  1. Yes, that's why I said "when it becomes retro" with the word "when" suggesting it hasn't happened yet. Keyboard fights are easy๐Ÿ˜…
  2. I hear a bunch of ZX Spectrum games have been released on Steam. In my junior school half the class had Spectrums, the other half had C64s. One poor lad had a BBC micro computer which only had Elite to play. I've not played a bad console so hard to say, they all have great memories, C64, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, GameCube. When it becomes retro though, the Xbox 360 rules them all, without a shadow of a doubt๐Ÿ‘
  3. Ah the 80s, Thatcher, Yuppies, the Falklands, IRA bombings, Rick Astley, leaded petrol fumes, Jimmy Saville, poll tax, Liverpool FC, so glad I was too young for mist of it๐Ÿ˜… The 80s for me were the Commodore 64, playing football with jumpers for goalposts, finding jazz mags in random bushes, a European trophy for Spurs that I only vaguely remember and discovering alternative music.
  4. I'm only here for Desert Strike as SNES>MegaDiv ๐Ÿค— I like both machines๐Ÿ˜˜
  5. No plans at present. BTW I notice you've made a few posts on the forum. Head on over to Introductions and let us know all about you, so we can properly welcome you to the community, or call you a cunt, either is possible with this bunch of miscreants ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
  6. Music is such a beautiful thing, I love it when people share what they listen to. A great way to remind myself there's other music out there ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. GTA 4 is still a good looking game on PC. All of the GTA rehashes have been awful and just further diminished the reputation of Rockstar. It does make you wonder what GTA6 will turn out to be, as it's a bit difficult to parody other aspects of contemporary culture when you've embraced some of the worst aspects of it...
  8. So it seems I was in the first few batches, the second in fact, and I completed the order yesterday evening. This time next week I should be the proud owner of as Steam Deck. My list of games I want to play on it keeps expanding: Disco Elysium Katana Zero Dishonored 2 Hotline Miami 1 & 2 Prey Rimworld Divinity 2 Pillars of Eternity Resident Evil 2 Legend Bowl The Outer Worlds
  9. Not that old but memorable for @GazzaGarratt and his incredible laugh, plus a rare sighting of the lesser spotted @tronic44
  10. @IRaMPaGe Classic film, I highly recommend it. Most of the actors are the musicians of the time. The main guy, Leroy Horsemouth was/is a famous drummer, for example. Classic tunes and translation into English ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. Just vinyl, must have been 10 when that Ghostbusters song came out and I got a record player for my 10th birthday. The first photo is what's left of my 12 inches and the second is when I'm a less excited 7 inches.
  12. Yeah, the neon nightclub level is a thing to behold too. Plays very well and in single player it's very easy to control your AI squad mates. It's very tactical and slow paced, except when the shooting starts ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. Happy birthday guys, veterans both ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜˜
  14. Looks quality. I do like a 2D side scroller when done well... Have you tried Katana Zero? I have it on PC but I'm saving it for the Steam Deck. This looks very atmospheric I must say!
  15. As the old saying goes: "even a fool could appear wise, if they were simply to hold their tongue" ๐Ÿ˜„
  16. Represented Scotland in 1st class cricket a few times too๐Ÿ‘
  17. Ok, so my vote track-wise Gr.3 Watkins Glen No trye or fuel use Any tyres 6 laps Gr.2 Daytona Fuel and tyre use Any tyres 10 laps Gr.4 Laguna Seca No fuel use Hard tyres only 6 laps
  18. Latest update looking good. Excellent game so far๐Ÿ‘
  19. Watkins Glen for certain, it's a great track for racing I think.
  20. Yeah, living in London has the benefit of access to all sorts of music ๐Ÿ™‚ You know what, I saw this and thought, "nah that will be shite" but I take it back. It helps he's using a classic rhythm but yeah I like that a lot ๐Ÿ™‚
  21. You can co-op with 8 people. The good thing about it as that you can set different PVE settings, including difficulty and adding bosses. It's a great way to learn maps without other players getting in the way. I think the upgrade is around ยฃ50 as it includes free access to all the DLC post launch plus a new standalone game mode they recently announced. I originally bought the standard edition and upgraded to EOD as the game was even better than I expected. You also get a larger stash and more weapons and equipment among other benefits.
  22. Nice tune๐Ÿ‘Š Yeah, a dub version is pretty much a remix of a A side in the old days. Producers would normally drop elements of the song in an out of the mix. I'm a big fan, King Tubby was one of the original guys for that along with Lee Perry. They also play around with frequencies. Jah Shaka would often just make the bass vibrate your whole body (and he's a Spurs fan) at his dub nights. A mate of mine from school runs a reggae label and reissues old 7 and 12 inch vinyl so I'm lucky I got to know this music.
  23. Very nice, third world are deffo roots and culture ๐Ÿ™‚
  24. Yeah man, some ska punk is poorly done but this record is a classic
