop grenades through (if it isn't Hostage.) To help on the boat room, rappel over the outside boat parked down from the death alley door and pop out the space over the reinforced doors. You can get some cheeky kills from there, but watch your left side for roamers coming from the other buildings garage. Plant Bomb Best - Server Room and Control Room Second - Kitchen and Projector Room Worst - Coast Guard Office and Holding Room Secure Area Best - Boat Supplies Second - Server Room Third - Maps Office Worst - Coast Guard Office Rescue Hostage Best - Boat Supplies Second - Control Rooms Third - Maps Office Worst - Coast Guard Office
